Clearing jungle including up rooting of rank vegetation grass bush wood trees and sapling of girth upto 30 cm. measured at a height of 1 m above ground level & removal of rubbish upto a distance of 50 mt. outside the periphery of the area cleared. (if however, only grass is met with the area will be measured and paid for under item 4001).

Removing silt from canal in wet conditions including conveying, stacking the same with all lead and lifts as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Demolishing cement concrete 1:3:6 or richer mixincluding disposal of material within 50 m lead.

Earthwork in surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm depth(but exceeding 1.5 m width as well as 10 sq.m on plan) including disposal of excavated earth beyond work site for all leads lift disposed earth to be leveled and neatly dressed in: a)ordinary Soil

Providing & laying cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand: 6 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggrt. 20 mm. nominal size) excluding cost of centering, shuttering and finishing in: a)All works upto plinth level

Centering and shuttering including struttings, propping etc. and removal of formwork for :a)Foundations, footings, bases for columns and mass concrete.

b)vertical surfaces such as retaining walls , return walls, walls (any thk) including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string courses, fillets, etc.

Providing construction joints in canal lining with in situ sleepers in case of bed and precast in case of sides both of the size 150 x 75 mm section in cement concrete 1:1½:3 (1 cement : 1½ coarse sand:3 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) incl centering and shuttering, curing etc complete and using bitumen and sealing compound of approved quality in joints as specified and directed by Engineer in charge

Providing High yield strength steel reinforcement bar (HYSD)/TMT steel reinforcement bar from secondary producers (Confirming to IS 1786 of 1986) for RCC work including bending, binding & placing in position in all the floors along with the factory made precast concrete cover blocks of specified sizes whose compressive strength is not less than that of surrounding concrete in the structural member.

Providing and laying in position 75 mm thick (1:1½:3) reinforced cement concrete canal lining (1 cement : 1½ coarse sand : 3 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement, but including waterproofing compound of approved quality with ramming, consolidating, curing and finishing the surface with mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) 6 mm thick as specified and directed by Engineer in-charge etc. complete including all lifts and leads.

Construction of embankment with approved material/ moorum obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, breaking clods, grading to required slope watering and compacting each layer of 300 mm in depth manually with wooden or steel rammer and dressing up in embankment of roads, canals, marginal banks and guide banks etc and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
