HPSEBL/PEC/Bhaba/VOITH Runner

The work comprises the major repair and HP-HVOF coating of Voith Runner Sr. No. 187717 for the 3 x 40 MW Bhaba Hydroelectric Project. The scope includes removal of the old residual coating from the inner surface of the runner buckets, restoration of damaged and eroded portions by depositing SS-410 NiMo material through TIG welding, and re-profiling of the buckets by grinding, machining, buffing, and polishing to restore the original hydraulic profile and dimensions. After completion of the repair work, the runner shall undergo stress relieving followed by Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) in accordance with the relevant standards after application of the HP-HVOF coating. The repaired runner shall also be subjected to 1 static and dynamic balancing to ensure smooth and reliable operation. The scope further includes work as per OEM standards and inspection of the repaired runner at the contractor's works/factory by representatives of HPSEBL before dispatch to verify the quality of repairs, coating, testing, and balancing. The work also includes safe to-and-fro transportation of the runner along with comprehensive transit insurance for the entire period of transportation.
