Raising and Supplying 6000 numbers of 1 year old seedlings of Forest Trees, Bamboos and Palms specified by the Employer in the Elephant Rehabilitation Center Project Area.

Supply of 6000 numbers of One Year old Seedlings of Forest Tress, Bamboos & Palms

Seedlings of forest trees, bamboos and palms of species specified by the Forest Officer are to be planted in polythene bag of size 40 cm x 60 cm or nearest size and specified wall thickness certified by the Forest Officer; the planting material should be of seed or vegetative origin certified acceptable by the Forest Officer; the seedling should be planted in the polythene bag filled with standard potting mixture containing forest soil, farmyard manure/compost as specified by the Forest Officer; the containers should be neatly arranged in beds of size 12m x 1.2 m. covered with polythene sheets and protected by shade of suitable material; seedlings should be watered twice daily for first thirty days and once daily for the next 30 days of planting followed by watering at least on alternate days subsequently as directed by the Forest Officer; the seedlings should be kept free form weeds always; adequate measured for pest and disease control by spraying insecticide/fungicide ( chemical /organic) should be taken ; nursery should be well protected form animals; the seedlings should be kept vigorously growing all the time for which application of manure (chemical/organic) should be resorted to; the seedlings should be growing vigorously at the time of supply on completion of about 1 year; the average height of seedlings should be not less than 50 cm.
