| 1.01 | Repair to external grooves/bands to arrest water seepage by repairing grooves of thickness as required at site in patches on the outer face of the building, including cutting the damaged groove in regular shape, removing loose and defective plaster, raking out joints wherever required, cleaning the surface thoroughly, applying cement slurry, and re-plastering with cement mortar in the required thickness using 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand), complete in all respects. The item shall include the addition of an integral waterproofing compound (Sika/Fosroc/Mapei or equivalent approved make) in the cement mortar as per the manufacturer's recommendations, proper curing, finishing the repaired surface to match the existing profile, labour, tools & plants, disposal of unserviceable material/debris to the approved dumping ground, and all incidental works complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Scaffolding shall be measured and paid separately under the relevant BOQ item.The contractor shall ensure that the repaired grooves are completely watertight. After completion of the work, the repaired area shall be tested by conducting a falling water/fire water hose test or any other method as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge to verify the effectiveness of the repair. If any leakage, dampness, or water seepage is observed during the testing or at any time during the Defect Liability Period (DLP), the contractor shall rectify the defects at his own cost, including removal and re-execution of the defective work, without any additional payment, to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. | 250 | Sqm | - | - |
| 1.02 | Providing and applying textured exterior paint of approved shade and texture (Asian Paints, Dulux, Birla White ) on the entire external face of the building, including the repaired grooves/bands, to achieve a uniform colour, texture and finish. The work shall include thorough surface preparation by removing all loose, flaking, peeling and unsound paint/plaster, dust, dirt, algae and other foreign materials by scraping, wire brushing, cleaning and preparing the surface as required, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The item shall include applying one coat of exterior-grade white cement/acrylic wall putty (Asian Paints, Birla White, JK Wall Putty) over the repaired groove areas and wherever required to obtain a smooth and even surface, followed by rubbing with emery paper, application of exterior primer wherever recommended by the manufacturer, and applying two or more coats of textured exterior paint over the entire external face of the building after laying the terxture on surafce as per same exsiting texture, including the repaired or damaged areas, strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, to produce a uniform appearance without any visible shade variation, patch marks or texture differences. The rate shall include the cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants, surface preparation, putty, primer (where required), textured exterior paint, masking, protection of adjoining surfaces, cleaning of the work area, disposal of all debris and unserviceable material to the approved dumping ground, and all other incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion of the work. No separate payment shall be made for scaffolding. The contractor shall utilize the scaffolding already erected for groove repair work, or alternatively use a suitable suspended platform (Jhulla) or any other approved access arrangement at his own cost. The quoted rate shall be deemed to include all costs towards access arrangements, and no extra payment on this account shall be admissible.The completed work shall be free from cracks, peeling, blistering, pinholes, shade variation, lap marks and visible repair patches, and shall match the approved texture and finish of the surrounding surface to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. | 1.03 | Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. andmaintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge.
