b) The sensors will be mounted on assets/piping with 4 - 20mA/Modbus outputs to edge gateways - enable remote alarming, energy savings, and compliance.

PREAMBLE
1.NAME OF THE WORK::
“USED WATER SENTINEL SYSTEM – IoT-based Centralized Monitoring for Entire Used Water Treatment Plants, TTRO & TTUF including comprehensive Operation and Maintenance for 5 years in Chennai city”
General
The price Schedule shall be read with reference to the Notice Inviting Tender, Instruction to Bidders, Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Technical Specifications of the Tender Documents, Schedule of deviation and drawings.
The items of work included in the Bill of Quantities are Lump Sums (unless otherwise stated) which taken together cover all the requirements of the Contract. The works will not be measured to adjust the Contract Price, although some measurement may be undertaken to estimate progress for monthly valuation
Each item in the price Schedule shall be individually priced in ink and the same shall be added up to the Bid Cost. No column in the price Schedule shall be left blank. The price quoted by the Bidder must allow for all works as per the detailed specifications and for all contractual obligations whether separately specified or not.
The rates and prices bid in the priced Bill of Quantities shall, except in so far as it is otherwise provided under the Contract, include all the Constructional equipment, Plant, Labour, supervision, materials, erection, maintenance, insurance, profit, taxes and duties, together with all general risks, liabilities and obligations set out or implied in the Contract. The rates and prices in the price Schedule shall, except in cases separately provided for, be deemed to cover all the contractual obligations under this contract.
Any other item to be executed as per scope of work but not covered in the sub-head under broad break-up of payment should also be specified separately along with price Schedule by the bidder at no additional cost to the Owner. Any other item of works which are required to complete the project successfully may be added by the bidders in the subsequent serial no of BOQ format.
The items in Bill of quantities are split into the components of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Works. The cost of items in any of the Bill against which the Contractor has failed to enter a rate or price shall be deemed to be covered by other rates and prices entered in the Bill of Quantities.
The whole cost of complying with the provisions of the Contract shall be included in the items provided in the Bill of Quantities, and where no items are provided, the cost shall be deemed to be distributed among the rates and prices entered for the related items of Work.
General discussions and descriptions of work and materials are not necessarily repeated in its entirety nor summarised in the Bill of Quantities. References to the relevant sections of the contract documentation shall be made before determining the work covered by each items in the prices Bill of Quantities.
Cost of the items not specifically mentioned in the Bill of Quantities such as Designs, Drawing, Soil investigation tests, Factory Tests, Temporary site facilities, Transportation, Trial Runs, Commissioning, Defect Liability period, Operation and Maintenance Manual, As Built Drawings etc are deemed to be included in the Contract Price. No claim regarding any of these accounts can be made during the performance of the Contract.
Operation and Maintenance Works
Payment under O&M is to cover all costs of USED WATER SENTINEL SYSTEM – IoT-based Centralized Monitoring for Entire Used Water Treatment Plants, TTRO & TTUF under CMWSSB.
· Routine maintenance;
· Scheduled maintenance ;
· Supply, storage and replacing spares and replacement of items as necessary.
· Provision of all consumables.
· Monitoring, record keeping and reporting
· Supply, training and supervision of all operation and maintenance staff;
· Updating operation and maintenance manuals;
· Confirmation tests at the end of the operation and maintenance period;
· Training of Employer’s operators.
Deduction for Failure to Achieve performance Guarantees
In the event of the Contractor failing to achieve the Performance Guarantees given in Volume I a deduction for Liquidated Damage shall be applied as per Special Conditions of Contract, Part-6.
Any other item of works which are required to complete the project successfully may be added by the bidders in the subsequent serial no of BOQ format
