Testing of water as per table 1 Organoleptic and physical parameters of IS - 10500-2012 in a Govt approved laboratory all as specified and directed. Note :- Quality of water shall be tested (routine test) and test certificate to prove the potability of water issued by a Govt approved laboratory shall be produced by the contractor. The water shall be tested for essential characteristics, Bacteriological examination for routine test as laid down in IS : 10500-2012 and conform to the requirements. Note :- (i) Sample of water shall be taken jointly once in a month by the representative of Engineer-in-Charge and contractor from any of the pump houses of Naval Base and Kataribagh Area on the guide lines given by Engr-in-Charge

Attending any type of leakage/shortage/overflow in water supply Pumping lines laid at various locations inside Kataribagh and Naval Base area for detection of nature of defect including carry out minor repairs to make the pumping line functional complete all as specified and directed Notes :- (a) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the elements of labour only for arresting the leakage and making the pumping line functional for minor repair releasing air locks, checking closed valves any, etc. If replacements of pipe/items is required to make the supply line functional, the cost of labour and material for the same shall be measured and paid as "Supply & fix/Material & labour in repairs" under relevant items of this schedule. (b) If leakage/shortage of water shall not be attended & rectified in the same day as received by the contractor except major break down, the recovery will be made @ Rs 500/- per breakdown per day and after 15 days of non functional of any pumping line, as specified for any reason, the recovery will be made @ 2000/- per day till the distribution line functional

Cutting the existing road/hardstand/concrete blocks/slabs/brick work or stone masonry of any type by using crow bar chisel up to a depth of 30 cm for laying GI pipe including making good the disturbed surface by returning filling watering ramming in layers cold mix bitumen over 200 mm thick hard core of broken bricks/stones over returning filling watering ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for MS Plates (plain or chequered) channels, square cut or notched (ordinary and counter sunk) forming holes, without any attachment any size for making cover for valve pits including nuts,bolts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts, in any shape of size as indicated or directed and inclusive of one primer coat one under coat and one finishing coat of synthetic enamel paint (Black colour) including taking out old corroded plates complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 1.2 x1.2 x 0.9 Mtrs (internal dimensions) including excavation and earth work in any type of soil, PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 in foundation brick work in CM 1:4, 15mm thick plastering in CM 1:4 internally and flush pointing externally in same mortar as the work process angle iron frame work 40X40X6mm, with 6mm thick MS sheet cover with 12 mm dia handle and locking arrangement (including lock and two Keys) and two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer including demolition of old valve pits complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and replace unserviceable water pressure gauge MS of dial size 2.5 inch any type of capacity 0 to 300 psi Including necessary GI pipe connection of existing size complete as per existing all as specified and as directed .

Material and labour for repairing of existing brick masonry of valve chamber of size (0.9mx0.9mx0.9m) to (1.2mx1.2mx0.9m) 50% (approx) including opening of valve cover,dewatering and cleaning the chamber thoroughly, cleaning and removing rust from valve body and moving parts using wire brushes/ emery paper.chamber repair work to inner walls/floor including removal of debris and plastering with CM 1:4, 15 mm thick. painting of visible surfaces of chamber with two coats of cement-based waterproof paint.sheet cover and frame shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint as per prescribed colour over a coat of red oxide primer including necessary surface preparation. Replacement of damaged locking arrangements,hinges,handle,(12mm dia) and fixing new lock with two keys if required. All tools,equipment,consumables,paints,labour and materials required shall be included.Work to be completed as per site condition and as directed.
