Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth not exceeding 50mm deep and area not exceeding 400sqm complete all as specified. all as specified and directed.

Water bound macaadam 75mm thick (Compacted thickness), laid with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63mm to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size),using Granite, trap or Basalt of best quality locally available spread and rolled with 10 to 12 tonnes power roller, consolidated to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Providing premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with 4% binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% bitumen binder content by weight of total mix using as per table 500-15 of Morth, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne vibrator power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in automatic temperature controlled hot mixing plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. (ii) Quoted rate includes for removing old road furniture before blacktopping anf refixing the same.

Preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
