Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means in all type of strata comprising any of the materials such as soil, silt, sand, clay, gravels, moorum of all varieties, shingles, pebbles, all type of conglomerates, laterite rock, soft rock, disintegrated rock, fissured, shattered, decomposed rock or weathered rock and all such other materials as described under appendix to thesespecification whether in full or in parts as the case may be adopting any approved method or methods as may be convenient or permitted inclusive of chiselling, wedging blasting prohibited etc. in all conditions such as dry, moist, saturated, submerged, foul conditions, etc. including pumping or bailing out water including setting out construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom and back filling the excavated earth to the extend required and disposing of the remaining excavated soil/rock as directed by engineer-in-charge for all leads and lifts etc. as specified and directed etc. complete.

Rubble packing with hard laterite stone under floors including watering ramming and consolidating etc. in pipeline trenches and other foundations complete.

Providing & laying cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement: 2 coarse sand: 4 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggrt. 20 mm. nominal size) excluding cost of centering, shuttering and finishing in: a) All works upto Plinth level

b. In retaining walls , return walls(any thk) including attached pilasters, columns, piers, abutments, pillars, posts, struts, buttresses, string or lacing courses, parapets, coping bed blocks, anchor blocks, plain window sills, fillets etc, upto floor five level.

Centering and shuttering including struttings, proping etc and removal of formwork in a) Foundations, footings, bases for columns and mass concrete

b. vertical surfaces such as retaining walls, return walls, walls (any thk) including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string courses, fillets, etc.

Providing and fixing weepholes with rigid PVC make laid in position with a required slope and level while laying pipes of approved the concrete of retaining wall, wing wall and earth retaining structure complete as directed by the Engineer in charge. A) 110 mm dia

Refilling the pipeline/foundation trenches plinth sides, foundation etc. with available excavated earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm depth consolidating each layer ramming and watering lead upto 50 M and all lifts and disposal of surplus earth as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope, watering and compacting manually with half tone roller or wooden or steel rammer and as diected bu Engineer-in charge.

Dry stone pitching 22.5 cms thick using laterite stone of approved quality including supplying of stone and preparing surface etc. complete.
