| 1 | Cleaning and maintaining the sewage system for the entire Technical Area of Air Force Station Halwara and allied establishments which consists of IWCs, EWCs, WHB, sinks, bottle traps, Nahani traps, floor traps, soil/waste/vent pipes of various dia connected to sanitary fittings/traps and/or running on external walls of buildings of any height, in sunken floors, burried in trenches of any depth including junctions, Manholes of any description (any size/depth) and under ground sewage/sullage lines of any sizes/dia upto the final drop outlet into septic tank/soak well/Manhole of central sewage system, in running/flowing condition without disturbance or damages to existing system including removing all types of blockages in above mentioned sanitary fittings/traps/sewage lines/man holes in any position as and when occures and ensuring free flow of the sewage/sullage from the point of origin to the final disposal end and disposal of the sludge/waste materials removed from above mentioned sanitary fittings/traps/sewage lines outside defence land without causing any nuisence to Air Force community/civil public and in confirmity with the regulations of local authorities, without any extra cost to Govt, during the currency of the contract. | 1.01 | (a) Sufficient man power shall be detailed on all days including Sundays and holidays for the above mentioned job during the entire contract period. In case, additional man power is necessiated for completion of any job, the contractor shall provide required man power without any extra cost. The supervisor shall report to JE in charge of the work daily by 09 hrs and 14 00 hrs to receive the complaints and other details of works to be done. The workers and supervisor shall leave the primeses only on completion of the jobs assigned for the day / 17 30 hrs which ever is later and the supervisor shall return the job card daily to the JE and will give a brief of the works done before leaving.
Notes :-The quoted rate of contractor shall include for :-
(i) Contractor shall provide sufficient number of Safaiwala daily for attending and completing the complaints received from users. The numbers of Safaiwala may be increased as directed by Engir-in-Charge depending upon the requirements/ number of complaints registered at the complaint center to rectify the same within a day.
(ii) The complaints pertaining to sewage cleaning and opening of blockage etc. against serial item No 1.00 shall be attended and completed within 24 hours after lodging/ receipt of complaints. Contractor shall ensure that all the complaints shall be attended and completed within above prescribed schedule/ time period, failing which, a penalty at the rate of 1000 RS per complaint would be imposed. The decision of Accepting Officer regarding penalty shall be final and binding. | - | - | - | - |
| 1.02 | (iii) Necessary transportations, tools, plants, ladders, cleaning rods / Bamboos, etc. including to complete the jobs/complaints shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the department and cost thereof shall deemed to be included in quoted rates by the contractor .
(iv) Protective clothing ie hand glooves, cleaning rods, masks, rope and safety tools/equipement shall be provided by the contractor.
(v) The cointractor shall provide insurance of workers against accident/electric shock/gas poisoning/any mishap etc before engaging them on work and Engr-in-Charge shall verify the same befor engaging the workers on work and nothing is admisible to the contractor on this account. | - | - | - | - |
| 2 | Dewatering/desludging of septic tanks any size upto 25 Users by Mechanical means (Sewage Sucking Machine/Vehicle) and disposal off the same out side the defence area without causing any nuisence to Air Force community/civil public and in confirmity with the regulations of local authorities, with out any extra cost to Govt, complete all as specified and directed.
Note :-
1. For measurement of cubic content of sludge please refer PS Clause No 22.
2. Work shall be carried out in foul conditions. After dewatering, sewage systems shall be allowed to dry .
3. Sewage/ sullage shall be removed in closed container mounted on vehicle.
4. Work shall be carried out as and when required.
5. Work will done only when one supervisor is present at site who will be responsible for ensuring safety of the labours engaged.
