8364 COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF EOT CRANES INCLUDING LOAD TESTING AND REPAIRS / REPLACEMENT OF WORN OUT PARTS OF EOT / HOT CRANES AT DRDL, INS KALINGA UNDER AGE (I) RnD NSTL, VISAKHAPATNAM.

M&L for Comprehensive maintenance consisting of normal repairs and preventive maintenance of the following electrically operated overhead travelling (EOT) cranes floor operated in various buildings under AGE (I) R&D NSTL by engaging following manpower complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge: a) Capacity 25 Ton in VIB II Building [Flame proof type] – 02 Nos b) Capacity 10 Ton in VIB I Building – 01 No c) Capacity 15 Ton in VIB I Building – 01 No d) Capacity 15 Ton in MPPTF Building [Flame proof type] – 02 Nos e) Capacity 05 Ton in BSF Building [Flame proof type] – 01 No f) Capacity up to 10 Ton in MSB Building [Flame proof type] – 02 Nos . g) Capacity up to 30 Ton in ASH - I Building [Flame proof type]- 01 No Manpower:The contractor has to employ minimum one experienced semi skilled crane technician and one unskilled helper in general shift of 08 Hrs to carry out the regular maintenance for smooth and effective functioning of Cranes including Sunday and Holidays and the cost deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

Notes:- (i) Any complaints regarding breakdown will be attended with in 24 hours failing which an amount of double the minimum wage per day for semiskilled / unskilled. (ii) Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintenance for EOT cranes under monthly maintenance. (iii) Necessary tools kits & plants like ladder,lube oil containers,cotton waste,transportation etc., required to attend the break down if any, shall be provided by the contractor and the cost is deemed to include in the unit rate quoted. (iv) The contractor should submit the identity proof of Technician/Person visiting the site and also responsible for the integrity of the personnel attending the break down and monthly visits.

Carrying out Load testing of EOT cranes of Capacity 5 Ton in BSF building to prove the satisfactory operation of electrical controls, motors, gear boxes, protective devices, electro-mechanical interlocking system, wire rope, sectional weld joints, brake thrusters, Limit switches, buffers, hook, girder rails, pulleys, pinion wheels, push button station and miscellaneous items etc. including forward and back ward motions of Long travel, Cross travel & Hoist (up & down) in high speed and creep speed during full load and testing of crane in over load at 110% and deflection test all as per IS: 3177 of 1977 through M/s Lloyds Register of Shipping or any accredited agency as approved by AGE (I), duly certified including all consumables complete all as specified. [Note: Necessary dead weight loads, Hydraulic mobile crane at site to carry out the load test shall be arranged by contractor and the rate quoted shall be inclusive of the same].

Supply only steel wire rope of suitable size/ dia of construction to match with the existing suitable for EOT cranes of 5/ 10/ 15/ 25 / 30 Ton capacity complete all as directed. [Make: Usha Martin]

Supply only less weight 15 way pendent push button station with all push buttons and push button contacts complete set housed in box with powder coated paint or PVC suitable of 5 Ton to 30 Ton EOT Crane complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. [Make: Schneider/ Speed-O-Controls/ Siemens].

Supply only trailing cables of size 3 or 4 core 1.5 sq.mm (elastomeric rubber cables) Annealed tinned flexible Copper Conductor, EPR insulated, cores laid up with fillers (wherever necessary) and binder taped, PCP outer sheathed cable of 1100 volts conforming to IS: 9968 (Pt-1) 1988 & (P-2) all as specified and as directed. [Make: Orbit/ Uniflex/ Polycab/ Fine Cab/ Finolex]

All as per Item No. 8 herein before but of size 3 or 4 core x 2.5sq.mm

M&L for overhauling the gear box/ VVVF drive by opening the Long Travel/ Cross Travel/ Main Hoist gear boxes of EOT crane of capacity up to 30 ton including draining out/ flushing out old gear oil, replacement of worn out gear wheels/ shafts, bearings, oil seals, bush, gland packing, gear couplings, necessary miscellaneous items etc. and refixing the gear box by cleaning thoroughly inside gear box including re-assembling the gear box unit, fixing back to the system, alignment, testing & commissioning all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Supply only Gear wheel/ shaft, bearings & gear oil shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this BOQ. Cost of all the other minor spares require replacement shall be included in the rate quoted

Supply only long lever type 2 way limit switches suitable for CT & LT operation of EOT cranes of capacity up to 30 Ton complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. [Make: Siemens/ Speed-O-Controls/ EMM].

Supply only relay base up to 25 Amps with fixing and terminal screws for EOT cranes of capacity up to 30 Ton complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. [Make: Siemens/ GE/ Legrand/ C&S/ L&T]

M&L for dismantling & taking down LT / CT Wheel from Flame proof EOT cranes of capacity up to 30 Ton, greasing, overhauling including replacing bearings as per existing size and make all as directed by Engineer-in-charge Note: Supply only bearings shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this BOQ. Cost of all the other minor spares require replacement shall be included in the rate quoted

Disconnecting and Removing unserviceable induction motor of capacity 7.5/15 HP from EOT Crane and transporting to work shop and re-winding the same with super enameled copper conductor of existing gauge, size, turns including varnishing, class-B insulation etc., and refixing the same in location, position, alignment, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Disconnecting and Removing unserviceable induction motor of capacity 25 HP from EOT Crane and transporting to work shop and re-winding the same with super enameled copper conductor of existing gauge, size, turns including varnishing, class-B insulation etc., and refixing the same in location, position, alignment, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Disconnecting and Removing unserviceable induction motor of capacity 0.5/1/1.5 HP from EOT Crane and transporting to work shop and re-winding the same with super enameled copper conductor of existing gauge, size, turns including varnishing, class-B insulation etc., and refixing the same in location, position, alignment, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply, fixing, testing and commissioning of VVVF drive with required resistance, power and control cables, cable lugs for fixing of drive suitable for CT and LT work on Main Hoist Operation for 5 tonne to 10 tonne capacity EOT cranes complete by removing the old defective drive all as specified and directed. Make:Yaskawa/Thosiba/Simens/ABB/L&T.

Supply only Stablized power supply electronic cards of suppy input 240/220V 50Hz and oup put of 24Volts DC suppy of current rating upto 6 Amps heavy duty continious rated capacity for controll supply to cranes complete all as specified and directed by the Eng-in-charge.

Replacement of Brake shoe linears (6/8mm thick) made of treated fabric linning and secured with aluminium rivets complete suitable for EHT/EMDC brake of 150 to 300mm drum size including revetting to brake shoe all as directed.

Removing of unserviceable brake coil of thruster brakes in LT/CT motion, Main/Auxilary Hoist including opening of the burnt winding by cutting down and rewinding with existing size of super enamelled copper conductor and applying insulating varnish, drying the coil only in original position up to size of 200mm and 8.5 KG complete of capacity upto 30 ton and testing as directed by the Eng-in-Charge

Disconnecting and taking down electro-magnetic thruster/ Hydraulic Brake unit from the crane, shifting to work shop, dismantling all parts, replacement of unserviceable parts like bearings, Brake coil, thruster oil, re-assembling, shifting to existing location and fixing in same position for EOT crane up to 30 Ton capacity complete testing the system all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Supply only bearings, brake coil & oil shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this BOQ. Cost of all the other minor spares require replacement shall be included in the rate quoted

Supply only main hoist hydraulic brake thruster unit suitable for EOT crane of capacity 5Ton to 30 Ton complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for dismantling & taking down existing unserviceable GI 'C’ track trailing cable system and S&F new system consisting of GI 'C’ track, track joints with 4 Nos 5mm locking bolts including drilling & tapping work, fixing clamps with GI bolts 75 mm long, nuts & washers, 4 Nos GI bearings fixed type cable holding and moving trolleys as required, end stoppers, trolley with cable clamps, PVC cable tie 250 mm long as per required quantity complete set suitable for 10/15 Ton EOT Crane of approx span 14m `C’ Track trailing cable DSL system and Cross Travel Pendent push button independent moving arrangements all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
