Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system using single spike 17.2mm dia, 3000mm long high tensile low carbon steel circular rod, molecularly bonded with copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness of 250 microns) meeting the requirements of under writers laboratories (UL) 467-2007 or latest with 250mm long copper strips of size (50X3)mm, exothermally welded on top of electrode complete including augering (boring) 100-125mm dia hole as required for electrode in any type of soil and back filling with carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC) compound (with minimum qty 35 Kg per electrode) conforming to IEEE/BS standrads incl pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall be as per users requirement as desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm . At certain locations, it may not be possible to achieve desired earth resistance with one electrode / pit due to higher soil resistivity,in such cases, provision of loop earthing consisting of more than one earth electrode pits shall be done. The number of pits required shall be decided based on the resistivity of soil and resistance achieved for the earth pits already installed. The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres. (iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Additional earth electrode pits and loop conductor shall be measured and paid seperately .(v) The rate quated shall also be included the following elements: (a) Complete earthwork including drilling holes for electrode.(b) Earhing electrode-01 only (c) Backfilling carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC). (d) Pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel. (e) Copper strip as earthing lead of size 50mmx3mm, 250 mm long only, beyond 250mm, other size shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item here -in-after. (f) All labour and T&P required including testing of earth network. (vi) Testing for earth resistance shall be carriedout in presence of GE and Engr-in-charge. (vii) Taking out old earthing system complete. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement on ground.

M and L as in repairs earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode (600mmx600mmx6mm) thick buried directly in gournd (earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 Mtr below normal ground level connected to galvanized Iron strip (32x6) mm as earthing lead upto 7.5 mtrs from testing point fixed by means of steel bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer, of galvanized earth wire protected by 25mm bore medium grade galvanised iron pipe and other end connected to earthing test point including funnel with watering pipe of 20mm bore light grade galvanised iron, wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (Compacted thickness) all around earth electrode with concrete earth pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 50mm thick precast RCC M-20 nominal mix cover slab of size (450mm x 450mm) reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bar 10 cm C/C and suitable handle of 10mm dia round bar including necessary execavation, earth work in soft / loose soil and deposited soil to a distance n.exc 50 M and necessary testing complete all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES shedule of SSR Part-I complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Earth lead beyond 7.50m shall be measure and paid for separately under relevent Item here-in-after.

M & L Copper earth Strip of size (32 x 6)mm for interlinking between earth electrodes and for continuity fixed with wall/ recess/ chases or buried in ground or any indicated position incl brazing of joints complete all as directed. (Note:-Earth work and excavation shall be measured and paid separately)

M&L copper strip with saddles/ insulators for main earthing lead from test point equipments and fixed with wall/recess/chases or buried in ground or any indicated position of size 20 x 3.15 mm including brazing of joints complete all as specified. (Note:-Earth work and excavation shall be measured and paid separately)

M&L galvanised iron Strip of size (32 x 6)mm for interlinking between earth electrodes and for continuity fixed with wall/ recess/ chases or buried in ground or any indicated position incl brazing of joints complete all as directed. M&L test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size (75x75x25)mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hex. Head screw complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long complete all as specified and directed

S&F 40 mm bore galvanized steel tubing, medium grade fixed to poles/Walls etc, for holding Air termination with coupling, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 20 mm bore galvanized steel tubing, medium grade used for watering pipe in conventional earthing pits, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F funnel and wire mesh used for fixing in watering pipe in conventional earthing pits, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair brass bolts, nuts with washer for joinining purpose strips with test terminal block, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L brazing of joints from one end to other end, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in repairs of earthing complete with galvanised iron pipe electrode 40 mm bore ,medium grade 1mtr length ,buried directly and preferably vertically in ground with top edge not less than 1 mtr below groung level connected with earth lead of 4 mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for making concrete earth pit by dismantling old unserviceable concrete earth pits in PCC type C-1 (1:3:6), 50mm thick precast RCC M-20 nominal mix cover slab of size 600mm x 600mm reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bar 10 cm C/C and suitable handle of 10mm dia round bar including necessary execavation, earth work in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Dressing of copper/GI strips of any size with saddles/ insulators by dismantiling of existing and old broken insulators replace with new insulators of existing size from site and making good disturbed surfaces of floors/walls/ceiling etc complete all as directed.

Supply only carbon based ground enhancing compound ( GEC) compound conforming to IEE/BS standards complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) Carbon based ground enhancing compound shall be supplied in packing as per originally packed by the manufacturer. (ii) Material shall be delivered in the store yard of AGE E/M or as directed by AGE E/M and nothing extra shall be payable on this account.

Supply only earthing salt complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) Material shall be delivered in the store yard of AGE E/M or as directed by AGE E/M and nothing extra shall be payable on this account.

Supply only earthing charcoal complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) Earthing charcoal shall be supplied in packing as per originally packed by the manufacturer. Taking down old unserviceable copper/GI strip and GI wire with saddle of any size and type complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down old unserviceable Air termination rod 12mm dia ,300mm long of any size and type complete all specified and as directed.

Taking down test point terminal block of any size and type complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down old unservisable GI steel tubing 20mm bore complete all spcified and as directed

Taking down old unservisable GI steel tubing 40mm bore complete all spcified and as directed

Taking down old unservisable funnel and wire mesh complete all spcified and as directed

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil for removing/laying of pipe line complete all spcified and as directed

Returning, filling in, including spreading,levelling watering and well ramming in layers notexceeding 25 cm in soft/loose soil complete all spcified and as directed

Removing above the starting point excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all spcified and as directed

Taking down carefully copper/ aluminium point wiring (light/fan/bell/ socket or power point) complete inclusive of all fittings such as switches, ceiling roses, pendants, regulators, sockets, fittings etc. removing materials from site and making good disturbed surfaces of floors/walls/ceiling etc complete all spcified and as directed

Disconnecting from electric circuit and taking out existing unserviceable SFUS, MCB DB SPN/ TPN or change over switches etc any number of ways including MCB etc removing materials from site and making good disturbed surfaces of floors/ walls/ ceiling etc complete all spcified and as directed

M&L point wiring complete with 1.5 Sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed multistranded copper conductor FRLS cable 1100 volts grade, single core, drawn through and including stove enamelled steel conduit not less than 20mm dia with all flame proof accessories such as junction box, MS coupling, unions branch, reducers, elbow, sealing conduit etc. including including 1.5 sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed multistranded copper conductor FRLS Cable (green colour) 1100 volts grade, single core as earth continuity conductor connected to common earth dolly for one light point / fan Point controlled by one one way switch complete all spcified and as directed
