DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS

Dismantling of MH / LED/ T-5 light fittings of any capacity from existing poles / buildings of any height/type including re-fixing after repair/replacment of unserviceable parts such as LED drivers,LED modules T-5 tubes, chokes etc and making the fitting functional by replacing minor parts such as nuts,bolts PVC connector upto Rs. 25.00 each complete all as specified and directed. (Notes:-Parts shall be measured & paid separately as given here-in-after as supply only).

Taking down PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch/isolator/panel/junction box of any size complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 1100 Volts grade heavy duty cable one twin core, circular 6 Sqmm PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 1100 Volts grade heavy duty cable one twin core, circular 10 Sqmm PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of underground cable and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in excavated soil in trenches including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removing of excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for dry sand cushioning to underground cables in layer as in trenches for cable protection or under floor or in foundation and gentally hand ramming and consolidation complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing of new sub class 'B' bricks, old size, well burnt laid flat dry for protection of under ground cable complete all as specified and directed.

Making horizontal bore hole under road of 50 mm bore size at the depth not less than 1 mtr below ground level for passing of LT underground cable complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in replacement GI pipe light grade 40 mm bore for cable protection, fixed to pole/ alongwall/ floor/ under road/ across the drain or nallaha etc with and including necessary nuts, bolts and clamps as directed complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and laying in replacement XLPE LT 1100 volts underground earthed cable, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable heavy duty 1100V with multi stranded, aluminum conductor of cross sectional area 10 Sqmm, 2 Core including laying, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and directed. NOTE:- Excavation & eartwork shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

Supply and laying in replacement XLPE LT 1100 volts underground earthed cable, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable heavy duty 1100V with multi stranded, aluminum conductor of cross sectional area 16 Sqmm, 4 Core including laying, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and directed. NOTE:- Excavation & eartwork shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

Lopping/prooning of tree branches upto the extend to obtain clearance all around the LT over head lines / HT over head lines conductor upto 3 mtr from furthest conductor on pole including removing of cut branches and cleaning of site complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (a). The trees branches etc will be left as it is and will not be carried away by the contractor / DEL as the wood belongs to CEO / DEO and they will be responsible to lift the wood. (b). Prooning of all tree branches in one tree shall be measured as one Job. c). contractor supervisor will take proper shut down from MES installation before starting the work and clear it before resuming power supply . However full assistance will be provided by MES staff.

Supply and fixing of micro prismatic reftective sheet, min 2.5 cm wide, with adhesive base for dirtectly fixing on HT/LT steel tubular/PCC pole without nail or any other fixing material at suitable height, in Red/White/Yellow colour complete all as directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement shackle type porcelain vitreous white, brown or green insulator including one galvanised mild steel straps, washers and nut 75 mm height, 90 mm dia for 1100 volts grade, including removal of existing insulators complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement pin type porcelain vitreous white, brown or green insulator including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut 100 mm height, 65 mm dia for 1100 volts grade, including removal of existing insulators complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down of old aluminium conductor of any description /size from LT Poles including cross arms, bracing and other steel accessories.

Fixing of old ACSR conductor, removed under Item No 31 on existing or new LT poles including binding with 02 mm dia aluminium binding wire all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply & fixing new ACSR conductor of any size including binding on existing LT poles or new poles with 02 mm dia aluminium binding wire all as specified & directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

M& L Applying two coats of white wash on PCC coping including preparation of old surface and writing pole numbers with yellow synthetic enamelled paint after making circular base of 10 cm dia with black synthetic enamelled paint including preparation of old existing surface of HT/LT/street light pole complete all as specified. (Note : Pole serial no. will be as approved by GE/Engr-in-charge)

M&L Applying painting with one coat of aluminium paint of old painted surface of LT/street light pole including channels/ brackets, street light brackets, cross arms and making black & white strips with synthetic enamelled paint of 30 cm height, each alternative strip upto 1.5 mtr height and writing pole numbers with yellow synthetic enamelled paint after making circular base with black synthetic enamelled paint and preparation of complete and and applying two coats of white wash on PCC coping complete all as specified.(Note : Pole serial no. will be as approved by GE/Engr-in-charge)

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C-2,using stone aggregate 40mm graded as in foundation of stays and coping of poles including necessary form work where required and fair finish to the exposed surfaces including broken of existing PCC all as specified & directed.

M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D-2, using stone aggregate 40mm graded as in foundation for electric poles and making of cable duct including necessary form work where required and fair finish to the exposed surfaces all as specified & directed.

Dismantling of LT PCC/steel tubular pole of any size and discription incl coping, foundation etc omplete all as specified and directed.

Supply and erection, in truly vertical position, LT Steel tublar swaged pole complete with cast iron base plate finial taper plug, bolt , nut and screwed type 410 SP 31 09 mtrs long Class -10 including painting of poles with two coats of aluminum paint, black and white strips upto 1.5 mtr height from coping over a coat of red oxide primer including numbering of poles as directed by Engineer in charge. (Note : PCC, Earth work and MS work as cross arms clamps etc will be measured and paid separately).

Supply, fabricating and fixing, cross arms (any type) supports, bracting, stiffness etc made out of MS channel, angle iron , flat iron of any size including drilling of holes, making clamps, eye hooks, nuts, bolts and washers etc, welding if required including painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint as well as dismantling of existing all as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Unbinding and restretching of GI earth wire 04mm dia on LT poles and including wire with 1.63mm dia GI binding wire all as specified & directed. (Note : 1. Cost of binding wire shall be included in the rate. 2. Distance between two poles for one single Length of GI wire will be consider as one span)

Supplying, drawing and fixing in replacement of contineous GI earth wire/gaurd/cradles of 4mm dia including GI binding wire 1.63 mm and GI holding hook on HT poles incl taking down old rusted GI wire all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for stay assembly comprising of stay bow 40 cm long, 14mm dia complete with accessories as shown in electrical plate No -1 of SSR Pt- 1 with and including 20 mm dia stay rod , 215 cm long with threaded ends ,GI nuts, bolts , washers, thimbles including nuts, bolts and washers, 300mmx500mmx6mm stay plate, 7/8 SWG strand GI wire complete including dismentling of existing damaged assembly. (Note :- Stay clamps, PCC,excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid for seperately).

Supply and fixing in replacement, loop type insulators, vitreous porcelain white, brown or green with over all size 65x90mm with clearance dia of the hole 16mm including removal of old broken insulators. Make :- MYSORE/ BHEL/ PORCELAIN / JAIPURIA BROS.

M&L for bus bar chamber, fixed on wall, 4 ways, 200 Amps ,415 V powder coated, water & vermin proof , IP-66 protection duly provided with front openable door incl provision of TPN copper bus bar heat shrinkable colored PVC sleeve coated for phase and neutral complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised or steel earth plate electrode of size 60cm x60cmx6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically ( to a depth not less than 2.25mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected to strip 32x 6 mm size with nuts, bolts , check nuts , washers, earth plate surrounded by packed layers of charcoal dust and common salt 15cm thick all around, top & bottom watering pipe 20mm bore of GI medium grade with funnel and wiremesh all as shown in electrical plate No. 5 of SSR -1991 Part I and connecting to arthing test point,main switch board and testing on completion including PCC chamber concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 and RCC cover 75mm thick with MS TMT bar 8mm dia @ 150mm c/c both ways in cement concrete(1:2:4) type B-1 all asshown in electrical plate in No 3 of SSR(Pt-I)1991 complete all as specified and dirfected by Engineer-in-charge.

M & L for cutting chases in cement mortar 1:3 to ends or edges of landing, steps cills sunshades, shelves, lintels etc ; and cutting chases for concealed conduit wiring and making good, cutting not exc 10 cm girth in brick walls

Supply and fixing/laying of galvanized iron strip of size 32x6 mm as earth continuity conductor provided in between earth test point terminal and upto the equipment incl nuts, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of danger notice plate of 1.6mm thick, MS sheet, vitreous enamelled white, with letters, figuers and conventional skull and bones in signal red colour and fixed with MS clamps made out of flat iron 25x3 mm, nuts-bolts, of approved size for LT 20 x 15 cm.

Supply and fixing of PVC LT OH line spacer for 5 wires complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of PVC LT OH line spacer for 4 wires complete all as specified and directed.
