Note: During the Phenolphthalein test if it is found that there is no change in the colour, the cutting / chipping of the concrete shall be carried out further down until reaching the good or uncontaminated concrete.

M & L for preparation of the surface by wire brushing and thoroughly cleaning the surface with dry cloth to remove all the dust and applying One Coat of Alkaline Rust Converter of M/s. Fosroc Chemicals India [P] Ltd. or M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or M/s. STP Ltd. or M/s. Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. or M/s Bostik India Pvt. Ltd. as per manufacturer's instructions by brush to all accessible parts of exposed rusted metal surface and allowed to react with the chemical for 16-24 hours and the surface shall be again wire brushed to remove any leftover loose particles and finally the surface shall be thoroughly cleaned with clean water complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying One Coat of Corrosion Inhibitor of M/s. Fosroc Chemicals India [P] Ltd. or M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or M/s. STP Ltd. or M/s. Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. or M/s Bostik India Pvt. Ltd. as per manufacturer's instructions on entire repair area complete all as specified and as directed. Note: The Corrosion Inhibitor shall be applied after provision of additional reinforcement etc. if any.

M & L for applying Two Coats of Epoxy Phenolic Based / Epoxy Based Anti-Corrosive Protective Coating of M/s. Fosroc Chemicals India [P] Ltd. or M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or M/s. STP Ltd. or M/s. Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. or M/s Bostik India Pvt. Ltd. as per manufacturer's instructions by preparing the chemical using a slow speed heavy duty drilling machine fitted with mixing paddle and the prepared solution shall be applied immediately to the cleaned reinforcement and allowed to dry complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Drilling Holes of 16mm dia up to 60% depth of the original structural member at a orthogonal grid of 150mm centre to centre and fixing PVC Nozzles of 12mm dia one way injection nipple and sealing the annular space around the nipple with epoxy putty for injecting cementitious polymeric grout to fill the honeycombing noticed after removal of shuttering inside the beams, columns, slabs etc. including removal of loose concrete material, cleaning the drill holes with compressed air, providing grouting with Injection Grout ie. by injecting Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin of M/s. Fosroc Chemicals India [P] Ltd. or M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or M/s. STP Ltd. or M/s. Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. or M/s Bostik India Pvt. Ltd. as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed. Note: [a] In case reinforcement or coarse aggregate is encountered during drilling holes in concrete, further drilling shall be stopped and holes shall be re-drilled at different location. Failed / suspended drilled holes shall not be considered for measurement and payment. [b] The Epoxy Resin and Hardner shall be mixed in proportions as per manufacturer's instructions using a slow speed heavy duty drilling machine fitted with mixing paddle and the prepared resin shall be injected immediately but not later than 30 minutes at a pressure rating of 2 to 3 KG / Sq.cm in to the cleaned PVC Nozzles complete as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. Resin and Hardner shall be mixed in small quantities so that it is consumed with in 30 minutes. The injection gun shall be equipped with pressure gauge & valves for controlling flow of compressed air & resin. [c] Projected part of the PVC Nipple shall be cut, the hole shall be sealed and finished with with epoxy putty as per manufacturer's instructions and exposed susrface of substrate shall be cleaned off any dust/loose material after ageing of the grout as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed.

M & L for Drilling Holes of 80mm to 100 mm deep and of suitable diameter suitable for 8mm & 10mm dia bars In Concrete with suitable equipment in columns, beams, slabs, walls etc. to the required depth as directed by the Engineer-in-charge to facilitate anchoring of reinforcement bars into the core concrete etc. and providing additional reinforcement using High Strength Corrosion Resistant Deformed Bars of Grade Fe–500D of 8mm or 10mm dia bars of required length and grouting / anchoring with pure Epoxy Resin Anchoring Mortar "Master Flow 935" of M/s. BASF Ltd. or its equivalent in of M/s. Fosroc Chemicals or equivalent approved bonding agent in M/s. Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or M/s. STP Ltd. or M/s. Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. or M/s Bostik India Pvt. Ltd. for proper bonding in to the concrete etc. including working platforms, equipment, machines, skilled manpower etc. complete all as specified and as directed. Note: [a] In case reinforcement or coarse aggregate is encountered during drilling holes in concrete, further drilling shall be stopped and holes shall be re-drilled at different location. Failed / suspended drilled holes shall not be considered for measurement and payment. M & L for Drilling Holes of 160 mm to 180mm deep and of suitable diameter suitable for 16mm & 20mm dia bars In Concrete with suitable equipment in columns, beams, slabs, walls etc. to the required depth as directed by the Engineer-in-charge to facilitate anchoring of reinforcement bars into the core concrete etc. and providing additional reinforcement using High Strength Corrosion Resistant Deformed Bars of Grade Fe–500D of 16mm or 20mm dia of required length and grouting / anchoring with pure Epoxy Resin Anchoring Mortar "Master Flow 935" of M/s. Note for Serial Item No. 1 to 11: The work of structural rehabilitation shall be got carried out under the supervision and guidance of Manufacturer of the Chemicals by the authorised applicator. A certificate from authorised applicator and Manufacturer shall be obtained by the contractor to the effect that work of structural rehabilitation has been carried out under their strict supervision and the same shall be submitted by the contractor to GE. The contractor shall also obtain a written guarantee for effectiveness for a period of 10 [Ten] Years from the certified date of completion of entire work from the manufacturer and submit the same to GE before claiming payment. Rate quoted is deemed to be including providing double scaffolding and safety measures as required and removal of the same on completion and disposal and depositing the demolished material out of MD land complete all as specified and as directed. Nothing shall be paid extra on this account.

Use and removal of steel formwork to sides of pillars, posts, struts, piers, columns and stanchions of any shape / cross section for fair finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified and as directed.
