(b) The Engineer-in-charge may direct the contractor in writing to procure and deposit up to 50% quantity of the material with in 30 days from the date of commencment as required at site out of quantity to complete the scope of work. Remaining 50% shall be procured as per site requirement during progress of work.The decision shall be final and binding on the contractor. (c) The contractor shall deposit the procured material to the store of concerned subdivision within 30 days from the receipt of written direction. Failing which contractor shall liable to pay a penal recovery of Rs. 5000/- per week, levied on the dues of contractor, subject to maximum up to 10% of the work done/CA Amount whichever is higher. M&L for detecting HT 11 KV UG cable faults located in any stretch / depth with sophisticated cable fault locator consisting of microprocessor based pre-locator system, HV surge generator, fault pin point surge wave receiver, cable identification instrument , cable tracer for exact location of under ground cable routes complete all as directed. Note:- The rate quoted deemed to be inclusive of arrangement of necessary fault locator equipment, transportation of equipment & charges for service engineer.
M&L for repair and servicing of HT 11 KV Two pole structure by replacing Aluminium PG clamps, GI bolts and nuts, pieces of ACSR conductor with insulation sleeve RYB of any size as jumpers including lubricating the moving parts of AB switch and cleaning of all disc and pin insulators and applying silicon compound for prevention of arcing due to dust / salt deposits over surfaces including preparation of surfaces, applying zinc chromate primer on rusted surfaces and applying one coat of aluminum paint to the entire structure complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Rate quoted shall be inclusive of two coats of white wash on exposed concrete surfaces of structure.
M&L earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground in vertical position (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below the normal ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, connected to earth lead of galvanised iron strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel, all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point including dismantling un-serviceable earthing complete all as specified and directed. Disconnection of the distribution transformer of capacity 100 to 750 KVA from HT and LT supply mains, removing of Bus duct and Bus bar, leakage arresting by draining out of oil after arrangement of necessary empty oil drums, buckets etc.,dismantling of top cover and accessories, dismantling of LT bushings by disconnecting leads / jumpers from inside, replacement of gaskets and oil seals and re fixing of the LT bushings, making internal and external connections, replacement of cover gasket and accessories, reassembling of acessories and cover, filling back of existing transformer oil complete and making cable connections and assessing for energising the transformer complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) The rate quoted shall include cost of materials like gaskets and oil seals and labour etc. (ii) Bushing and bushing rods shall be measured and paid separately.
Disconnecting the HT/LT connections of transformer of capacity 100 to 750 KVA i.e (Bus duct / Cable bunch) keeping all the cables out from the HT/LT sides, physically checking the transformer for healthiness, performing the transformer tests like HV/LV Meggar test, Ratio Test, Magnetic Balance test and short circuit tests for checking condition of transformer complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) All testing shall be carried out in presence of Engr-in-Charge or his accredited rep and test reports shall be signed by contractor and Engr-in-Charge and kept on record. (ii) If the transformer found satisfactory then HT/LT connections shall be carry out by the contractor and has to charge the transformer. (iii) If the transformer fails in these tests then the contractor has to shift the transsformer for winding /overhauling which will be measured and paid separately. (iv) Cost of winding / overhauling if required shall be measured and paid separately.
Shifting the Transformer of capacity 100 to 750 KVA from existing site to another site within 3 Km distance range by Disconnecting of HT and LT cable connections, jumpers and busbars including LT busbar cable boxes and closing the transformers for loading into transporting vehicle with the help of crane of suitable capacity, transportation to another site, unloading, cable connections both HT and LT, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for replacement of silica gel breather assembly complete suitable for 100 to 750 KVA transformer as per existing with breather unit and silica gel including connecting with proper necessary gaskets if necessary & removing the unserviceable breather assembly complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Disc insulator porcelain vitreous brown 145 mm height & 255 mm dia ball and socket type two in series assembly with cast aluminium 4 U bolt tension hardware and tension clamps for conductors working pressure HT 11 KV including taking down existing un-serviceable insulator complete all as specified and as directed.
S&F Pin insulator porcelain vitreous brown insulator including one galvanised mild steel spindle two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut for 11000 volts grade 150 mm dia & 150 mm height including taking down existing un-serviceable insulator complete all as specified and as directed.

a) M&L for lifting, transporting, handling the transformer to workshop and opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts, bolts, washers etc. including disconnecting core assembly from HT/ LT bushing and lifting the same gently and taking out from the shell (container/ body) of the transformer. b) M&L for draining out transformer oil from the above said transformer in the suitable capacity of container / drums and keeping it in safe custody for reuse. c) M&L for cleaning the transformer body from inside, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles etc. from the bottom / body of the transformer with appropriate chemical solution and drying up the shell from inside before refilling of the transformer oil. d) M&L for cleaning and washing thoroughly core and windings of the transformer by hosing down with clean dry oil conforming to IS 335/1983, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles from the windings / core, thorough inspection of windings, providing insulations to leads and terminals, heating / drying / baking complete carefully and thoroughly inside the heating chamber at suitable temperature to obtain required value of insulation resistance etc. all as specified and as directed by Engr-in- charge. e) Lifting and re-fixing core assembly inside the transformer shell gently and carefully, connecting primary / secondary / Neutral connections to the bushings assembly, fixing of tap change over including tightening of nuts, bolts, washers of the core to reduce humming noise all as directed. f) Refilling the filtered transformer oil in the shell of transformer complete. g) Re-fixing the top cover including replacement of cork sheet / gasket 8mm thick, tightening of nuts / bolts / washers etc. and replacement of breather with silica gel crystal type all as directed by Engr-in charge h) Lifting / shifting to the place from where removed or to any location as directed and re-installing the transformer including connecting primary / secondary / neutral connections etc. all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. j) The inspection of transformer shall involve:- i) Checking of all clamps, nuts, bolts including core bolts & cover fixing bolts. ii) Checking all brazing, joints, tap heads and connection joints. iii) Checking all jumpers, terminations / connections inside the transformer. iv) Checking the Buchholtz relay / conservator MOG if any. v) Painting complete with two coats of synthetic enamel paint externally transformer shell complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (vi) Inspection of tap changer, checking the moving and fixed contacts for contact wear and connection to winding. k) Conducting the tests on core and windings as per IS like ratio, magnetic imbalance, short circuit etc. in presence of Engr-in-Charge and test results shall be signed both by the contractor and Engineer -in-Charge and kept on record. Note:- (i) Any damage to insulators / bushes / windings etc. while in the custody of the contractor shall be made good at no extra cost to Department. The serviceability of the transformer shall be checked and confirmed by the contractor before taking into his custody. (ii) M&L for rewinding / re-insulation of HT / LT (primary / secondary) coils, bushes, studs, Transformer oil, cable box, replacement of buchholtz relay / MOG if any etc will be measured and paid separately. (iii) Necessary gate pass duly signed by all concerned i.e JE, Engr-in-Charge & contractor should be taken while lifting / before taken in to costody of contractor foe handling workshop for repair. (iv) Guarentee / warrenty of the existing transformer to be verified by the Engr-in-Charge before lifting the equipment for repair. (v) Serviceable transformer Oil shall be duly certified by the Engr-in-Charge. (vi) Engr-in-Charge shall satisfy with serviceability of Transformer. No extra cost will be allowed for rectification of defect till expiry of defect liability period once carryout repairs of the transformer measured under this item.

Filtration / De-hidration of transformer oil of transformers / FRMUs installed at various locations to achieve di-electric strength not less than 60 KV at 2.5mm gap as per relevant IS with portable filtration plant, testing of the oil for the di-electric strength before filtration and after filtration complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply and topping up of transformer oil with di-electric strength not less than 60 KV into the conservator tank / body tank of the transformer / OCB / FRMUs etc at various locations complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for rewinding of distribution (HT/LT) transformers of capacity 500 to 750 KVA type by winding the defective coils with new copper wire as per I.S. of same gauge and existing size together with new insulated materials / bracings before placing in to the transformer and assembling the coil with new insulation and fitting the coils in the chamber, testing and commissioning the transformer and recording the test results complete all as directed. Note: M&L for re-insulation of serviceable coils will be measured & paid separately under relevant items.

M&L for replacement of Drain plugs to valves/conservator caps of the sizes 3/4", 1", 1.5" valves and plugs, as per existing suitable for distribution transformers of capacity 100 to 750 KVA and complete all as specified and as directed.
Clearing away all bushes, small plants, grass, vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brushwood, undergrowth, roots upto root level including surface dressing n.exc 15 cm deep around and surroundings areas of E/M installations (i.e.Two Pole/ Four structures, outdoor-substation yards, pump house & Misc E/M installations etc) and removing rubbish / debris upto a distance of not less than 50 metres outside the periphery of the area under clearance complete all as directed.
Supply and laying hardcore of aggregate using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate upto 0.15 mtr over 0.1 mter of sand coushning in outdoor sub-station yards including surface dressing n.exc 15 cm deep including and removing detriated debris of existing hardcore to a distance n.exc 50 mtr before laying of sand all as specified and directed. Note:- Punned thickness will be measured and paid seperately for sand.
Servicing, Inspecting, checking, cleaning by using of blower, lubrication, greasing and carrying out preventive maintanance of RMU of capacity 11 KV, 250 / 350 MVA including calibrating the relay by conducting secondary injection tests and RMU in serviceable condition, testing and commissioning all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Disconnect and taking out IDMT / Numeric / Microprocessor based relay of any type & make from 11 KV HT panel at INS Dega, cleaning the contacts, calibrating the relay by conducting secondary injection tests, checking of current transformer, rectification of defects in control wiring for proper tripping of circuit breakers through CTs and relay and tripping coils, adjustment / setting to plug and time multiplier settings of the relay to achieve the discrimination in tripping, tune / synchronise upstream breaker relay settings, re-installation of relay, testing & commissioning etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) Arrangement of necessary testing / calibration kits, testing equipments, tools etc. shall be done by contractor and cost of the same shalll deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (ii) Testing & tuning shall be carried out in the presence of representative of the accepting officer to the entire satisfaction of the rep of GE.
Taking down HT switch gear (Vacuum circuit breaker ) at INS Dega of capacity 11 KV 250/350 MVA comprising of following repairs, overhauling, servicing, carrying out preventive maintenance and refixing the same after repairs/ overhauling: (a) Tripping off the breaker, lowering the breaker with raising/lowering handle and pulling out the breaker complete from the panel along with the trolley for servicing/inspection/overhauling (b) Servicing/Inspecting/checking of automatic safety shutter, circuit spout and circuit spout connections for RYB phases and replacement of spares operation for serviceability and replacement of spares if required. (c) Dismantling and checking of cross bar assembly, fixed contacts and current carrying parts of the breaker, trolley, insulated assembly and checking lamination with clamps, epoxy spout, isolator assembly etc. (d) Setting, reassembling, cleaning, adjustment of fixed contacts, main contact, arcing contacts and chamber baffle pot assembly, moving contact for proper setting of auxiliary contacts operating mechanism. (e) Servicing/Inspecting/checking of secondary sockets/busbar earthing plugs/earthing sockets and replacement of spares if required. (f) Checking, setting and adjustment of lowering and raising operation of the breaker trolley. (g) Decarbonising of busbar and connected items (h) Lubrication and greasing of all moving parts of the trolley, stopper bolt for proper operating and closing of shutter gear, isolation resistance of trolley of with vacuum interrupter assembly. j) The inspection of HT switch gear shall involve:- (i) Inspection of truck & hoist assembly. (ii) Inspection of tank assembly & barriers. (iii) Inspection of assembly & components of solenoid assembly. (iv) Inspection of assembly & components of dependent mechanism. (v) Inspection of assembly & components of spring box mechanism. (vi) Inspection of motor mechanism spring charge assembly (vii) Inspection of assembly of trip unit & related components Note: (i) The servicing includes for busbar duct chamber, cable alleys and connecting accessories (ii) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include for necessary T&P, nuts, bolts, washers, gasket, insulation tape, compound, painting of VCB panels with approved colour including lettering details all as per existing etc. to put in to the VCBs and panels in serviceable condition, testing and commissioning all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Major spares like Breaker bushings, vacuum interrupter assly, busbar spout, busbar spout connections, circuit spout/circuit spout connections/buffer fixed contacts, moving contacts, tank assly/barriers, solenoid spares, dependent/spring mechanism/ motor mechanism, trip unit etc will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of Schedule 'A'. However the rate quoted shall be deemed to include for any other minor spares require replacement. (iv) The servicing shall be carried out by Rep of Auhtorised service centre as approved by GE.
