Foundation and Plinth

The precast drain size above 900 x 900 mm drain segment shall

be jointed using flange-bolt connections with bolts and round

washers’ arrangement, supplied as part of the Drain. Each

section shall have tie-shaped grooves (10–20 mm width and

mm depth) on both ends for proper joint alignment and secure

positioning. The precast product shall have special in-built lifting

insert provisions at appropriate locations to enable safe and fast

mechanical installation, including supply and transportation. The

Precast Product shall be manufactured using advanced precast

technology with High-Performance Self-Compacting Concrete

(SCC) of minimum C-40 cylinder strength / M-50 cube strength,

duly steam cured to achieve enhanced durability. The concrete

mix shall use OPC 53 grade cement with approved admixtures 41.00 Rmt 10563.59

as per IS 456:2000, and coarse and fine aggregates from

natural sources. Reinforcement shall consist of TMT/TMX bars of

Fe-500D grade or higher, conforming to IS 1786, fabricated

using in-house automated reinforcement cage-making systems

to ensure uniformity and precision. The load-carrying capacity

shall be designed for 5-ton wheel/point load and 10-ton axle

loading, suitable for heavy vehicular movement of longitudinal

drain. Each lid shall be provided with two standard slits of

mm x 20 mm along the width for storm water discharge.

The load-carrying capacity shall be designed for 5-ton

wheel/point load and 10-ton axle loading, suitable for heavy

vehicular movement of longitudinal drain. Each lid shall be

provided with two standard slits of 155 mm x 20 mm along the

width for storm water discharge. The Precast Product shall be

manufactured using advanced precast technology with High-

Performance Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) of minimum C-40

cylinder strength / M-50 cube strength, duly steam cured to

achieve enhanced durability. The concrete mix shall use OPC 53 41.00 Rmt 4825.78

grade cement with approved admixtures as per IS 456:2000,

and coarse and fine aggregates from natural sources.
