Surface dressing not exceeding 15 cm deep and getting out in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation over areas not exceeding 1.50m in depth and getting out in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation over areas exceeding 1.50m and not exceeding 3.00m in depth and getting out in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation over areas exceeding 3.00m and not exceeding 4.50m in depth and getting out in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation over areas exceeding 4.50m and not exceeding 6.00m in depth and getting out in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for PCC M–20 [1:1½:3] by Volumetric Mix, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Foundations including Rafts, Footings, Foundation Beams, Plinth Beams, Bases for Columns, Fillings, Mass Concrete, etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for PCC M–20 [1:1½:3] by Volumetric Mix, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Walls, Retaining Walls, Abutments, Basement Walls, Ballast Walls and the like, any thickness above top of footings including attached pilasters and buttresses etc complete all as specified.

S & F Rolled Mild Steel work conforming to Fe 410-W, Grade-E- 250, Quality-A as in Main and Cross Beams, Hip and Jack Rafters, Purlins where connected to common rafters, and running rails and guides for sliding doors, fixed with angle cleats or other connecting plates etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F MS machine made screw bolts with hexagonal or square head one end and screwed other or screwed both ends, fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut exceeding 5 cm long and not exceeding 10 cm long, dia of neck exceeding 5 mm but not exceeding 10 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for two coats of Synthetic Enamel paint over one coat of Red Oxide / Zinc Chrome Primer on new steel surfaces over 10cm width or girth including preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 1400mm Bore RCC Pipes, Class NP3, Medium Duty, Non Pressure Pipes, with Barrel Wall Thickness of 135mm, Socket & Spigot type, conforming to IS – 458, laid in trenches and jointed in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Use and Removal of Steel Formwork to sides of Concrete Foundations including Rafts, Footings, Foundation Beams, Plinth Beams, Bases for Columns, Fillings, Mass Concrete, etc., sides and soffits [if any] of Foundation and Plinth Beams and similar work, Vertical or to Batter for rough finished surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Use and Removal of Steel Formwork [Plain / Curved] to Faces of Walls, Retaining Walls, Abutments, Parapets and Staircase Railings and similar work including attached Pilasters, Buttresses, etc. Vertical or to Batter for ROUGH finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified.

M & L for preparing newly plastered Wall Surfaces and applying three coats of white washing complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Walling of Random Rubble Masonry, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Boulder Pitching, laid dry, hand packed tightly and grouted in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick of excavated soil complete all as specified and as directed. Note: A deduction of 10% shall be made from total computed volume of filling to cater in bulk irrespective of machinery used for ramming.

Removal of excavated material [Soil] to a distance exceeding 500m and not exceeding 1000m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Serial Item No. 1 to 18: [a] The rates quoted for respective items includes cost of Dewatering and Shoring / Shuttering as required at site if an inflow of water into excavations is caused by powerful springs, tidal or river seepage, broken water mains or drains and the like or rising of water table. Bailing and pumping of water, if required, shall be done as described in Para 3.17 of MES Schedule Part – I or suitable methods as directed by the GE and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. Please also note that rate quoted for respective items includes cost of timbering to uphold sides of excavation if required and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [b] The rates quoted for respective items is also includes for making diversion of sewage water etc. during construction of Abutments, Retaining Walls, Culverts etc. by suitable arrangements to prevent seepage of the same in to the excavation pits and foundations etc.
