Erection of fixed staging/scaffolding in way of steel renewal work(Based on Volume Basis, LXBXH). Staging material to be provided by Contractor

Provision of fire sentries for minimum 10 hot work locations /day. Its to be noted that one hot work location means sentries including sentires in adjacent compartments also. Fire sentries are to have adequate knowledge of fire and safety procedures and the same would be checked by RMT prior deploying. Every sentry is to be properly dressed up in proper PPEs and in possession of required type of fire extinguishers in appropriate quantity (minimum one AFFF extinguisher, water bucket with mug, connected fire hose. Sentries posted in electrical compartments to have Co2 fire extinguishers in addition). All fire fighting equipment to have serviceability certificate/ pressure testing details. Fire safety to be ensured by sentries upon completion of job / shift in surrounding areas as well and sentry is required to remain in hot work place atleast 30 min after completion of hot work. Asbestos sheet / fire proofing blankets to be provided during hot work in vicinity of sensitive equipment / electrical systems or cabling, with vendor holding responsibility for damage and repairs in case of fire/incident. All types of materials are to be provided by vendor. Quote for service and material

Cleaning and Gas free certification i.a.w NO 09/12 of Fuel / Oil Tanks, Water Ballat Tanks, Fresh Water Tank, slop tanks and Void spaces/coffer dams. Quote for Service and Material.

Pressure Testing of Underwater tanks/void spaces/cofferdams. Including repairs/blanking of manhole covers (with new rubber gaskets/studs/bolts/as required) and defect rectification of all structural leaks i.a.w NO. 01/15. Material and spares to be provided by contractor. Ballast tanks -08, Fuel tanks- 14, Fresh water tanks- 03, Peak tanks- 02, Slop tanks - 02, Coffer dams - 02 and Void space - 02. Quote for Service, consumables, spares etc. Payment on actuals

Bollard, Bullring/ Mooring, Hawse Pipe and Fairlead - Carry out surface preparation by hydrojet blasting up to bare metal to WJ-2L Standard. Repairs/ renewal to be undertaken as per hull survey report of bollards / fairleads and stiffening members in the vicinity by NSRY survey team. Bollard (qty 13), Fairleads (qty 10), Hawse pipe (qty 02). Note:- After hydrojet blasting, primer application to be undertaken to prevent flash rusting and the same is to be put up for inspection prior to repair / renewal or painting to refit monitoring team. Inspection to be cleared post repairs by NSRY/ QC Team. All kinds of Material for repair or replacement (iaw NSRY survey report) and all associated serv ices to be provided by contractor.

Underwater Hull- (a) Remove marine fouling and loose paint using hydrojet cleaning and prepare the area for inspection within 72 hours of docking. Job also involves opening and cleaning of gratings. Defects to be rectified as per hull survey report by NSRY Survey team. (b) Remove complete old paint to bare metal from hull by vacuum blasting using chilled iron/grit shots of Gr 24 or Gr 17DS Cat no. 5350-000139 or 5350-000140 to achieve SA2.5 standard prior painting. The procedure should give a surface profile of 2-4 mils when measured by surface profile gauge. Mil scale, rust and other contaminants are to be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or dry compressed air and clean brush. The surface should be applied with first coat of paint immediately. Paint scheme on full underwater hull and boot top including wind and water areas i.e. Area up to 500mm above boot top area is to be restored post SA 2.5 standard. Draught marks to be painted with underwater paint scheme and the top coat to be painted with white paint at (i) Forward (ii) Midship and (iii) Aft. Renew defective embossed draught marks. Note-: Navy approved paint schemeof M/s Jotun to be applied. Painting to be carried out as per NO 53/16 and extant policies of Indian Navy on paint scheme of M/s Jotun (c) Draught marks to be painted with underwater paint scheme and the top coat to be painted with white paint at three location each side. (i) Forward (ii) Midship, (iii) Aft. (d) Renew defective draught marks, if any. Note:- Painting to be undertaken with Navy approved paint scheme of M/s Jotun for underwater hull areas. Material and Service to be provided by contractor

Above Water and Weather Decks areas - Carry out surface preparation of weather deck and above water areas (Shipside, superstructure and deck fittings) by hydro jet blasting to WJ-2L standard and prepare areas for hull survey. All structural repairs/ renewal to be undertaken as per hull survey report of NSRY survey team. Restoration of complete paint scheme as per Navy approved paint scheme of M/s Jotun to be undertaken in accordance wth Navy Order 53/16:- (a) Above Water Areas (Shipside, Superstructure, deck fittings)- 840 SqM (i) One coat of primer (Dft 50 microns). (ii) Two coats (each 125 microns Dft) of anti corrosive paint . (iii) One PU Top Coat of DFT 60 microns - RAL 9011 Black for Shipside/Deck fittings, IS-5/358 buff colour for Superstructure, RAL 7040 Grey for deck machinery and miscellaneous fittings. (b) Weather Decks - 950 SqM (i) One coat of primer (Dft 50 microns). (ii) Two coats of anti corrosive intermediate coat (Dft 150 microns each) (iii) Two coats of non -slip epoxy paint D.A Grey NMRL approved (Dft 250 microns each) Material and service to be provided by contractor

Funnnel and Masts- Carry out complete surface preparation by hydro jet blasting to WJ-2L standards. Clean and restore paint of surroundings structure, funnel and Mast structure. Painting to be carried out as per NO 53/16 of M/s Jotun. (i) One coat of primer (Dft 50 microns). (ii) Two coats (each 125 microns Dft) of anti corrosive paint . (iii) One PU Top Coat of DFT 60 microns - RAL 9011 Black for funnel andIS-5/358 buff colour for Mast. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Machinery Spaces (Engine room-450 SqM, Steering Gear Compt - 130 SqM, Pump/ Emergency Pump room - 370 SqM) Following works to be undertaken:- (a) Clean all bilges, machinery foundations, limber holes and drain holes. Carry out surface preparation as per ST-3 standard and painting of the entire area to be undertaken as per Navy approved paint scheme of M/s Jotun iaw NO 53/16. (i) One coat of primer (Dft 50 microns). (ii) Two top coats of anticorrosive paint (each 150 microns Dft) . (b) Machinery pipelines painting to be undertaken as per colour coding post surface preparation to ST 3 standard. (c) All equipment/ machinery to be painted as per existing paint scheme. (d) Painting of bulkheads, deck head of machinery compartments to be undertaken as per existing paint scheme post surface preparation to ST 3 standard. (e) Examine structures not covered by lagging, paying particular attention to position where water is likely to accumulate, longitudinal junctions with side plating and machinery bearers with bottom plating, horizontal surfaces such as tank tops, horizontal stiffeners and structure obscured by cable plating. (f) Portable fittings that obscure structure are to be removed for examination of structure behind. Paint to be restored as per existing paint scheme. Paints to be provided by Firm. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Lagging Replace damaged / perished lagging at various places including lagging removed for degutting works using pin method. Renew / restore paint scheme in hot work affected areas prior fitment of new lagging. Material - MWMB Grade Insulation Material, Thickness - 75 mm. Paint as per location. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Cathodic Protection Sacrificial Anodes - Replacement of all existing sacrificial anodes with indium free aluminium alloy sacrificial anodes fitted to underwater hull, inlets and outlets and sea chest iaw NCD 3908 issue 1, Aug 19. Sacrificial anodes to be procured from IHQ MoD(N) nominated firms only. Quality certificate to be provided for new anodes and anodes are to be offered for inspection to NSRY QC team prior fitment. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Steel Renewal- (a) Renew steel plates along with stiffeners at following locations: - (i) Underwater Hull (ii) Underwater compartments (iii) Fuel, Fresh Water, Ballast and Misc tanks (iv) Shipside and Superstructure (v) Masts and Funnel (vi) Foxle deck, Main deck, Poop deck, bridge deck, Bridge top deck and deck fittings (vii) Internal compartments. (b) Job also involves degutting and re-gutting works like lagging, deck covering, machinery equipment , paneling, system pipelines/ valves, electrical cables/ conduits/ junction boxes, foundations/ brackets and wooden fittings etc in way of steel renewal to be undertaken. (c) Paint scheme on renewed plates (including all affected aras and stiffeners) to be undertaken post surface preparation iaw NO 53/16. (d) Record section wise report of steel renewal and forward final report in 03 sets of hard copy and 01 set of soft copy to ship staff. Note:- Quote for Service and consumables. Payment on actuals.

Steel Renewal- Supply of Mild steel conforming to IS-2062 specifications of 2011 for steel renewal. Steel is to be procured through M/s SAIL or M/s ESSAR or M/s JIndal only and all relevant supply and material specifications certificates and test reports are to be submitted while delivering the item at NSRY (Kar). Steel details are as follows: Steel thikness 08 MM - 12 tons Steel thikness 10 MM - 02 tons Steel thikness 12 MM - 01 tons Quote for Service and material separately. Payment on actuals.

Repair & refitment of panelling including regutting of lagging, clamps and fasteners. Mat-SS. Material and Service to be provided by contractor

Fabrication & fitment of new panelling including regutting of lagging, clamps and fasteners. Mat-SS. Material and Service to be provided by contractor. Payment on actuals.

Anchor, Chain Cable and Cable Locker - (a) Remove and lay out Anchor, chain cables and accessories. Dismantle anchor, chain cables and accessories. Carry out surface preparation up to bare metal to WJ-2 standard for survey of anchor, chain cable along with accessories , naval pipe for survey . (Qty:- Anchor - 02 nos, cable dia-24mm, chain cable length-330 mtr, Swivel Piece - 02 nos, Lugless Joining shackles - 12 nos, Lugged Shackles - 02 nos). (b) Carry out surface preparation of cable locker (Area- 57 Sqm) to ST-3 standard and restore paint scheme of M/s Jotun iaw NO 53/16. (i) One coat of primer (Dft 50 microns) (ii) Two intermediate coat (Dft 150 microns each) (iii) One Top coat (Dft 50 microns) (c) Anchor cleaning sea water line to be repaired/ renewed and make functional. Repairs to be under taken as per Survey report of NSRY survey team. (d) Clean and grease all joining shackles. Strip and grease slip in cable locker. Re-arrange cable length to ensure equality of wear. Re-mark cable length. Overhauling hull associated fittings including deck rollers and renew as required. (e) Clean and grease trunion pin and housing. Grease to be used:- LG-280 .The machined surface of the joints of lugless joining shackles are to be examined for corrosion. All Anchor, chain cables and accessories are to be stripped, greased and re-assembled. (f) Painting of anchor, chain cables and accessories to be painted with two coats of Bituminous paint (Black) and restore onboard. Note- Quote for services and consumbales.

Anchor, Chain Cable and Cable Locker - Supply of anchor chain cables and accessories (dia 24 mm) in accordacne with survery report by survey team of NSRY (Kar). Following items to be supplied only if declared BER during survey. Qty:- (a) Chain shackles - 06 nos (b) Lugless Joining shackles - 06 nos (c) Lugged Shackles - 02 nos. Note- Item to be procured from Indian Navy approved supplier M/s Indian Chain Pvt Ltd, Kolkata alongwith relevant test certficates. Services for the same including use of any consumable etc are also to be provided by vendor.

Overhauling- Capstan (Mfd- Hemant Eng. Works) - Following work to be carried out:- (a) Overhauling of capstan along with motor assembly and changing of oil. Equipment to be proved for satisfactory operation. Undertake weather proofing of motor terminal box. (b) Replace all high speed bearings. (c) Blow out all motor windings thoroughly with clean dry air. (d) Clean and thereafter varnish dirty and oily windings. (e) Motor to be overhauled, with both bearings renewed & tested onboard on load (subject to QC checks). (f) Overhauling of brake mechanism to be carried out. (f) Inspect and overhaul the control panel and renew defective components and cabling. (g) System to be proved for designed operation and load trials to be offered. (h) Carry out surface preparation of foundation and structure by manual chipping/ buffing up to bare metal (ST 3). Clean and restore paint scheme post surface preparation. Material and Service to be provided by Contractor

Overhauling- Anchor Winlass (Mfd- Hemant Eng. Works) - Following work to be carried out:- (a) Overhauling of anchor windlass along with motor assembly, rollers associated with windlass and other accessories. Replacement of gear box oil to be carried out. Insulation checks of the motor to be undertaken. Undertake weather proofing of motor terminal box (IP67). (b) Replace all high speed bearings with new bearings (specification as per existing bearings) (c) Blow out all motor windings thoroughly with clean dry air. (d) Clean and varnish dirty and oily windings and replacement with new copper winding if defective. (e) Motor to be overhauled, both bearing to be replaced with new bearing post QC checks by NSRY QC team. (f) Overhaul brake mechanism. Replacement of defective components if required. Greasing of lubrication points to be undertaken (g) Overhaul the control panel, and replacement of defective components and cabling. (h) Replace all safety pins along with SS chain used for locking arrangement. (j) Carry out surface preparation of foundation and structure by hydrojet blasting to achieve WJ-2 standard for undertaking survey. Structural repairs/ renewal to be undertaken as per survey report of NSRY survey team. (k) Replacement of all fasteners on foundation to be undertaken. Replacement of all grease nipples to be undertaken and grease to be charged. (l) System to be proved for designed operation and load trials to be offered. Clean and restore paint scheme post surface preparation to WJ 2 standard and offered to NSRY QC prior painting. Reference:- OEM Manual Note:- Vendor to cater for all consumables, including POLs topup required for energising the equipment post repairs. Material and Service to be provided by Contractor.

Mushroom Heads Overhauling of entire mushroom heads alongwith quick shut off assembly to be carried out. Job involves opening of mushroom heads and replacement of wire mesh, rubber beading, fasteners, flaps etc. Replace spindle assembly with wheel, if defective. Chalk test to be carried out post repairs and proved in the presence of NSRY QC team. Structural repairs/ renewal to be carried out, if required. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Overhauling-Sewage Treatment Plant (Mfd - Hamworthy, England, Model-ST 3 A-C) - Undertake following :- (a) Carry out de-sludging of sewage tanks. Undertake surface preparation of tanks to ST-3 standard by mechanical cleaning. Paint scheme to be restored with- (i) Two coats of anticorrosive paint (Dft 150 microns each) of M/s Jotun. (b) Carry out functional checks of tank level switches. Replace defective component if required. (c) Dismantle and clean all system pipelines. Surface preparation and painting to be carried out as per existing paint scheme. Renew defective pipelines if required. Pressure testing of renewed lines to be carried out. (d) Dismantle all system valves and undertake overhauling of valves. Replace defective valves and valve components if required. (e) Carry out following on Macerator pump:- (i) Carry out overhauling of pump. Replace defective components. Replace drive end bearing and seals if required. (ii) Ensure impeller is free for rotation with no vibration. (iii) Ensure overload units are operating correctly. (f) Carry out overhauling of blower. Replace all defective components/ parts, if required. (g) Carry out overhauling of dosing pumps (02 nos). Replace all defective components if required. (h) Carry out replacement of aerator air diffuser elements. Replace all chemical solutions with requisite quantity, used for operation of STP. (j) Post repairs/ overhauling work, STP is to be proved for operation as per designed parameters. (k) Undertake Effluent test from NABL accredited lab and check compliance to MARPOL norms. (l) Sewage pollution prevention certificate valid for duration of five years from a state authorised accredited agencies as specified in MEPC 115(51) and 227(64) as per annex iv of MARPOL 73/78. (m) Carry out calibration of fixed H2S sensor. Certificate of calibration to be obtained from the OEM. Date of calibration and next due date should be clearly indicated on the certificate. Ventilation Trunking - (a) Mechanical cleaning of Ventilation trunkings to be undertaken. Replace with new all perished / damaged trunkings as fitted onboard including wire mesh / louvers, rubber beadings, gaskets, fasteners, ventilation flaps and earthing strips on upper deck and mess. Paint to be restored post repairs as per existing paint scheme. (Job involves removal and re-fitment of all light fittings, pipe lines, valves, electrical cables, junction boxes, lagging, panelling, obstructions, protrusions, foundation etc as required). (b) All wire mesh of different sizes to be replaced (approx. - 20 nos). Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Grease filters inside exhaust trunking are initial fit in galleys and are to be replaced, Qty- 02. Material SS and wire mesh. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Airvent Pipe (Goose neck)- (a) Carry out replacement of wiremesh, fasteners and rubber beading of flaps. Qty-22 nos. (b) Undertake structural repairs/ renewal , if required. (c) Chalk testing to be proved post completion of repair work. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

Life raft - (a) Replace Hydrostatic Release Gears by NABL accredited agency. (Qty 02) Quote for material. (b) Life raft stowing brackets (Qty 02) along with life raft securing straps, slips, hooks and shackles to be renewed. Quote for services and material.

Ladders - Carry out mechanical surface preparation of all ladders up to bare metal. Repairs to be under taken as per hull survey report of ladders with associated footsteps and handrails. Paint to be restored as per existing paint scheme. Material/spares/consumables etc and Service to be provided by contractor

Overhauling- Single Arm Boat Davit (Mfd - Aquarius Fiberglass Pvt. Ltd): - (a) Overhauling of boat davit, manual release hook, gear box along with motor assembly to be carried out. Insulation checks of the motor to be undertaken. Undertake weather proofing of motor terminal box(IP67). During trials motor parameters are to recorded and same to be cleared by NSRY QC. (b) Renewal of boat fall and release mechanism wire rope along with end fittings , securing arrangement, hooking arrangement and other associated lifting gears to be undertaken. (c) Operation of manual hand release mechanism to be proved. (d) Replacement of gear box oil to be carried out. (e) Replacement of all limit switches to be carried out with specifications as existing and proving of limit switch operation to be undertaken. (f) Replacement of all grease nipples and grease to be charged. (g) Carry out surface preparation of foundation and structure by hydrojet blasting to achieve WJ-2 standards for undertaking survey. Structural repairs/ renewal to be undertaken as per survey report of NSRY QC team. Clean and restore paint post surface preparation and inspection to be offered to NSRY QC. (h) Load test to be carried out post completion of repairs and equipment should withstand load trials. (SWL 01T, Running load 1.5T and statIc load 2T). Defects observed during load testing to be liquidated. (j) System to be proved for designed operation and load trials to be cleared. Load test certificate to be provided post successful completion of load testing. Overhauling Rescue Boat - Operationalise rescue boat. Carry out following:- (a) Repair of GRP hull structure and serviceability checks of boat to be carried out. (b) Renew all rubbing strips, hand hold , life lines, grab handles and reflective tape. (c) Carry out overhauling/ serviceability checks of hook mechanism. Replace defective components, if required. (d) OBM Engine is to be completely overhauled (e) Boat chocks to be repaired and cushion to be replaced. Renewal of all seating arrangements of boat. (f) Boat securing strap (gripes) to be renewed along with end fittings. Mat - polyester. (g) 02 in nos oars and 01 no. boat hook for rescue boat damaged / broken. To be replaced. (h) Replace polyester webbing boat sling for lowering and hoisting purpose. SWL 3.5 ton. Load test certificate to be provided. (j) Painting of boat to be carried out as per existing scheme post repairs (k) Trials to be carried out alongwith weighing of boat with accessories post repairs and proved for satisfactory performance. Test certificate to be provided. All types of Materials/ spares/ consumables/ accessories etc and Services are to be provided by Contractor

Overhauling - Sanitary System - Operationlise complete sanitary system. (a) Strip, clean and overhaul WC and urinal flushing valves, reducing valves and reducer (Qty 08). (b) Strip and clean sanitary system drain pipes. Re-galvanize where required (Length - 50 m). (c) Following accessories in the WC and bathroom to be replaced:- (i) Hand Shower - 04, (ii) Wash basin tap - 04, (iii) Commode seat cover - 03, (iv) Commode flush knobs - 04, (v) Wash Basin drain pipe - 06 (vi) Shower curtains - 05 (vii) Tiling work - 30 Sqm. Material/spares/consumables etc and Service to be provided by Contractor. All the items used are of high quality (minimum ISI or equivalent standard) and items are to be approved by RMT proir fitment

Overhauling- Domestic Fresh Water System - (a) Strip, clean and overhaul domestic fresh water system valves. Stop cock (qty 08), basin beep cock (pillar) (qty 04), sink beep cock (pillar) (qty 01). Material - Brass (chrome plated). (b) Strip and clean domestic fresh water system pipes and deck drains. Re-galvanize where required (Length - 40 m). Repairs/ renewal of pipe line to be carried out, if required. Material/spares/consumables etc and Service to be provided by Contractor. All the items to be used are of high quality (minimum ISI or equivalent standard) and items are to be approved by RMT prior fitment

WT Doors -Following work to be undertaken:- (i) Carry out surface preparation of door structure to ST 3 standard by manual chipping/ buffing up . (ii) Overhauling of clips and hinges to be caried out. Replacement of defective clips, hinges and associated fittings . Examine washers, sealing rings and rubber sealing. Replace all worn out parts of doors. Replace rubber beading with high performance silicone rubber beading iaw NCD 5910 issue 1, Feb 18. (iii) Carry out chalk test of all W/T doors post completion of work and to be proved in presence of NSRY QC team. (iv) Paint to be restored as per existing navy approved paint scheme of M/s Jotun iaw NO 53/16. Material (including all spares and consumables) and Service to be provided by contractor.

NWT Doors - Following work to be undertaken:- (i) Repair/ replacement of defective door hinges, deformed structure (including replacement of door locking mechanism with spares, hinges, handles, stoppers, latches, locking arrangement hydraulic door closing mechanism and beading. (ii) Replacement of sunmica/ CRCA (white colour) to be undertaken on all NWT doors. (iii) Renew hydraulic doors closer for NWT doors. Curtain to be provided made of fire retardant cloth. Qty -08 (Size 7X3 feet each) . Payment on actuals. Material and Service to be provided by contractor.

WT Hatch and Manhole - (a) WT Hatch (16 nos) -(i) Carry out surface preparation of foundation and structure by manual chipping/ buffing up to bare metal (ST 3). (ii) Repairs and overhauling of hatch clips, hinges assembly and locking mechanism. Rectify structural defects if required. Replace defective parts/ components, if required. (iii) Carry out replacement of existing rubber beading with High performance silicone rubber beading iaw NCD 5910 issue 1, Feb 18. Chalk test to be undertaken post repairs and proved in presence of NSRY/ QC team. (Qty -16) (b) Manholes- Renewal of rubber gaskets and fastners of manholes. (Qty - 28 nos). Material and Service to be provided by contractor

Scuttles & Windows - Repair hinge fittings, toughened glass and glass rails for looseness and sign of wear / damage. Renew worn out or damaged parts and rubber beadings. Chalk testing to be carried out post repairs. Curtain to be provided made by fire retardant cloth. Scuttles- 07 nos , Windows- 18 nos, toughned glass(04). Payment on actuals. Material and Service to be provided by contractor

Guardrails and Stanchions - (a) Replace guardrail stanchions and securing foundations. Paint scheme of the stanchions to be restored as per paint scheme. Length - 60 Rmtr (b) Safety chain for guardrail damaged/ broken along with bottle screw (Mat -SS). To be replaCed. Mat - SS, Dia - 10 mm, Length - 30 mtr, Bottle screw - 30. Material and Service to be provided by contractor. Payment on actuals

Towing Hook with quick release mechanism - (a) Carry out overhauling and repairs of towing hook assembly (Qty - 02 nos). Job involves renewal of release line and other associated accessories. (b) Carry out serviceability checks of pneumatic cylinder , air line, solenoid and push button mechanism and Replace all defective components, if required. (c) Operation of towing hook to be proved for satisfactory performance post repairs. Material and service to be provided by contractor

Paint Scheme Renewal Water Ballast Tank, Fresh Water Tank, Void Space and Cofferdam- Carry out complete surface preparation to SA 2.5 standard by using abrasive blasting. All Structural repairs/ renewal to be carried out as per hull survey report of NSRY survey team. Thereafter, complete Paint Scheme to be restored as per Navy approved paint scheme of M/s Jotun iaw NO 53/16 for the following tanks:- (a) Ballast Tanks (10 nos) - 3020 SqM (b) Fresh Water Tanks (03 nos) - 218 SqM (c) Void Space (02 nos)- 210 SqM (d) Cofferdam (02 nos)- 190 SqM Note:- Paint to be supplied by contractor.
