The Colony Counter shall be of automatic type The machine shall be capable of reading all automatically different types and sizes of plates with the same instrument. The colony counter will have following features mandatorily; 1. The colony counter will be of Utmost accuracy. There will be uniform reflection with spherical chamber. , 2- With the help of the software, it must be capable of detecting wide range of colony types., 3 - The software will have user management and audit trail. 4- Software will be capable of detecting colonies of 0.3 mm., 5- Analysis time will be less than 10 seconds, 6-Software: The software is designed to filter and classify colonies by colors and diameters. It will be able to count colonies in spiral distribution and will also distinguish colonies on challenging backgrounds. The software can distinguish overlapped colonies. Software will have following features also; 1- Automatic calibration and verification., 2- LIMS interface, 3- Statistical reports and lab report generation with DJB logo 4- Image and data export, 5- Audit trail Technical specifications: The light source shall be LEDs and oriented to the internal wall of a moving spheric chamber and comes from above and/or below the chamber. The result is an unprecedent uniform and reflection free illumination in the colony counter device. The moving sphere must automatically close the chamber and prevents the area from any external light.
