"Excavation of trench as per cable route plan, Kilometre 1.2 mtr deep,300 mm wide at the bottom along railway track in normal soil. This work includes covering of cables laid in trenches by loose excavated soil for a layer of 50 mm thickness approximately, before covering by shahabad stone/ bricks / half RCC pipe,clearing of route, bushes etc. and refilling of the trench byexcavated soil. Generallythere shall be no proportionate payment forcable at depth lesser than that specified in the tenderschedule. If it is not possible to reach the required depth atany location, then the contractor shall obtain priorapproval of Railway Engineer at site, who shall first get thedispensation, from Dy.CSTE vide letter No. 2013/Sig/SEMPt.- II/Misc., dated 12.06.2014 of Railway board and only then shall the proportionate payment bemade to the contractor. Cable trench shall be as per Drg. NoS&T/CON/KOTA/Cable Trenching/02 (based on Drg.No. SDO/Cable laying/ 003 dt 31.10.2011). For achieving1.2 m depth for the bottom most cable, the contractor shall dig the trench to a depth, slightly more than1.2m to take care of practical problems. Laying of cables is covered in separate item."
Excavation of trench as per cableroute plan, Kilometre 1 mtr deep, 300mmwide at the bottom along main linein hard soil / murrum, This workincludes covering of cable laid intrenches by loose soil for a layer of50 mm thickness approximatelybefore covering by bricks.
"Preparation of cable duct 150mm x 300mm Metre deep for laying of cables in rocky area and refilling the duct (after cable laying) with concrete mixture of proportion 1:3:6 and grouting the ends at either side of the rocky portion using concrete mixture with contractors own cement and other materials. Cable trench shall be as per Drg. No. Dy.CSTE/C/Kota/07/A. Laying of cables is covered in separate item"

Installation of 2T derivation joint for jointing Numbers of Jelly filled cable using thermo -shrinkable jointing kit
Fabrication of EC socket box, assembly and Numbers erection of fabricated assembly at the location indicated in the route chart and as per direction of Engineer in-charge. This includes cutting of rails to required size, supply and welding of GI pipe and base plate, fixing of EC socket box, transportation of material to site, digging of pit and erection of whole assembly at site. The work also includes the termination of 6-Quad/PIJF derivation cable on the strips of 6 -pin EC socket inside emergency socket box, The fabrication of EC Socket box shall be done as per Drg. No.SK/CSTE/C/97/16 & SK/CSTE/C/97/20. Rail post will be supplied free of cost at the SSE (Tele) depot in full lengths. Note- In addition to above, the center pins of EC sockets shall be terminated with a dedicated pair of 6-Quad cable (derived through the tail PIJF cable) in the entire block.
Fixing of EC sockets complete with Numbers termination of 6-Quad /PIJF derivation cable on the strip of 6-pin EC socket inside the EC socket box on a good quality laminated boards at SM building, cabins, Sub stations, tunnels and wherever necessary as per instructions of the engineer in charge at site. The work includes painting of the metallic portion of the socket assembly using black enamel paint.
Laying of All types of Signal/ telecom/ power Kilometre cable of various cores/sizes in trenches. The work shall be done as per extant practice followed on W.C.Railway and as per the instructions of Railway Engineer at site.
