1. Carrying out Contour Survey Work (Total Area 10000 Sqm) by Total Station include marking of Important structures and utility (Road, Buildings, and Electric/water lines) Contour will be plotted at interval of 2 meter and submission of drawing of 1 soft copy + 6 Hard Copy complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Soil exploration is to be conducted to ascertain soil profile/characterstic to determine safe bearing capacity through field and lab investigation according to relevant specifications of IS 2131, IS 6403, IS 1498 & IS 2720 :-

Surface dressing n exc 15 cm deep in hard/dense soil incl cutting of bushes etc and removing of rubbish at a distance of 50 mtr from site.

Drilling of 150 mm diameter bore hole in all types of soils as per depth indicated below or refusal strata which ever is earlier as per instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge . Refusal defined as and when 'N' value is 100 or more for 30 cm or part penetration.

(a) Conducting standard penetration test(SPT) in the boreholes at 1.0 m intervals in depth or every change of strata which ever is earlier as per IS 2131-1981 (i) For depth up to 10 mts (ii) Collecting disturbed soil sample from the location of conducting the SPT/DCPT (iii) Collecting undisturbed samples at 1.00 m intervals or change of strata which ever occurs earlier. (iv) Analysis for liquefaction potentilals for Earthquake as per Zone-IV of IS :1893-2016(Part-1) (v) Recording the Ground Water Table if observed upto exploration depth,as per IS : 6935:1973 (vi) Conducting allnecessary laboratory tests on samples collected for their different engineering properties.Following tests will be carried out. (aa) Dry density and moisture content (IS 2720 Part -2 & 29)

(b) Collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil sample at every interval of 1.00 mtrs or at change of strata or as per relevent IS Code.

(c) Conducting lab test of disturbed soil sample as considered necessary according to relevant IS specification of 2720:- (i) Sieve analysis & Grain size distribution by sieve analysis & hydrometer test (ii) Atterberg limits (iii) Natural moisture content (iv) Particle size analysis test (v) Bulk density / Dry density

(d) Conducting lab test on undisturbed soil sample as considered necessary according to relevant IS specification of 2720 and detailed result showing all relevant calculations, inference, indices and parameter shall be given in the soil report :- (i) Natural moisture content (ii) Bulk density (iii) Specific gravity (iv) Free swell index and swelling properties of soil (v) Organic materials if any (vi) Consolidation test (compressed index value) (vii) Triaxial compression test & determination of shear parameters (c & ɸ test) as per relevent IS. (viii) Harmful salt (Complete investigation as already ref).

(e) Ground water Table :- (i) Maximum and minimum levels of Ground water in the area with source of information. (ii) Ground water table during the investigations.

(f) Submisssion of Six copies of inkl signed test report with detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results, grains size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc.

(g) The SBC of the soil is required to be given as per following table calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS 8009 (Pt-I)-1976 , IS 2720 (pt-II)-1980 IS 6403, 1981, IS 1904-1986 & IS 1080-1985 and other relevent IS Code and detailed calculation duly showing the various soil parameter/ indices shall be given in the Soil Report - Description of foundation safe bearing capacity of soil in T/M2 for footing size Strip footing 1.2mx1.2m 1.5mx1.5m 2mx2m 2.5mx2.5m Remarks 1m 1.5m 2.0m 2.5m 3.0m Raft footing for retaining wall

(h) With every site's Soil Investigation Reports, a detailed site plan showing the approx location of each bore duly numbered as per log of bore hole should be enclosed Location of foundation of adjacent structures especially those that might be impacted by the proposed construction.

(j) Every page of the Soil Investigation Report should have the Name of the Job for which soil Investigation is being carried out In case of multiple site of a single Job are being investigation name of each site shall be put on each page of report pertaining to the site.

(k) All page of the Soil Investigation Report shall be serially numbered stamped and signed by the Agency carrying out the Soil Investigation Report should be scrutinized by AGE (I) & CWE for correctness & endorsed

(l) Transportion charge including loading and unloading of heavy girders T&P techician etc complete from laboratory to work site and back shall be deemed included in rate quoted by bidders.

(m) Photographic record of geo-exploration as well as testing shall also from part of the report.

(n) AGE (I) shall intimate the approximate type of construction, utilization and dimensions of proposed building to the consultant, who based on Geotechnical investigations should recommend type of foundation (Viz isolated/combined footing, raft, pile etc).

(o) In case of underground building/ basement construction or if requirement of temporary/permanent deep excavation support measure during construction of building are envisaged necessary excavtion support measures to be given by the consultant based on geotechnical investigation.

Notes:- (a) Soil investigation for ordinary rock or hard rock type soil shall be done as specified in IS-12070-1987 Table-I (b) The sample BoQ is for general guidance only. The executive may amend the BoQ as per their requirement with proper justification.
