SUPPLY OF POTABLE WATER THROUGH WATER BOUZERS TO SUMPS OF WAER SUPPLY INSTALLATIONS IN MAIN PUMP HOUSE AT NPOL KOCHI

Amount

Supply of potable water into the existing sumps at Main Pump House at NPOL Kakkanad all as specified and directed.

Supply and fill potable water into the over head service tanks of buildings at technical area, Sagar Residential Area, and Varuna Residential area at NPOL, Kakkanad, completeal as directed.

Note for Item Nos. 1 & 2 only :- (a) Contractor shall supply water in hygenically neat and clean water bouzer and shall be free from dust, dirt, scales and other impurities. (b) Quality of water shall be tested (routine test) and test certificate to prove the potability of water issued by a Govt approved laboratory shall be produced by the contractor for each day. The water shall be tested for essential characteristics, Bacteriological Examination for routine test as laid down in IS : 10500-1991 and confirm to the requirements. It will be measured and paid under item No. 3 separately. (c ) A sample of water shall be taken jointly by the representative of Engineer-in-Charge and contractor from source of supply for testing for all parameters mentioned in IS-10500-1991 (essential and desirable characteristics, Bacteriological, Virological and Biological Examination) at a Govt approved lab and the report shall be produced by the contractor before commencing the supply under this contract. Periodical testing of water shall be carried for all the parameters as per IS at the interval of 45 days and confirm to the requirements. Rate quoted for item No. 1 & 2 is deemed to include these tests. (d) In case the contractor supplies 20000 ltrs bouzer, payment will be made at the double the rate quoted for item No 1 of BOQ and if water bouzer of 30000 litres is brought by the contractor the same shall be measured as three units of 10000 litres as per item No 1. The quantity shall be verified/ certified by Engineer-in-Charge and User's representatives (e) Contractor shall collect water from the sources, which shall have the prior approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. (f) The contractor shall supply water in any buildings of NPOL complex (both residential & technical areas) as ordered by Engineer-in-Charge. Adequate man power for the same shall be provided by the contractor. The same shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted against item No. 2.

Note for Item Nos. 1 & 2 only (Contd….) (g) Within 10 days from Acceptance of tender, Contractor shall produce minimum 2 locations for source of supply of potable water with a sketch alongwith approximate distance from NPOL duly signed by the Contractor and prior approval from AGE (I) R&D Kochi shall be obtained for the same shall be collected and tested as stated above. (h) In case of any change in source of supply of potable water, the contractor shall take prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and carry out all the procedures as mentioned above Note for Item No. 2 only :- The bouzers of 6000 litres capacity shall be fitted with motor and hose of adequate length for pumping water from bouzer to building service tanks.

Testing of water in Government approved Laboratory, complete all as specified and directed.
