Bailing or pumping out water from foundation trenches. (This items hould be executed on the specific direction of the Engineer-in-charges when he is satisfied in his absolute discretion, that this has not been necessitated due to any fault on the part of the contractor.)

Clearing compound premises of shurbs, plants, jungles etc. by cutting and removing as directed (Specific permission of Engineer-in-Charge prior to execution will be necessary). (Payment to be made on area cleared)

Bamboo Pile Walling made of 6.5cm to 7.5cm dia bamboo (in single line) driven about half-length into ground at very close spacing of 30cm c/c side by side, with stout stays at an interval of 90cm fixed with bamboo post of length 1.25m driven 1m below G.L., 3 nos. of half split bamboo runner of same dia fitted and fixed with nails etc. and lining exposed portion with sheets made from cut drums (empty bitumen drums) fitted and fixed with a lap width of 100 mm at each joint, complete as per direction including the cost of drum sheets and including the cost of nails, wires etc. (ii) With bamboos of length above 2.00m and upto 2.50m

Eucalyptus bullah walling with earth filled bags 1.30m (av.) high of 15cm. dia and 4m long bullah pin @ 0.375 mtr. c/c bullah walling of 2.7m (av) below G.L. including fitting, fixing 3 nos. of 10 cm dia bullah as runner providing 2.50 mtr. long 10.0 cm dia bullah as tie bar @ 2.25 mtr c/c and 10.0 cm dia. and 3.0 mtr. long bullah as tie post @ 2.25 mtr. c/c driven @ 2.5 m below G.L. and walling with filling empty cement bags with earth and placing them in position including tying or sewing mouth including cost of thread including cost of all materials and two coat of coal tarring to all Eucalyptus bullah etc. complete including the cost of materials as per direction.

Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains, in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches, levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete. (a) Depth of excavation not exceeding 1,500 mm.

(b) Depth of excavation for additional depth beyond 1,500 mm. and upto 3,000 mm. but not requiring shoring.

Hire and labour charges for shoring work (including necessary close plank walling, framing, Eucalyptus/ Jhou bulla piling, strutting etc) complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge for foundation excavation (vertical surface are in contact with supported earth is to be measured.) (This item should be executed on specific direction of the Enginner in charge). (a) Depth upto 1.5 m.

(b) For additional depth beyond 1.5 m. and upto 3.00 m

Earth work in filling in foundation trenches or plinth with good earth, in layers not exceeding 150 mm. including watering and ramming etc. layer by layer complete. (Payment to be made on the basis of measurement of finished quantity of work) (a) With earth obtained from excavation of foundation

(c) (i) With carried earth arranged by the contractor within a radius of 1 km. including cost of carried earth.
