Repairs/Refurbishment of Bollards and Fairleads at Building Dock and SRC Dry Dock

Chipping and removal of existing RCC surface upto 250mm depth manually/Mechanically including cleaning and disposal of debris out of HSL Premises as directed by Engineer -In-charge.

Corecutting of 53mm dia hole in RCC surface through the existing Reinforced rods in that area, anchoring and grouting of 46mm dia 1000mm long Fully threaded GI bolt using twin compound resin grout of RE500 of HILTI including thorough cleaning of drilled holes and chipped area using air blower, required machinery, labour and consumable all complete as directed by Engineer-In-charge. Pull out tests with designated loads for anchor bolts should be carried out by the contractor. (Note : Supply of 46mm dia anchor bolt will be measured and paid seperately as per item no.3)

Supply of 46mm dia fully threaded GI bolt of 8.8 grade, 1000mm long with required nut, washers and check nuts all complete as directed by Engineer-In-charge.

Supply and laying of Fe 550 grade reinforcement rods of approved make like SAIL, VIZAG Steel, TATA Steel, JSW including transportation, straightening, cutting, bending and tying in position with required binding wires and welding to existing Re-bars all complete as directed by Engineer-In-charge.

Providing and laying M30 grade concrete for basement and filling up of bollards/fairleads including required shuttering all complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Grouting the gaps below baseplates of bollards and fairlead using Fosroc GP2 including required material, consumables, labour, shuttering etc all complete as directed by Engineer-In-charge.

Providing and Applying 2 coat of Coal tar epoxy paint (required dry film thickness is 150 microns/coat) over one coat red oxide primer (required dry film thickness is 30 microns/coat) of approved brand for bollards and fairleads including Surface preparation by chipping and removal of rust using power tools/ manual means, rental charges of required machineries, labours, consumables etc all complete as directed by Engineer-In-charge.

Cutting and removal of existing anchor bolts, lifting and removing out of bollards/fairleads from its erected postion along with its existing baseplates, cutting and removal of existing corroded baseplates, grinding & preparing the uneven surfaces at bottom of bollard stem and making chamfer / bevelled edges and erection of refurbished bollards in position including disposal of steel scrap in designated location all as directed by Engineer In charge.

Fabrication and welding of newly issued MS base plates to CI bollards and fairleads using IRS certified E6013 or E 7018 electrodes of size 3.15 to 4.00mm including drilling holes of required size all as directed by Engineer Incharge. In-situ X-ray test and UT test at welded joints covering at least 10% of weld length in each bollard/fairlead should be conducted by the contractor. . (Note: 1. MS baseplates will be issued free of cost by HSL, 2. Fabrication chages will be given to weight of New base plate + weight of Pedestal of bollard)
