Construction of Pile and Slab Bank Protection between Thykoodam Bridge and Chambakara Bridge in NW-3.

Site clearance by cutting and removing the grass, bushes, all obstructions etc., from the top surface and disposal of the same as and when directed by the Engineer.

Removal of old P & S bank protection and existing paver block laid footpath and existing drainages, kadavu etc., including stacking of reusable materials like garden chairs, lam posts etc. within 500 m to the proposed site and disposal of unserviceable materials away from the site, without throw into canal as per directions of E - I -C. The rate shall include cost of hiring of machineries and plants, transportation of serviceable materials like pile, slab, anchor rod (if any) and labour charges etc. complete.

Earth work in cutting river bank in all types of soil in required profile and removing the roots, grass and shrubs and disposal of the excavated material at suitable places as directed by Engineer, including all lifts and leads.

Earth work in filling in required profile in selected soil obtained from the approved borrow pit or any other source, free from logs, stumps, roots rubbish, etc. and placing the earth in layers not exceeding 225mm in thickness levelling dressing watering, ramming and consolidating by approved means to the required profile under the direction of the Engineer, including all leads & lifts etc., complete.

Supply and making of concrete square piles of approved quality of size 300mm x 300mm of required length including all fittings and fixtures etc. as shown in drawing for driving at site, etc. all complete as per approved designed and direction of Engineer except cost of reinforcement & form work.

Providing, hoisting and fixing pre-cast reinforced cement concrete slabs (first lower slab, then middle finally the top slab and anchor slab). Complete including temporary shuttering for placing in position etc., all complete except cost of reinforcement & form work.

Reinforcement for pre-cast concrete work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete HYSD bars.

Centering & Shuttering for casting of pre-cast piles & slabs including strutting, proping and removal of formwork

Provide and bring to the site necessary plant equipment for driving 300mm x 300mm square pre-cast vertical piles in position to complete the work within the time schedule.

Extra for driving of pre-cast pile of size 300 x 300 mm at the location as certified by EIC including all labour with already mobilised equipment
