The Registrar, IITE invites bids for the food arrangement from the bidders
having Experience for similar type of works, the qualifying criteria specified.
1. The e-tender can be downloaded from the website www.nprocure.com

The terms and conditions for the contract
1.0 “IITE” shall mean the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (An
established by A Govt. of Gujarat) Sector-15, Near Mahtma Mandir
1.1 “Vice Chancellor”, means the Vice Chancellor of Indian Institute of
Teacher Education or his authorized representative.
1.2 “Registrar” means the Registrar of Indian Institute of Teacher
Education or his authorized representative.
1.3 “Contract” means and includes the documents forming the tender and
acceptance thereof together with the documents referred to therein
including the conditions.
1.4 “Caterer” shall mean the service provider for catering services and
shall include the legal representative of such individual or the persons or
the permitted assignee of the same.
1.5 “Competent Authority” means Vice-Chancellor of IITE and his

“Competent Authority.” as the case may be, who shall supervise and be in-
charge of such works.
1.7 “Care Taking Section” shall mean the Administration Division of IITE.
2.0 INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERER FOR PROVIDING
CATERING SERVICES
2.1 The caterer should have an experience of at least three years out
of the last five years of providing catering services for programmes
organized by Central Govt. Dept/State Government Dept. Institutions /
PSUs or any other organization of repute.
2.2 All prospective bidders may submit their Technical Bid, and also the
Tender fee & EMD in separate sealed envelopes in the performa attached
withthe tender document but tagged together, addressed to The Centre of
Research, Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Ramkrushna Paramhans
Vidya Sankul, Near Mahatma Mandir, KH road, Sector-15,Gandhinagar-
2.3 The caterer should have buffet related items, tables with table cloth,
tandoor, refrigerator, Owen, crockery and cutlery to serve not less than
persons at a time.
2.4 The caterer should have proper in-house arrangements to provide
meals as per the requirement.
2.5 Date of issue of DD for tender cost & EMD should not be before
the date of publishing of tender notice. Tenders received without
relevant documents for meeting eligibility requirements shall not be

2.11 After opening the technical bid, a committee of officers of IITE may
visit the establishment of caterers which qualify technically, to check the
facilities provided by each one.
2.12 On the basis of the report of the committee, agency list is final with
the approval of authority.
3.0 INSTRUCTIONS RELATING TO CATERING
3.1 The caterer shall have to make the arrangement of catering and shall
not be paid separately for the following items:-
i. Lunch shall be served in buffet system generally. However inspecial cases
may be required to be served inside the meeting hall on table service
without any additional cost.
ii. Tables with table cloth and other utensils for serving and crockery
shall be provided by the caterer without any additional charges.
iii. The caterer shall provide sufficient number of waiters in proper
uniform to serve to guests.
iv. Drinking water (only mineral water) and tissue paper / napkins shall
be provided by the caterer without any additional cost.
3.2 The quality of the meal shall be of high class. It should not cause any
healthproblem to the guests.
3.3 Electricity supply and running tap water at the venue of the
programme shall be provided by IITE free of charge for running the
equipment’s to store the cookeditems.
3.4 Food and other waste which is generated during the programme
agency shall have to dispose safely at his own cost outside of the campus.
3.5 No single use plastic should be used.
4.0 TERMS OF PAYMENT:-
The bills raised by the caterer shall clearly mention the billing components
(standard menu plus additional items per person) plus taxes etc. The bill
should be accompanied with the signatures of the officer in-charge of the
program and booking order duly issued by authorized signatory from the
concern Division.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BIDDERS: -
In order to become eligible, the caterers should have the following
qualifications:-
a. Registration of ownership
b. Registration for GST
c. Registration with Safety & valid Food License by Dept. of Food
and Safety Govt. of Gujarat.
d. Valid certificate of FSSI
e. Experience certificate of providing catering services for at least three years
immediately out of the last five years, for catering in programmes
organized by a Central Govt. Department/State Government, institution/
PSU or any other organization of repute in India.
f. Attested copy of power of attorney, if any for signing the bid
g. Litigation / Arbitration history.
h. An undertaking for truth-fullness of information furnished.
5.0 PENALTY CLAUSE
5.1 Work not done satisfactorily would be recorded and rejected for
payment. Reasons for rejection would also be recorded.
5.2 Penalty shall be up to Rs.5000 to Rs.25000 as per the
recommendation of committee, per fault/unsatisfactory work.
5.3 The cost of execution of the work at the risk and cost as well as the
penalty shall be recovered in the bill that falls due and if the
amount of recovery exceeds the bill amount, recoveries shall be
made from the Security Deposit, which has to be made good within
15 days of the short fall.
7.4. In case of food adulteration, any liabilities and expenses towards
hospitalization or treatment shall be borne by contractor and shall
have to pay the penalty shall be fixed by the authority concerned.
