Biennial rate contract for desilting of shiplift pit and winch pockets at ISRF

Mobilization & demobilization charges for suitable plant and machinery such as sand pumps, toyo pumps with agitators, dredger pumps etc. for dredging /desilting the shiplift pit and winch pockets including floating pipeline for discharging slurry, other tools and tackles, manpower etc. complete in all respects for one instance. Note : 1) 50% of quoted lumpsum rate shall be paid at the time of mobilization of required entire plant & machinery, manpower at site. Remaining 50% of quoted lumpsum rate shall be paid on successful completion of one instance of work and demobilization of entire plant & machinery from site including handing over site back in original condition to CSL.

Dredging/desilting of ship lift pit and winch pocket areas at ISRF to levels specified in CSL notice on handing over of site by CSL as per drawing including disposing off the dredged material outside baffle wall area at MES-2 including all plant & machinery, underwater diving charges, fuel charges, utilities, manpower, survey charges, other tools and tackles, insurance costs and all other incidental expenditures etc. all complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note : 1) Maximum depth of desilting envisaged under this contract is -11m CD. Plant and machinery shall be capable of desilting upto -11m CD 2) The quantity specified is indicative assuming two instances of desilting in a year 3) 1st Desilting operation - The initial desilting operation is to be completed within 3 months from the date of initial handing over of site by CSL. The payment shall be made on the basis of total insitu quantity dredged in the area as per joint sounding taken by CSL and contractor at the time of handing over the site and on successful completion of work. 4) Maintainence desilting - Subsequent maintainence desilting shall be carried out by the contractor within a notice period of 15 days and desilting to required level shall be acheived within a period of 2 months from the date of handing over of site by CSL. The payment shall be made on the basis of total insitu quantity dredged in the area as per joint sounding taken by CSL and contractor at the time of handing over the site and on successful completion of work each instance. Note: 1) Total contract period is for two year. Performance of the contractor during contract period of two years shall be assessed by CSL. If the performance of the contractor is found satisfactory, Engineer-in-charge, CSL at his discretion and based on work requirements retains the right to extend the contract period by additional one year at the same quoted rates and terms and conditions of contract. 2) Price adjustment for diesel alone shall be applicable.
