SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR PROVN OF TRAINING SHED AT CMM JABALPUR

Items Required:-

(A) Carryout boring, sampling, testing & conducting SPT test as part of soil investigation to ascertain soil profile, bearing capacity as per following requirement upto depth of 15m:- (a) Conduction standard oenetration test (SPT) as per IS -2131-1988. The testing shall be made at every change in strata or at the intervals of not more than 1.50mtr whichever is less. The test may be made at least intervals if specified or considered necessary as per 3.31 of IS-2131-1988. (b) Collection of distrubed/undisturbed soil samples from bore hole at an interval of 1.50mtr or change of strata and conducting test reporting on following soil parameter. (i) Grain size distribution / particle size analysis. (ii) Atterberg limits and plasticity index (iii) Bulk and dry density (iv) Specific gravity (v) Moisture content (vi) Harmful salt test (in case of sandy soil) (vii) Direct shear test (viii) Unconfined un-drained test (ix) Consolidation test. (x) Determination of internal angle friction c & ø values. (xi) Differentail free swell test and determination of swelling. (B) The soil investigation report shall submit completely covering the following in quadruplicate:- (a) Bore log chart showing depth of soil strata. (b) Ground water level. (c) Probable maximum and differential settlement. (d) Safe bearing capacity for various sizes of footing at different depth. (e) Recommendations for type and depth of foundation. (f) Site plan building wise with RL of corner of building. (g) Bore hole location w.r.t FFL/Fixed bench mark. (h) Bearing capacity and depth of foundation w.r.t FFL/Fixed bench mark. (j) Suitability of soil for refilling under floor and in trenches

Excavation open trial pit of size 1.2m x 1.20m x 3.00m depth and collect the undisturbed soil sample at every 1.00m interval and carryout plate load test at every 1.00m interval and also carry out following test and submit the report in triplicate:- (a) Grain size distribution / partivle size analysis. (b) Atterberg limits and plasticity index. (c) Bulk and dry density. (d) Specific gravity. (e) Moisture content. (f) Harmful salt test (In case of sandy soil). (g) Direct shear test. (h) Unconfined Un-drained test. (j) Consolidation test. (k) Determination of internal angle friction c & ø values. (l) Differential free swell test and determination of swelling indexes for expansive soil. Note :- Bidder should be accredited from NABL
