REPAIR MAINT AND REPLACEMENT OF LIGHTENING ARRESTOR WITH ALLIED WORKS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO. 1

Supply and fixing in repair Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size of 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8mm dia 25 mm long screw, fixed in and SMC junction box of size 170mm x 170mm x 105mm hinged door fixed on wall, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : SMC juction box will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule.

Material and labour for PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300mm x 300mm x 300mm with 120mm thick wall and 700mm x 700mm x 150mm thick bed concrete and 50mm thick precast chamber cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B-1 for, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I including demolition of old pit, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel in 5 Kg packing, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and filling Common Salt in existing conventional earth pits in appropriate pacakage, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair mild steel galvanised earth strip of size 32 x 6 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal, including taking down old strip, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Epoxy insulator will be inclusive of the rate quoted.

Supply and fixing in repair copper earth strip of size 20 x 3.15mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminals or as directed, including taking down old strip, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Epoxy insulator will be inclusive of the rate quoted.

Supply and fixing in repairs Copper strip 32 x 6mm buried in ground, drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair Aluminium earth strip of size 25 x 3.15mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal, including taking down old strip, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :Epoxy insulator will be inclusive of the rate quoted.

Material and labour in replacement of earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 3mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m deep below normal ground connected to copper strip of size 20 mm x 3.15 mm by means of bolts nuts check nuts and washer of galvanized steel, watering pipe of 20 mm bore, galvanised iron, light grade, and 40 mm bore galvanised iron light grade for earth wire protection including all excavation earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 and RCC 1:2:4, type B-1 for precast chamber cover 50mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), with charcoal, salt, funnel complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I and testing on completion. Note:- Quoted rates of above item including the cost of following :- (a) Earth electrode. (b) Main earthing lead from earth electrod to test point of 7.5 metre with protection pipe including connection with existing test point . (c) Material and labour for connecting earth electrode and earthing lead as specified. (d) Excavation and earth work or drilling hole for electrode. (e) Adequate quantity of charcoal Dust,common salt and adequate quantity of chemical. (f) Black Soil to be arrange by contractor for mixing with charcoal, crystal salt , magnesium Sulphate & Vegetable oil and also for fiiling balance portion of unit in layers. (g) transportation charges for arrangement of black soil. (h) Tools and plants require for making depth upto 4 Mtr os tp be arrange by contractor charge for the same is included in the rate quoted. (i) PCC pit with cover (j) funnel with watering pipe,wire mesh as specified.

Material and labour in replacemnt for installation, testing and commissioning of earthing using following material including necessary T&P required to complete job for earthing, excavation etc. Make:- Powertrac Model No-PT-803 or equivalent of make PRAGATI/ McML's Earthing Solution (MES)/ Ashlock. (a) 'CHEMO' M.F. Earthing Electrode (conforming to IS 3043:1987) of copper, 3.00 metre long, 80 mm outer dia, copper inner strip of size 50 x 6 mm thick, pipe filled with SRIP compound (50 kg per earthing electrode) (b) PCC earthing protection chamber for each earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 and RCC 1:2:4, type B1 for precast chamber cover 50 mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 kg/sqm) Quoted rates of above item including the cost of following :- (a) Earth electrode. (b) Main earthing lead (copper 20x3.15 mm) from earth electrod to test point of 7.5 metre with protection pipe including connection with existing test point . (c) Material and labour for connecting earth electrode and earthing lead as specified. (d) Excavation and earth work or drilling hole for electrode.
