NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE (a) The contractor shall obtain sample approval for all materials for incorporating in the work as per condition 10 of IAFW-2249 and Para-12 of Special Conditions of tender document mentioned here-in-after. (b) The GE may direct the contractor in writing to procure and deposit up to 80% of the material required for the complete scope of work. The decision shall be final and binding on the contractor. (c) The contractor shall deposit the procured material under intimation to GE to the store of concerned subdivision within 30 days from the receipt of written direction. Failure to do so shall result in a penal recovery of Rs 2000/- per week, levied on the dues of contractor, maximum up to 10% of the work done/CA Amount whichever is higher. (d)The contractor shall obtain approval of “Qualified Tradesman” as per condition 26 of IAFW-2249 before commencement of work at site and shall have sufficient manpower such as plumber, welder, helper etc readily available to meet the site requirement during emergency situation as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge/GE

NOTES(Contd---) (e)The breakdown/Leakeges should be attended well within time mentioned here-in-after from the time of intimation (through Verbal/Site Order/Written) by the Engineer-in-Charge/GE, failing which a penal recovery of Rs 500/- per hour shall be deducted from contractors dues: Size of Pipe Time limit to attend Breakdown & Completion Upto 50mm 6 Hrs 50mm-100mm 8 Hrs More than 100mm 12 Hrs (f) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of cost of necessary Tools, Plants, Safety Equipments, Machinery, Arrangements of Manual Dewatering/Dewatering pumps and Temporary lighting arrangements for work during night time etc as per site requirement. (g) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of cost for necessary scaffolding for working upto 9th floor level of multi-storyed Buildings under AoR of GE (U-II).

Material and labour for 63 mm dia instantaneous Male & Female Coupling stainless steel as per IS:903. including taking down unserviceable coupling of any description, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for stainless steel hand controlled Nozzle hydraulically crimped to hose with metal crimping, Spray and Shut off functions, Operating at 10 bar working pressure, with 20mm diameter including taking down unserviceable nozzle of any description, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for PCC (1:3:6) type C2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as a base foundation for the pipe lines including one coat of white wash and necessary form work complete all as specified. Note:- The quoted rates shall be inclusive of removing the damaged PCC base foundation, levelling surface as directed.

S & F in repair single hydrant stand post made of MS pipe of size 80 mm bore heavy grade, 1.50 m height with 90°, duck foot bend both end flanged and including welding if required to suit single/ double fire hydrant valve and testing, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down & refixing the old fire hydrant valves of size 63/80mm dia from hydrant post and removing the corrosion, changing the damaged pins from pivot end, softening the shaft of iron wheel and applying the greese for lubrication of fire hydrant valves, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The quoted rates shall be inclusive of Nut & Bolts, rubber gaskets and other connected items.

Repair/ maintenance of fire hose box by changing of damaged doors along with locking arrangements, front glass of existing size, PCC foundation and necessary rubber gaskets for doors complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- The quoted rate shall be inclusive of one coat red-oxide paint, paint red and inside clean white paint and numbering of box as directed.

Material and labour for ISI marked non-percolating flexible firefighting delivery hose of length 15 meters, synthetic fiber circular woven jacketed, bearing IS:636-2018, 63 mm dia, complete with stainless steel instantaneous male & female coupling (IS:903), and Copper Wire binding including taking down unserviceable firefighting delivery hose of any description, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Swinging Hose reel Type-A, Wall Mounted with 180° swing, specifications as per IS-884: latest revision made of high quality mild steel, powder coated in red colour, Hub width approx 230 mm, Maximum operating pressure 10 bar, Flow rate 22.5 lpm at 7 bar pressure including taking down unserviceable hose reel drum of any description, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for Overhauling to Jockey pump set and motor 20 HP to 35 HP as per the original assembly after replacing the worn out unserviceable parts,including cleaning replacing the bearings for both pumps & motors including packing bolts, nuts washers and MS clamps etc and applying one coat of approved enamel paint on exposed steel surface, making the pump and motor fully serviceable including machine work etc and testing the both after refixing and commissioning for satisfactory operation on its full load, complete all as specified and directed.

Labour only for thorough checking of existing automatic fire fighting pump set control system for serviceability of each and every component such as Pressure switches, sensors, gauges, PLC system, electromagnetic power relay, contactors, OLR, Timer, preventor, control wiring, panel accessories etc complete and identifying and replacing the defective components for satisfactory functioning of automatic fire fighting control panel based on pressure sensing in the fire mains by deploying qualified and experienced technician in the relevant field, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Spare parts required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of BOQ. However, cost of minor spare parts costing up to Rs. 1500/- shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Material and labour for Supply, installation and testing of LED flex Glow Sign Board for frontlit office / installation boards prints stretched on a metal frame, where the sun or the ambient light lends visibility to the board complete comprising of the following components with below given detailed specifications including taking down of existing unserviceable office / installation sign board of any description, complete all as specified and directed:- (i) Metal Frame / Box: The base structure of board should be made of a metal frame in the form of a box of 6 – 8 inches deep and the width and the height and shape of the frame are as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge by using 0.5 – 0.75 inch thick, metal pipes to fabricate the box. (ii) Tin Sheet / Patra: The above box should be wrapped by a tin sheet or ‘patra’ on the back and the sides in a standard black or white colour as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) LED tubes as a Source of Light: LED tubes as the source of light for GSB, fitted inside the box. Qty of LED tubes shall be as per the manufacturers recommendations based on the size of GSB decided by Engineer-in-Charge.

(Item No 63.00 Contd--) iv) Brackets to Hold the Board in Place: Completed board shall be fitted on wall / metal structure with suitable shaped brackets, nuts, bolts and washers etc and GI wires as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Printed Star Flex: The office / installation board design / art work shall be as per sample given by GE / Engineer-in-Charge printed on a specialised media known as Backlit Star Flex 350 GSM with UV ink prints / Eco Solvent ink prints layered in a double strike. This print should has the following characteristics:- Flex is a printable roll of plastic with a cloth like weave on the back. The front surface should specially coated to receive inkjet inks. Print should be waterproof, scratch-resistant and fade-resistant. The denier or the weave on the back lends strength to the print. The weave and printable top layer of backlit flex should be translucent. It should allow light to pass through and when this happens, the print on top gets a very beautiful glow. ‘Star’ is a premium brand of flex. Prints on Star flex have a very high resolution extremely vibrant colours.

Material and labour for sun boards or foam boards for offices / installations made of 3 mm-thick foam with a smooth matte printing surface in customisable design templates in any size and shape and printing the details as provided by Engineer-in-Charge as per his directions. The printing shall be done using digital technology that should give the sun board a sharp and professional look. The Vinyl sun boards should have a stiff property with good protection against direct sunlight to avoid colour fading & cracking, resulting in good shelf life. including MS frame as per site condition, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- (a) The quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of transportation to site and fixing with suitable fixing accessories complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (b) The measurement of the completed board shall be measured in square feet. (c) Quoted rate shall be inclusive of custom printing charges. Taking down carefully existing motor and pump set from the unserviceable bed and taking up the complete MS bed from the PCC and cleaning and levelling the bed including new PCC work including with fabrication of new MS bed by using new MS work with foundation bolts and nuts suitable for mounting/re-erecting the pump and motor after necessary minor repairs complete with two coats of existing colour painting over a coat of red oxide and testing and commissioning up to satisfaction levels, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for servicing of LT panels of any size by cleaning the panel, bus bar chamber with CTC solution, and welding the door using arc welding and fixing hinges, necessary nut and bolts, washers and made it completely functional for open/ close including painting of panel by spraying with two coats of epoxy based paint over a coat of red oxide primer, after cleaning of rusty panel surface both inside/ outside by emery paper and necessary preparation of smooth surface suitable for painting and including checking of incoming and outgoing connections, Re-fixing of existing ACBs & MCCBs, testing & commissioning, connected PCC & frame works, rewiring of control and power wiring with suitable size of FRLS copper cable but not less than 1.5 Sqmm, replacing of various unserviceable ON/ OFF switches, lugs etc making the panel fully functional, complete all as specified and as directed.

Surface dressing in soft/loose soil not exeeding 15 cm deep, across the pipe lines and including site clearence, cutting and cleaning of branches / bushes / plants / grass obstructing the pipe lines / valves / chambers / sumps / OHTs on either sides and water supply Installation area including disposal of materials up to a distance not exceeding 50 m, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

SCHEDULE OF CREDIT Note :- Amount of Rs. 2,06,400.00 indicated in Tender Documents as Schedule of Credit shall be deducted from the total quoted amount of BOQ.
