SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR THE WORK CONSTRUCTION OF ONE SUITE FOR MES INSPECTION BUNGALOW AT VISAKHAPATNAM

Amount

(1) Mobilisation of equipment for detailed soil investigation and shifting them from one location to other location of boreholes and for in site tests (For 1 bore hole). (2) Boring holes 150mm dia in any type of soil, but excluding any type of rock upto a depth as directed by Engineer-in-Charge for conducting following activities (1 bore hole upto minimum depth of refusal not exc 10m deep):- (a)Conduct of SPT at every 1.5m interval or change of strata whichever occurs earlier. (b)Collection of undistrubed soil samples (UDS) at every 1.5m interval or change of strata whichever occurs earlier ( a minimum gap of 500mm shall be ensured between SPT and collection of UDS). (3)Conduct of following laboratory tests as per relevant Indian Standards (IS 2720 (all parts), IS 1498 and IS 3025) on soil samples collected:- (a)Test on disturbed / undisturbed soil samples: (i) Visual and Engineering classification : (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole). (ii) Sieve analysis and hydrometer analysis : (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole) (iii) Atterberg limits (liquid limit, plastic limit and shrinkage limit): (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole). (iv) Specific gravity : (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole). (v) Free swell index: (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole). (b)Test on undisturbed soil samples: (As reqd basis, not exceeding 10 Nos per bore hole): (i) Bulk density and moisture content. (ii) Unconfined compression test (on undisturbed and remoulded sample). (iii) Swelling pressure (on undisturbed and remoulded sample). (iv) Determination of C & o values using Direct shear (drained/undrained) (on remoulded or undisturbed sample) or Triaxial compression tests (on undisturbed or remoulded sample) or Vane shear test.

(4)Chemical analysis of soil samples one each from each strata in respect of one borehole. If different strata (s) encountered in any other borehole additional soils samples to be analysed. (5)Submisssion of report consisting of bore logs, data sheets with laboratory test results nd recommendations for the type of foundation for construction of structures in case where pile foundation area is recommended vertical, uplift and lateral load capacity of piles to be clearly mentioned/brought out in the report duly vetted by any of IIT/NIT/Andhara University. Note : The above rates are inclusive of all requirements/details given below. Notes :- Composition of subsurface investigation report:- General On completion of the insite and laboratory tests, subsurface investigation report shall be parted which should include geological information, procedure adopted for investigation, filed observation, laboratory or test information to be provided. The report shall be included but not be limited to the following: (a) Dimentional plan shoeing location and depth of in-situ tests; the coordinates of borehole location with reference to prominent permanent features of the site duly signed by GE and Geo consultant. (b) Geological information of the area. (c) General topography of the site, duly marking RL of the location of boreholes with reference to RL of nearby permanent features available at site duly signed by GE. (d) Past usage and historical data of the site, if available information regarding flooding of the site in the past, high flood level etc.

(e) Bore-log and trial pit log duly signed by GE and Geo consultant. (f) In-situ test results. (g) Plot of standard penetration test (N values both uncorrected and corrected) with depth for identified areas. (h) Laboratory test results. (j) Summary of strata profile 1(A) Structural consultancy job for subject work:- Ground Floor (a) Bed Room (2Nos) - 5m x 5m (b)Wash room(2Nos) - 3m x 2m (c) Drawing/Dinning - 8m x 3m (d) Reception - 4m x 4m (e) Staircase portion - 5m x 2m First Floor (a) Bed Room (1No) - 5m x 5m (b)Wash room(1No) - 3m x 2m (i) Scrutiny of soil investigation report and reporting inconsistencies if any. Site visit for understanding topography and other features critical to structural design. Submission of FEM Model using design software STAAD PRO connect Edition Version 22.10.0.153 (Latest version or higher) with load chart for entire Structural components and DBR for approval. (ii) Preparation of tables reflecting forces and moments all members against all load combinations as applicable for limit state of strength and limit state of serviceability. Grouping the members optimally and designing individual group

for limit state of strength and limit state of serviceability. Submission of Structural drawings and complete design folder containing structural analysis and design calculations in respect of entire structural components, viz., foundation, walls, coloumns, beams, slabs etc. The structural drawings shall be signed by competent structural Engineer duly reflecting his/her qualifications, designation, address etc. The structural drawings and design folder shall be vetted by IIT/ NIT/ AndhraUniversity. The vetting shall be done by structural Engineering faculty duly reflecting his/her qualifications. The vetted documents shall be affixed with Institution seal apart from faculty seal. (iii) Incorporation of amendments in structural drawings as and when pointed out with missing details matches / inconsistences up to a period of 3 years from the date of completion of consultancy job Including submission of vetting of amendments by the original vetting Institution in case of major structural Alterations. (B) Preparation and submission of self-sufficent Detailed Architectural Drawings in Auto CAD for the Buildings mentioned in Col. 2 as per sound architectural practices /as per NBC Norms / Zonal Specifications and as per approved conceptua]/]lineplans plans shall be of: (a) RCC Framed structure/Foundation. (b) Roof shall be of RCC. (c) Wall shall be of 200 th PCC block mascnry, partition walls shall be of 100th PCC block masonry. (d) Plinth height 450 mm & ceiling height shall be 3200 mm. (e) Flooring shall be of Vitrified tiling &finishes as per schedule of finishes/ as approved/ as directed.
