19 Strengthening of Beam using Carbon fibre Wrapping system, Providing 152.00 Sqm 9047.58
and placing carbon fibre wrap fabric (Sika wrap 601 C or equivalent) in
the required direction in a single layer or as per manufacturers
specifications including epoxy based impregnating resin/ adhesive for
fabric for base and top coat. During wrapping the CFRP fabric to RCC
element use tamping rollers toavoid any air voids etc. and sprinkle sand
over it to creat mechanical anchor for further plaster application where
required. Apply epoxy-based adhesive to the prepared surface using
trowel, roller or brush, depending on the roughness of the substrate.
Entire surface should be covered with epoxy mix thoroughly as per
specification given by the manufacturer. Adhesive/primer should be
applied as per site requirement which can be covered within the pot life
of the epoxy mix.The surface must be dry and free of deteriorated
concrete, bond inhibiting material and contaminants. Surface defects
such as honeycombed areas, blowholes and voids must be fully exposed
by grinding. Edges and corners must be generally rounded to aminimum
radius of 25 mm or as per design specifications.This can be achieved
either by grinding or by building up with epoxy mortars.

Providing and applying Nitoplate CPS - Carbon Fiber FRP Pultruded
Laminate strips of 1.4mm thick and 100mm width to the prepared
substrate using thixotropic epoxy adhesive. The FRP laminate used shall
be of zero degree unidirectional fibers having volumetric fiber content
of 68%, fiber density of 1.5 g/cc and shall have tensile strength of
MPa ; tensile modulous of 165 GPa and ultimate elongation of 1.7%. The
thixotropic epoxy bonding adhesive shall be applied at 1mm thickness
on the substrate and 2mm thickness on the laminate. The adhesion of
the entire system(Laminate and adhesive combined) with concrete shall
be > 3.5 MPa with concrete failure as per ASTM D 4541. The adhesive
used shall have tensile modulous > 2700 MPa (ASTM D638) ; flexural
modulous > 48000 MPa (ASTM D790 ) ; Elongation > 2.5% & Glass
Transition TemPerature > 100 deg C (ASTM E 1356). The ends of the
laminates shall be anchored suitably.,etc complete. Product used shall
have CE (CE-29842) marking and compliance according to Construction
Products Directive 89/106/EEC (CPD)

Consumption/16/C Date:11/05/2017 as stated in S.O.R. therefore in R.C.C. items where there is a change as per actual
4 mix design the cost of difference of cement consumption have been deducted from the rate of original item at the rate of
input rate mentioned in all the tender.
