Surface dressing n. exc 15 cm in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil including disposal of soil to a distance not exceeding 50 Mts etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Item No. 1 here-in-before but in hard/dense soil complete.
Clearance of jungle in proposed alignment for compound wall/structure including cutting of bushes any girth, shrubs, trunks, stump roots, branches of trees, grass weed including required excavation, removal and disposal of unserviceable materials and rubbish to a distance not exceeding 50 Mts etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer- in-Charge.
Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) in any type of soil each n exc 0.5 Cu.m., getting out, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around in layers n exc 25cm, watering and removing surplus soil with in premises as directed and making good surface complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer- in-Charge.
Excavation over areas n. exc. 1.5m deep for foundations, beams, Pile caps and getting out in soft /loose soil complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Item No. 5 here-in-before but in soft/ disintegrated rock complete.
Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.5m wide and n. exc.1.5m in depth for foundations, pile cap, beams, shafts, wells, manholes, pier holes, laying of under ground cables or pipe etc., n exc 10 sq m on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Item No. 7 here-in-before but exc.1.5m and up to 3.00m in depth complete.

Removal of excavated material to a distance n. exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & labour for drilling or boring 800mm nominal dia. bored cast-in-situ piles, through any or all types of strata i.e soft/loose soil, stiff clay, gravel, cobble stone, compact moorum, soft conglomerate or loose boulders, disintegrated rock, weathered rocks etc., (except hard rock for socketing depth) upto top of socketing depth/founding depth by adopting DMC (Direct Mud Circulation) method with perennial water and disposal of drilling/bored materials to a distance n.exc 50m. and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Notes for Item Nos. 12 to 13 :- (i) The depth of boring for piles shall be measured from existing ground/sea bed level/river bed top (as per soundings/reduced levels taken at the commencement of work) to the approved founding level. (ii) It shall be ensured that the waste drilled or bored material is pumped off from the premises to locations shown by GE by contractor at his own cost. The distance mentioned in description of item shall be the shortest distance from the centre of the building. (iii) Blank (iv) The contractor may use any approved method as approved by GE for boring without any extra cost to the Govt. The rates for boring of piles shall be inclusive of any method/ casing that may be used by the contractor for bored piles. Nothing extra shall be paid. (v) The rates quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive of the rates for the shifting and setting up of piling rig as many times as required.
Carrying out initial load tests on test piles in land as per standard procedure laid down in IS-2911 by static load test method including compressive strength including construction of test cap, dismantling the cap after the test and clearing the site and maintaining complete records of load settlements etc. as specified and directed by GE and submission of reports for a test load of 2.50 times of design load (Design load 55 MT) in non-working areas in the vicinity, including the cost of new piles for 800mm dia with specification as same as working pile etc all as specified and directed.
All as per Item No. 14 here-in-before but 600mm nominal dia. for a test load of 2.50 times of design load (Design load 55 MT).
Carrying out routine load test (working pile) in land as per standard procedure given in IS-2911 (Part IV) 1985 by static test method for 800mm dia. Piles for a test load of 1.50 times of design load (Design load 55 MT) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge
M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40mm graded Granite stone aggregate) as in foundation filling, mass concrete and underneath pile caps, beams, plinth protection etc. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40mm graded Granite stone aggregate) as in foundation filling, mass concrete and underneath pile caps, beams, plinth protection etc. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for Providing, cement concrete (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20mm graded granite stone aggregate) in lintels upto 1.5m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs, surface channel benching/ haunching and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
M&L for reinforced cement concrete (Ready mix concrete) by design mix M-40 grade (Using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in bore holes using Portland slag cement and admixture conplast SP-430 A2 or equivalent for piles in tremie method including necessary dewatering, formwork, concrete mixed in RMC plant, transporting, placing, compacting, vibrating etc., complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes :- (i) Design mix shall be as per IS-456-2000 and max size of aggregate shall not exceed 20mm and the slump shall be 150 to 180mm. (ii) Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately. (iii) Unit rate shall be deemed to include interalia for preliminary design mix, works test cubes as specified. (iv) Minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg/ Cu.m. of concrete for M40 (Piles) using Portland slag cement with minimum slag content of 50% (fifty percent) which ever is higher.
M&L for reinforced cement concrete of grade M-40 (Design mix using 20mm graded stone aggregate) using ready mix concrete including supply and mixing of admixtures, as in foundations, including rafts, footings, foundation beams, plinth beams, bases for columns, pile caps, suspended floor beams & slabs, plinth protection, basement slabs, under-reamed piles etc. using Portland slag cement and handling, conveyance, errection with alignment in true position complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per item No. 22 here-in-before but as in columns, Pillars, piers, vertical bands, posts and struts etc complete.
All as per item No. 22 here-in-before but as in floor beams, brace beams, roof beams, cantilevers, bressumers, middle beams, lintels over 1.5m span and lintel bands etc complete.

Notes for item Nos. 22 to 28 (i) Minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg/Cu.m. of concrete for pile caps, suspended floor beams, slabs and footings, platform (Covered under item No. 22) and cement content shall be 360 Kg/Cu.m. of other concrete items for M-40 using Portland slag cement with minimum slag content of 50% (fifty percent) for items covered under item Nos. 23 to 28 (ii) Design mix shall be as per IS-456-2000. Maximum size of aggregate shall not exceed 20 mm and slump shall be 50mm to 100mm and maximum water cement ratio 0.4. (iii) Unit rate shall be deemed to include for interalia for preliminary design mix and works test cubes. (iv) Reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separately. (v) In case at the time of mix design cement content is increased beyond minimum content given above, no extra payment will be made. (vi) Standard manufactured cover blocks as per IS should be used, Site cast cover blocks shall not be used

Chipping of laitance concrete in piles above cut off level upto a maximum of 1m from cut off level and disposal to a distance exc. 50 m but n. exc. 250 m and depositing where directed.

M&Lfor Mild steel round bars 10mm dia and over, FE-410W(Gde.E250) quality A or Fe290(Gde E-165), cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping , hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clip complete all as specified.
M&L for providing and installing MS liner for bored cast-in-situ concrete piles with necessary stiffeners, driving shoe with continuous welding including cutting, bending welding etc. confirming to Fe 410-W (Gde E-250 Quality A) as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:- (i) Rate shall be inclusive of cutting the liner at cut off level. The rate is deemed to include for cutting, removal and salvage value of the material so obtained. (ii) MS liner shall be driven upto 10m from cut off level. (iii) MS liner will be measured and paid up to the cut off level only of pile. Additional MS liner if used for convenience of construction shall be included in the rates quoted. Nothing extra shall be paid separately on this account.
Supply and fix framed work as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces, etc., complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering. Doors, etc. to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (exclusive of steel sheeting or other covering, running rails and guides) and hanging; also fastening and fixing Gde E-165 (Fe-290) complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
S&F mild steel joist , channel, angle or tee sections fixed independently without connecting plates etc cut to length if required & confirming to Fe 410-W (Gde E-250) quality B complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
S&F MS Plates (plain or chequered) channels, square cut or notched (ordinary and counter sunk) forming holes, without any attachment confirming to Fe-410-W (Gde E-250 quality B) complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
S&F framed works such as grill, gratings etc. with ends of bar shouldered and /or riveted, or forged into spikes, framed guard bar barred ironed doors, ladders, framed balusters walkways, railings, framework of water tanks and similar works confirming to FE-290 Gde. S&F concertina coil fencing with punched tape concertina coil. 610mm dia 7 to 8 coils per running meter, upto 7m height of wall with existing angle iron 'Y' shaped placed 2.4m or 3.00m apart and with horizontal R.B.T reinforced barbed wire, stud tied with GI staples and GI clips -to retain horizontal and including barbed wire 04 nos on each side of 'Y' angle and 02 nos on vertical of 'Y' angle, With necessary 'bolts or GI barbed wire tied to angle iron; with reinforced barbed tape (R.T.B)/ spring core thick wire of high tensile strength of 165kg/Sqmm with tape (0.52mm thick) and Weight 43.478gm/meter (cost of MS angle, CC blocks shall be paid separately) complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes:- (i) After stretching the coil, the length of compound wall on which it has been stretched shall be measured as one RM. (ii) Provn of 'Y' shaped MS angle shall be measured and paid separately.
S&F Galvanised 2 strand, steel barbed wire 2.24mm dia barbed with 2mm dia barbs at 75mm spacing’s and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails straining bolts, including, securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanised mild steel wire, staples or steel pins, etc. as directed. (each line wire to be measured)
S&F PVC coated GI chain link fencing 100mmx100mm aperture, 4mm dia including binding with MS round bar complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: MS round bar shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items
Supply and Fix 25 mm thick bitumastic pad complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for preparing newly plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of cement based paint in camouflage pattern as approved by GE over one coat of primer complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
M&L for preparation of new or previously untreated surfaces of steel or steel based surfaces of any description, not otherwise described, over 10 cm in width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed.
