Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches, leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, and backfilling with approved aterial complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge I. In all sorts of soil excluding marshy soil & rocks(soft or hard) by manual means. a) upto 3 m depth (i) Without pumping out water and shoring

Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Earthwork in excavation in all kinds of soil for making embankments, repairs to the embankment, closing breaches etc. as per profile including supply and transporting the arth by truck or tractor or any other mechanical means on land , including loading, transporting, unloading and stacking with all lifts bothways and head load where necessary and depositing the same on embankments, clannels, filling depressions in requisite profile, levelling as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge within a lead of, E) Beyond 4.00 km and upto 5.00 km NB :- i) Measurement to be taken on the basis of stack measurement / prepost work section measurement after deduction of void as per norms. No extra payment will be made for stacking. ii)For compensation for earth for land owned and arranged by Contractor add Rs.25.00 per m³ extra over rate of E/W for land owned / arranged by the Department.Royalty charge on earth @ Rs.29.00 per m³ & Cesses charges @ Rs. 5.30 per m3 (i.e.,Rs 15.00 per 100cft),as per Govt. notification, which will be paid on production of necessary documents in support of payment made towards the royalties & Cesses.
Earthwork from borrow pits over existing embankment or for repairs to embankment, closing breaches etc. within an initial lead of 30 metre and lift of 1.50 metre including breaking clods and depositing the same in layers not exceeding 25 cm. and rough dressing etc. complete as per profile.
Bailing or pumping out water from foundation trenches This item should be executed on the specific direction of the Engineer-in-charges when he is satisfied in his absolute discretion, that this has not been necessitated due to any fault on the part of the contractor (Payment, if permitted, will be made on the quantity of water calculated on the basis of initial and final water calculated on the basis of initial and final water level measured before starting and completion of each days work which necessitates a bailing / pumping of water from the trench. The final level of water to be measured, will depend on the level at which the day's work will be taken up. The rate includes any seepage water that may percolate in the trench during pumping)
Supplying Nylon cage netting 1 metre x 1 metre x 1 metre size with knot having mesh size 17.5 cm x 17.5 cm constructed with nylon thread (210 x 24) having tensile strength not less than 250 Kg. / sq. cm. including carriage, delivery and stacking at site inclusive of all taxes complete
Labour charges for dumping and placing in position properly filled in Nylon crates with filled in gunny / poly cement bags (minimum 25 nos. having capacity 50 kg) with local earth or sand, sewing and tying the crate with nylon wire within a lead of 150 m. and all lifts in river slope or bed by cutting trenches upto 50 cms depth, if necessary, or by boat including cost of hire charges of boat, boatmen and other necessary equipments and also including cost of bags, carriage and charge of filling bags with earth / sand but excluding cost of nylon crate as per direction of the Engineer – in – Charge. NB:- Volume of each earth/ sand filled bags should not be less than 0.028 m3. Size of Nylon crate is 1metre X 1metre X 1metre. (a) Where boats are not necessary.
Supplying to site empty cement polythene bags (capacity 50kg) in good condition including stacking, incedental charges etc. all complete (capacity 50 kg).
Labour charges for filling empty cement gunny bag / polythene bag (capacity 50 kg) with all kinds of earth (wet or dry), sand or agreegates(stone / brick) and sewing as done in case of cement bags ,(tying with a knot after filling will not be accepted ) , and stacking within a lead of 30 metre as per direction of Engr-in-charge (cost is excluding the cost of any types of filling materials). NB:- Volume of earth/ sand filled bags should not be less than 0.028 cum/ bag.

Taking out bullah wailing pieces after removing nuts, bolts and iron nails and stacking the same within 150 metre from the site of work including sorting out and stacking serviceable meterials.
Removing earth/sand filled poly bags/gunny bags from the channel bed/slope and initially depositing the same near channel bank at a place as directed by the Engineer-in Charge for measurement of Bag. & then disposing off the same at a distance not less than 150 metre from the channel site.
Supplying fitting and fixing R.C. guard post 1.37m long with C.C. 1:2:4 with graded stone chips of 13.2mm down casting , curing complete including cost of providing 4nos.of 12mm dia. rod of length 1.54m as main reinforcement and 6 nos. of round shaped 8mm dia rods used as binders; the placing of the first binder should be at 75mm below the top finished surface and the other 5 nos of binders should be placed at 245mm c/c ; the guard post is of octagonal section with inscribed circle of dia 24cm at the base tapering to corresponding dimensions of 16cm at the top including two coats of painting with best quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and grade to form 6 nos. horizontal alternate bands in white/tannery yellow and black to 90 cm length standing up above ground after mendinggood damages if any during striking off shuttering, making hole in ground of 47cm depth and 30cm. minimum dia, fixing the guard posts in the same holes and repacking the earth properly so as to keep the guard posts standing properly erect in correct position true to line and length including carriage of R. C. Guard Post with due care to the site including loading into the truck and unloading at site complete in all respect. With Pakur variety stone chips

Cast-in-situ cement concrete blocks or lining units as per designed section and specification, in nominal mix proportion 1:1.5:3 (corresponding to M20 Grade) with well graded 20 mm down stone metal aggregate, laid in position by casting in alternative panels or otherwise to keep a gap of 12 mm between the adjacent units, over a layer of polythene sheet of thickness not less than 100 µm to act as a separator between the bottom surface of the block and the sand cushion / filter material laid below the blocks, including dressing, ramming, shuttering, finishing the exposed surface by trowel without adding any additional cement and sand mortar, curing and filling the gaps between the adjacent units by 5.6 mm down coarse aggregate to be compacted properly, with all leads and lifts including supply and carriage of all materials, complete, without the cost of sand cushion / filter. with Stone aggregates of Pakur varieties. Note: Provisions of the latest Departmental Manual for Lining in Irrigation Canals are to be followed, wherever applicable.
Mobilization charges of all tools & plants alongwith accessories, materials, labour, supervision etc. at site of work required in connection with boring & testing work including setting up boring rig and shifting to different bore hole points etc. & also including withdrawal of the same from the site after completion of the work, complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (Payment will be made after successful completion of work).
