Construction,testing and commissioning of water treatment plant 2.00 MLD Capacity in shape of Rapid Sand Filter bed and allied units :-The scope of work includes the construction of 2.00 MLD capacity water treatment plant capable to treat the raw water of the quality specified in the basic design data to produce clear water as per the requirements of CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment and as specified in basic design data. The water treatment plant shall include the construction of inlet chamber, raw water tank, presettling tank, V-notch, Flash mixer, alum solution/mixing tanks and dosing arrangement, clari flocculator, settling tanks, rapid sand filters complete with back wash arrangement, clear water tank, complete disinfection arrangement with bleaching power, plant building( for housing chemical store cum dosing room, water testting laboratory cum attendent room (toilet), supply of laboratory equipment,furniture,Electro Mechanical equipments, piping, valves mechanical/ electrical equipment, electric wiring & panel boards, sanitation,flood lights, interconnecting paths, site development upto a minimum of 3m from edge of battery limit of plant i/c retaining and breast walls and fencing.The firm shall submit the detailed hydraulic and structural design and drawings( 6 copies) for each component of treatment plant which shall be approved by the department before the work is started. The design/ drawings and bearing capacity of soil i/c detailed survey and investigation of the mechnical/ electrical equipment & wiring etc. along with manufacturers specificattion/ design also be submitted for approval by the department. On the completion of all civil, mechnical and electrical works the contractor shall test run the plant for three months (90 days ) before handing over the same to the department at the cost of the contractor. However, electrical charges shall be borne by the department. During this period the contractor shall run the plant at full rated capacity and produce the resuslts specified in the NIT as per the CPHEEO standards in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge. (Data sheet No.1).

Automation system & Remote Monitoring:-The tenderer/firm shall provide proposal for automation of all componets of WTP and shall be automated in such a way that these are automattically operated at pre fixed hours/ time or any other logic decided by the department and operated from main SCADA centre at WTP plant building. The entire automation is to be carried out as per the technical data sheets for Electrical, Instrumentation and automation works Volume III in accordance with the technical specifications for automation attached in Volume II. Electromagnetic flow meters of approved makes shall be provided at storage reservoir outlets and its output in the shape of total quantum of water delivered in a hour day and month shall be generated at main control station. GSM based devices shall be installed at tank location, which shall send massages through SCADA station at remote access location at WTP. This data transmission system at tank consists of field instruments for providing digital and analog signals to data transfer module as per the direction of the Engineer- in- Charge.
