Applying priming coat on steel work consisting of genuine red lead mixed with linseed oil and turpentine oil in equal proportions. (Note:- First quality paint of reputed make firm such as Goodlass-Nerolac, Berger, Garware, Jenson, Nicholson, Asian & Shalimar Shall be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge in writing, Drum of paint shall be opened in presence of Engineer-in-charge). Painting two coats excluding priming coat with ready mixed paint for metallic surfaces in all shades on new steel or iron work. (Note:- First quality paint of reputed make firm such as Goodlass-Nerolac, Berger, Garware, Jenson, Nicholson, Asian & Shalimar Shall be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge in writing, Drum of paint shall be opened in presence of Engineer-in-charge). (HSR 16.17).
Preparation of plastered surfaces for oil bound distemper including sand papering the surface, applying one coat of linseed oil, and filling with approved quality filler, consisting of white lead, linseed oil, varnish and chalk mittii including finishing Preparation of plastered surfaces for oil bound distemper including sand papering. Factory- manufactured paneled door or glazed window, shutters of commercial hard wood, such as hollock, champ, chikrassy and chaplash, etc., (non-coniferous timber other than teak, conforming or I.S. specification no. 1003, kiln-seasoned), with 100 mm wide vertical styles, 150 mm wide lock rail 200 mm wide bottom rail and 100 mm wide other rails, with panels of 15 mm thick, tongued and grooved of commercial hard wood and including cost of iron hinges, screws, chocks/cleats, stops, nails etc., complete, fixed in position (excluding the cost of any fittings, other than specified above, but including labour for fixing the same in position)- (HSR 17.90) (b) 35 mm thick (HSR 17.90) (b))
