Repairs to the Waterproofing treatment of the terraces of MCR and other areas of CPP at HWPM

Dismantling of concrete/ brick work including removing and disposing off the dismantled material to dumping yard lead upto 1.05km etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Preparation of roof slab top surface and pretreatment for arresting leakages as detailed below:(i) Cleaning the surface by hard wire brush and light chisseling for making the surface free from dust, other laitance etc., inclduing removal of old waterproofing membrane and hacking the surface as required and as directed by the Engineer (ii)Washing the surface with compressed air, including clearing all the vegetation if any, to make the surface free from any oil, greese, dust etc. complete as direceted by Engineer(iii) Cutting grooves in "V" shape along visible surface cracks in slabs, along the constructions joints, wall slab junctions etc. with cutting machine, cleaning, washing and filling the prepared cracks/ grooves with single compound/ One-part Polyurathane crack filler from CERA/ SIKA/ FOSROC/ Dr Fixit.(iv) Filling local dipressions whereever required with 1:2:4/ Cement mortar 1:3 guaged with LATEX SBR from CERA/ SIKA/ FOSROC after applying a bond coat.(v) After preliminary treatment as above, terrrace area shall be tested for any leakages by spraying adequate water as directed by the Engineer. Any leakages found shall be rectified as directed by the Engineer.(vi) Prepared area shall be got approved by the Engineer-In-Charge for leak proof before taking up further course of water proofing treatment.

Providing all tools, tackles, materials, manpower, machinary for plastering of 18mm thick in two coats, under layer 12mm thick cement plaster 1:5 (1 Cement :5 Coarse sand) and a top layer 6mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (1 Cement :3 Coarse sand) finished rough with spong, cement mortar for both coats guaged with waterproofing compound conforming to IS:2645 as per manufacturers recommendations, including applying base coat of cement slurry @ 2.75kg/sqm mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in recommended proportions, including hacking of concrete surfaces with pointed tool, scaffolding, finishing, curing forming grooves whereever necessary etc. complete all as per specifications and as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing and applying industrial grade two part polysulphide joint sealant of FOSROC/ SIKA/ PIDILITE make for selaing the construction/ expansion joints of depth 6.4 to 12.5mm etc., complete all as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Providing Water proofing with APP(Atactic Polyproylene Polymer) modified, prefabricated five layer, 3mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non woven polyster matt, SIKA WP shield 103/ IWL (meeting vital parameters like, Tensile strength/ joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23oC as 600/ 450 N/5 CM. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 300/250N. Softening point of membrane > 150oC. Cold flexibility shall be upto -2oC when tested in accordance with ASTM, D-5147).The work shall be carried out as per the instructions of the Engineer-In-Charge and the following operations with all materials, labour, tools and tackles etc. all complete :(i) Applying a coat of bitumen primer on prepared surfaces, applied @ 0.40 ltr/sqm. (primer density at 25oC, 0.87 - 0.89 kg/ltr and viscocity 70 - 160 cps). (ii) Applying First coat of hot applied blown bitumen of grade 85/25 or 90/15 (shall be applide @ 1.45kg/Sqm over the entire area along with APP membrane)(iii) A layer of 3mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane shall be laid by applying hot blown bitumen as above with 10cm overlaps and seal the joints/ overlap using hot blown bitumen as per manufacturer's recommendations.(iv) Applying 2nd coat of hot applied blown bitumen of grade 85/25 or 90/15 @ 1.20kg/Sqm over APP membrane.Note:(1) All relevant test certificates for the materials shall be supplied by the contractor before starting the work.(2) The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane(3) It may be noted that the contractor shall execute Guarnatee bond in the prescribed format of the department (available in tender document) for a period of Ten years for leak proof function of the structures wherever this water proofing item is executed.(4) All the debris generated during any of the operations shall be dispose to dumping yard with in a lead of 2kms. As directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Removing damaged gola and Providing new gola on terrace along the parapet/chajjas in cement concrete 1:4:2 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand: 2 Stone aggregate 6mm and down gauge) admixed with CERA LATEX SBR of CERA/ SIKA/ FOSROC @ 1kg per bag of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications, by cutting a chase of 50x50 mm in the parapet/ adjoining wall, applying polymer bonding agent CERALATEX SBR of CERA/ FOSROC @ 1 kg per bag of cement shall be mixed with neat cement slurry and applied as bonding coat, filling the chase and making gola with concrete as above, making slope of external face 1:0.75 including finishing the exposed portion with cement mortar 1:3 (1 Cement:3 Fine sand) guaged with water proofing compound as per standard design as directed, curing etc complete including preparing teh surface thoroughly by chipping all loose material/mortar, cleaned with wire brush and coir brush in order to remove all loose and delterious matter, dust et., removal of stone tile/mosaic tile along the parapet to the extent and wherever required, surface preparation including making chases in walls /parapet by manual/mechanical means without damaging the structure including removing debris etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer In Charge.

Providing and laying 40mm thick plain cement concrete of grade 1:2:4 (1 Cement : 2 Coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate using 20 mm nominal size) and finished with a floating coat of neat cement, laid in panels, to maintain required level and slope including provisions of chequered finishing, curing etc., all complete as per drawings specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
