Excavation in trenches in soft/ loose soil not exceeding 1.50 metre wide and not exceeding 1.50 metre deep for foundations etc. or for cesspits etc. and not exc. 10 Sq. m on plan and not exc. 1.50 metre in depth and getting out complete, all as specified.

Returning, filling in, of soft/ loose soil, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick each complete, all as specified.

Removing excavated materials exceeding 250m not exceeding 500m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point in soils, complete all as specified.

Demolition and breaking up drain pipes (salt grazed stone ware, AC or reinforced concrete) set in cement mortar, internal dia of pipe 150 mm, including removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Concrete bed to drain pipe with PCC (1:4:8), type D-2, using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates, including packing under and haunching against the sides for SGSW pipe of bore 150 mm, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Salt glazed stone ware drain pipes Grade ‘A’ of 150 mm internal dia, laid and jointed with cement joint and tested, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Cutting into existing manholes for connecting new drains, pipe of size 150 mm dia pipe making good to pipe and rendering, cutting out existing benching for and forming branch channel (1/2 round or 3/4 section) in cement concrete (1:2:4), type B-1, smooth finished and reforming benching as required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Cleaning of underground sewage lines upto 150 mm bore including manhole, any depth, taking off & refixing of manhole covers, getting out all foreign matter such as solid/ liquid/ mud etc. and removing the same outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Removing blockage from water closet (Indian or European type), urinals, WHBs, sinks, floor/ nahni trap, including getting out solid/ liquid/ foreign matter/ mud deposited there and removing the same in a hygienic manner outside MoD land to make the sewage waste/ sludge waste flow free up to first manhole, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

First quality, Non skid ceramic joint free coloured tiles, 7 to 8 mm thick (square/ rectangular) area of each tile exceeding 0.11 Sqm but not exceeding 0.18 Sq.m, laid in floors with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg/Square Metre over and including 15 mm thick screed bed of cement mortar (1:4) including pointing in white cement with pigment to match the shade of tiles, complete all as specified.

First quality, glazed ceramic coloured tiles, fixed in pattern of different colour tiles including border of dark shade tiles, 6-7 mm thick of size 200 mm x 300 mm, in skirting, dado with set and jointed in neat cement slurry, over and including 10 mm thick rendering of cement mortar (1:3), including pointing in white cement with pigment to match the shade of tiles, complete all as specified.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description in any position , complete all as specified.

Reinforced cement concrete (1:2:4), type B-1, using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates, as in precast manhole/ drain covers, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in -Charge.

Mild steel TMT bars 10 mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending etc., and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips, complete all as specified.

75 mm thick, plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-2, using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates, laid in 1:20 slope as in plinth protection including making joints at 3.00 metre intervals and at each corner, the joint shall be filled with mastic filling (to full depth) comprising of one part heated hot blown bitumen 85/ 25 & two parts heated sand (by volume), surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified. Note: The concrete shall be laid at a stretch not exceeding 3 metre in length and width of joint shall not be more than 12 mm.

75mm thick plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in floors/hard standing, etc, laid in approved size panels, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, joints filled with mastic mortar, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, factory made, precast concrete, machine pressed, interlocking paver block any shape and size confirming to IS : 15658-2006 of 60mm thickness, M-35 Grade, with grey cement and pigment (in top layer), coloured, laid over and including 25mm thick fine sand cushioning and joints filled with fine sand, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Rate includes supply and spreading of sand.

Material and labour, coloured glosey finished, rubber moulded chequered cement concrete tiles 400 mm x 400 mm x 25 mm thick, factory made, ISI marked (IS 13801-1993), laid with neat cement slurry @ 3Kg/Sqm over & including 20mm thick screed bed of cement mortar (1:6), pointed in white cement with matching colour pigment, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down hanging mild steel gate not exceeding 1.50 Sq.m each and refixing in the same opening after carrying out necessary repair work with welding such as change of rusted hold fast, hinging device, pintol, pivotel and locking arrangement, PCC of hold fast etc. complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Note against Sl Item No 8 to 13 : The contractor's representatives will report daily on working days at the MES complaint cell at Sector 47 Chandigarh to collect the sewage blockage complaints and petty repairs compliants from MES supervisory staff. Sewage blockage and minor complints shall be rectified on same day and completion report after rectification will be submitted duly signed by the occupant upto 1700 hrs at the MES complaint cell. In case he fails to clear the sewage blockage within 08 hours, a penalty of Rs 50/- per day complaint shall be imposed on contractor and shall be recovered form his dues till teh sewage blockage is cleared. the same penalty will be imposed in case the contractor or his representaive fails to report in complaint cell in the morning, in addition to the pending complaints of that day.
