Earthwork excavation for foundations and depositing on bank for all lifts and with an initial lead of 10m including all Operational, incidental, labour charges such as shoring, sheeting, planking, strutting etc., complete for finished item of work. Ordinary soil-MECHANICAL means upto 3m depth Note: Cost of dewatering upto 5% of (a+b) may be added, where required, up to 10% of labour cost Assessment for dewatering shall be made as per site conditions.
Earthwork excavation in hard rock (blasting prohibited) with rock breakers including breaking rock, loading in tippers and disposal with intial lift of 3 m and lead up to 1000 mt, including trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines grades and cross sections as per technical specifications clause 302.3.5MORD/301 MORTH - Mechanical means. Conveyance of excavated surplus earth/debris to a distance 2 kms from the site of work at the place specified by the Engineer-in-Charge including loading and unloading etc., complete as directed during execution.
Filling with useful available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, sides of foundations and basement with initial lead in layers not exceeding 15cm thick, consolidating each deposited layer by watering and ramming including cost and conveyance of water to work site and all operational, incidental, labour charges, hire charges of T&P etc., complete for finished item of work. Note: Cost of transportation of good quality earth has not been included. Only labour for carrying carted earth with a lead of 50m to the foundation pits has been taken in the rate. The cost of carted earth / sand may be worked out separately if the same is not available from adjoining area.
Filling of foundations and basement with best river sand in layers of not more than 15 cms. thick each well watered to saturation and consolidated including cost and conveyance of all materials, incidental charges etc., complete.

Note: Measurement boxes shall be used for measuring the quantities of cement, aggregate and water required for the given concrete mix.required for the given concrete mix.
Supply and placing of M 25 Design Mix Concrete corresponding to IS 456 using concrete mixer using of 20 mm HBG crushed metal 0.530 cum (707 kgs),. 10 mm HBG crushed metal, 0.362 cum (471 kgs) , sand 0.407 cum (616 kgs.) and cement 380 kgs with water cement ratio of 0.48 ( 182.40 ltrs/ cum of CC) etc., to site and sales & other taxes on all materials including all operational, incidental and labour charges such as machine mixing, vibrating, laying concrete, curing etc., complete with cement from standard suppliers approved by the department and excluding cost of steel and its fabrication charges for finished item of work (APSS No. 402).
Note:-The design mix shall be got designed by furnishing the information required as per clause 19.1.1 & 19.1.2 of IS 456-2000 by the contractor at his own cost and get approved from the competent authority before execution. The cement considered for above M25 grade concrete is 380 kgs/Cum and the rate is arrived accordingly in the estimate. After the mix is designed and approved, if there is any variation in the quantity of cement, over the cement content adopted in the estimate, the same will be considered and paid/recovered at estimate rate + T.P (Either increae or decrease in quantity adopted in the estimate). Payment will not be made for variation in the quantity of other materials such as coarse & Fine aggregate.

Providing and laying Bituminous macadam of specified compacted thickness using VG30 grade bitumen on prepared surface with specified IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of (specified grading premixed with bituminous binder) grading conforming to Table 500-7 for base course, including loading of aggregates with F.E. loader and Hot mixing of stone aggregates and bitumen in Hot mix plant 40-60 TPH capacity, transporting the mixed material to the site, laid over a previously prepared surface with mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level & alignment and rolled as per clauses 501.60 and 501.70 using Smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonnes for initial break down rolling and Vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes for intermediate rolling and Finish rolling with 6-8 tonnes Smooth wheeled tandem roller to achieve the desired compaction as per Technical specification No.504 of MORTH including cost of cleaning with air compressor 250 cfm, all labour, materials, hire charges of machinery, loading, unloading and conveyance etc., but excluding cost of prime/tack coat as per specification vide clause No. 504 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by Engineer-in-charge during execution with the Grading II (19mm nominal size) layer thickness-50 to 75mm with 3.4% of Bitumen by weight of total mix.
Note: 1.Allthough the rollers are required only for 3 hrs as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for 6 hrs as the Hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. To cater for the idle period of these roller there usage rates have been multiplied by a factor of 0.65. 2. Quantity of Bitumen has been taken for estimate purpose. The actual quantity will depend upon job mix formula. 3. Labour for traffic control, watch and ward and other miscellaneous duties at site including sundries have been included in administrative overheads of the contractor.
Providing and laying Bituminous concrete of specified thickness by Hot mix plant 100-120 TPH capacity using bitumen of grade VG30, IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler (Qurry Rubbish) conforming to Table 500-17 & Table 500-9, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment rolling with smooth wheeled 8-10 tonne, vibratory 8-10 tonne and tandem 6-8 tonne rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per Specification vide Clause No.507 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge during execution. Grade-II - 13.2mm (nominal size) layer thickness -30 to 40mm with bitumen binder @5.4% minimum by weight of total mix.
Note: 1.Allthough the rollers are required only for 3 hrs as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for 6 hrs as the Hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. The individual density for each size of aggregates to be used for construction i.e.,37.5-25mm, 25-10mm etc., should be found in the laboratory and accordingly the quantities should be amended for use in field. The average density of 1.5 tonne/cu.m is only a reference dencity in this data book. 5. The individual percentage of aggregates should be calculated from the total weight of dry aggregates i.e., excluding the weight of bitumen. The weight of filler will also be 2 percent by weight of dry aggregates.

Providing skirting to internal walls to 15 cm height / risers of steps with cement concrete floor tiles of 25 mm thick length equal to flooring stones, set over base coat of CM (1:3) 12 mm thick with cement slurry of honey like consistency spread at the rate of 3.30 kgs per sq.m and jointed with white cement paste mixed with pigment of matching shade to full depth, including cost and conveyance of all materials like tiles, cement, sand and water etc., complete for finished item of work. High strength cement concrete plain step tiles with edge half rounded and grooved confirming to IS:13801 using aggregates, cement, pigments of regular colour, design and of 25 mm thickness.
Supply of Hot dipped Galvanized Iron Chain link mesh 8 gauge - (4.0 mm) as per IS: 2721-1979 including the cost and conveyance and all incidental charges, etc., complete as directed during execution. The chain link mesh shall have a zinc coating of type 'heavy' with mass of coating 290 gm/sqm as per IS:4826-1979 (Reaffirmed 2001) Table.1. The mesh shall be provided with heavily coated galvanizede line wires of 4.50 dia. as given in Table.1 of IS:2721-2003.3"x3" (76 mm x 76 mm) - 8 Gauge ( 4mm)
Providing and fixing precast concrete blocks (interlocking pavers) using not lessthan M40 grade paver blocks and thickness not less than 80 mm for medium traffic areas conforming to IS 15658-2006 of all shapes and designs as per the specification, over sand bed of 20 mm to 40 mm (30 mm average) thickness and compacting with vibrating plate compactor having 3 tonne compaction force there by forcing part of sand underneath to come up in between joints. final compaction of paver surface to be done after spreading and brushing the fine sand into joints to its final level. The work includes cost of all materials such as interlocking pavers, sand etc., Labour and equipments such as cutting machine, lift, loading & unloading to work site clearing, bringing required all materials for the successful completion of work as per drawings and Technical Specification Clause 1504 MORD and as directed during execution by the Engineer-in- charge of the work.
Note: Thickness of interlocking pavers and underlaying sand bed shall be as per the Table 1 of IRC SP:63-2004 based on the traffic and type of road. The data can be worked out accordingly. i.e., 1.Cycle tracks and truck parkings areas and 4.Arterial streets etc., ii. The base and sub-base over which interlocking pavers are to be laid shall also be as per the Table-1 of IRC SP 63-2004 based on the traffic and type of road/ground surfaces.
