Civil Works - Roads and Drains, Mechanical Workshop, Service Station and Light Mast Foundation and Supply and Installation Of Electrics For Mechanical Workshop At FACT Q10 Berth, Willingdon Island, Kochi.

CIVIL WORKS :Demolishing R.C.C. work / brick work manually / by mechanical means including cutting and stacking of steel bars and disposal of unserviceable material within premises of FACT at Willingdon Island as per direction of Engineer in-charge (EiC).

Dismantling steel work in built up sections in angles, tees, flats and channels including all gusset plates, bolts, nuts, cutting rivets, welding etc. including dismembering and stacking within 50 metres lead.

Surface dressing of the ground including removing vegetation and inequalities not exceeding 15cm deep and disposal of rubbish, with in premises of FACT at Willingdon Island and lift up to 1.5m in all kinds of soil.

Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and removal of rubbish to locations pointed out by EiC, with in premises of FACT at Willingdon Island.

Disposal of moorum / building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground for lead up to 30km (to FACT CD) for all lifts, complete as per directions of EiC. Note - Item to be applicable in urban areas having directions for restricted hours for movement / plying of load carrying motor vehicle of 3.5cum or more.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches, in all kinds of soil, including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift up to 1.5m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed by EiC with in premises of FACT at Willingdon Island and close timbering in trenches including strutting, shoring and packing cavities wherever required and bailing out water to keep the excavated trenches suitable for concreting.

Earth work in excavation for all kinds of soil by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5m in width as well as 10sqm on plan including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed with in premises of FACT at Willingdon Island and close timbering in trenches including strutting, shoring and packing cavities wherever required and bailing out water to keep the excavated trenches suitable for concreting.

Providing hard core layer of required thickness using 40mm nominal size graded hard granite broken stones after compacting the underlying soil, spreading and levelling the stones and then spreading a layer of 6mm downgraded crushed aggregates on top of the broken metal layer and it shall be watered in order to force the crushed fine aggregates into the void spaces of the broken stone and repeat the process till all the voids are filled with crushed fine aggregates right up to the edges of hard core layer, including cost of all materials and labour charges etc, complete.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating EA deposited layer by ramming and watering.

Charges for conveying the surplus earth to places approximately 30 kms away (to FACT CD) and dumping at low lying places as directed by the EiC. Note - Item to be applicable in urban areas having directions for restricted hours for movement/ plying of load carrying motor vehicle of 3.5cum or more.

Cement concrete work in 1:4:8 mix (1 Portland Pozzolana cement: 4 coarse river sand/manufactured sand: 8 20mm nominal size graded hard granite broken stones) including all charges for mixing concrete, laying, consolidating, curing, removal of shutters, cost for bailing out of water, oil, liquid mud etc. from all sources in excavated pits, trenches, etc. complete at all levels as per standard specifications but excluding the cost of shuttering, and as directed by the EiC for foundation / levelling course etc. Approved make of materials are furnished in Specific requirements of work.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of grade 1:1½:3 (1 Cement: 1½ coarse sand (zone-III): 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) excluding the cost of centering and shuttering for all works up to plinth level.

Providing and laying in position machine batched and machine mixed design mix M-30 grade cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work, using cement content as per approved design mix, including pumping of concrete to site of laying but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement, including admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of EiC.“(Note :- Cement content considered in this item is @ 340 kg/cum. “Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/recoverable separately) - All works up to plinth level.

Providing and laying in position pre-cast RCC cover slabs made from machine batched and machine mixed design mix M-30 grade cement concrete, using cement content as per approved design mix, including pumping of concrete to casting slabs, cost of centering, shuttering, finishing, curing and transporting to position and sealing gaps with cement mortar 1:4 if required, as directed by the EiC, but excluding the cost of reinforcement, including admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of EiC.“(Note :- Cement content considered in this item is @ 340 kg/cum. “Excess / less cement used as per design mix is payable/recoverable separately)

Providing and laying rectified anti-skid ceramic glazed floor tiles of size 300x300 mm or nearest size (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), of 1st quality conforming to IS : 15622, of approved make, in all colours and shades, laid on 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand), jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3kg/sqm including pointing the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc., complete.

Providing and fixing 1st quality ceramic glazed wall tiles conforming to IS: 15622 (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), of approved make, in all colours, shades and size as approved by EiC, in skirting, risers of steps and dados, over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3kg per sqm, including pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade complete.

Providing and fixing Polyester powder coated (minimum thickness of polyester powder coating 50 micron) aluminium work for frames and shutters of doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections / appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, supplying and fixing with dash fasteners and other fittings such as handles, stoppers, locks for doors etc. of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of EiC. Providing and fixing Fiber Glass Reinforced plastic (FRP) Door Frames of cross-section 90 mm x 45 mm having single rebate of 32 mm x 15mm to receive shutter of 30 mm thickness. The laminate shall be molded with fire resistant grade unsaturated polyester resin and chopped mat. Door frame laminate shall be 2 mm thick and shall be filled with suitable wooden block in all the three legs. The frame shall be covered with fibre glass from all sides. M.S. stay shall be provided at the bottom to steady the frame.

Providing and fixing to existing door frames 30 mm thick Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) panelled door shutter of required colour and approved brand and manufacture, made with fire - retardant grade unsaturated polyester resin, moulded to 3 mm thick FRP laminate for forming hollow rails and styles, with wooden frame and suitable blocks of seasoned wood inside at required places for fixing of fittings, cast monolithically with 5 mm thick FRP laminate for panels conforming to IS: 14856, including fixing to frames.

Providing and fixing glazing in aluminium door, window, ventilator shutters and partitions etc. with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of EiC. (Cost of aluminium snap beading shall be paid in basic item): With float glass panes of 4.0 mm thickness.

Supplying and fixing rolling shutters of approved make, made of required size M.S. laths, interlocked together through their entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks, mounted on specially designed pipe shaft with brackets, side guides and arrangements for inside and outside locking with push and pull operation complete, including the cost of providing and fixing necessary 27.5 cm long wire springs manufactured from high tensile steel wire of adequate strength conforming to IS: 4454 - part 1 and M.S. top cover of required thickness for rolling shutters. 80x1.25 mm M.S. laths with 1.25 mm thick top cover.

Providing and fixing soil, waste and vent pipes (Type B, pasting type, conforming to IS 13592) of 50mm dia, for removal of waste including all fixtures like bends, elbows, etc. as required including cutting walls and excavating trenches and jointing pipes and fittings with PVC solvent cements and making good the same and testing of joints complete as per the directions of EiC.

Providing and placing on terrace (at all floor levels) polyethylene water storage tank having 3-layer wall thickness, ISI marked, with cover and suitable locking arrangement and making necessary holes for inlet, outlet and overflow pipes but without fittings and the base support for tank. (white colour)

Providing and fixing on wall face un-plasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS: 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS: 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion, with Single socketed pipes of 110 mm diameter.

Supply and installation of prefabricated ferrocement septic tank with soak pit from approved manufacturers including excavation, placing tank in position, plumbing works, backfilling and levelling the ground, placing manhole covers and vent pipes etc. complete including all materials and labour, to meet a user capacity of 10 users.

Supplying and fixing pultruded GRP gratings made of Isophthalic polyester resin containing glass fibre content not less than 60% and having fire retardant characteristics, of 38mm height with I bar spacing not exceeding 40mm c/c and crossbars not exceeding 90 mm c/c, suitable for imposed load of 500kg/sqm of colour grey and designed for a max support span of 1300mm over cable trenches / drains / stairs with bonded grit antiskid surface including fixing to the existing structural steel frames / RCC walls by means of SS hold down clamps, locking arrangement etc. For step ladders, gratings have to be fabricated as per site measurement and shall be rigidly fixed to the existing structural by suitable locking arrangement. 2 Piece locking system of size 700 wide (I-bar) x 1mtr (Cross Rod) Length. The GRP material shall be fire retardant meeting ASTM E84 Class A with Flame Spread less than or equal to 25 & Smoke Density ±200 and UV resistant meeting ASTM G154 with flexural strength not reducing by more than 7% on accelerated UV radiation exposure. Providing and applying fibre reinforced elastomeric liquid water proofing membrane with resilient acrylic polymers having Sun Reflectivity Index (SRI) of 105 on top of concrete roof in three coats @10.76 litres / 10 sqm. One coat of self-priming of elastomeric waterproofing liquid (dilution with water in the ratio of 3:1) and two coats of undiluted elastomeric waterproofing liquid (dry film thickness of complete application / system not less than 500 microns). The operation shall be carried out after scrapping and properly cleaning the surface to remove loose particles with wire brushes, complete in all respect as per the direction of EiC.

Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub-grade and disposal of surplus earth with lead up to 50 metres.

Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of EiC. With material conforming to Grade-I (size range 75 mm to 0.075 mm) having CBR Value-30.

Construction of dry lean cement concrete sub base over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS:383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per specifications, cement content not to be less than 150 Kg/cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, for all leads & lifts, laid with a mechanical paver, compacting with 8-10 tonne vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. complete as per direction of Engineering charge.

Providing and laying factory made chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver blocks In foot path, park & lawns driveway or light & traffic parking etc. of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding/laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand, all complete as per manufacturer's specifications & direction of EiC for 80mm thick Cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern.

Supplying and grouting pockets, base plates, etc. at all levels for static equipment / structural steel supports using non-shrink grouts. Approved make of materials are furnished in Specific requirements of work.

Fixing holding down bolts with nuts and washer plates supplied by a third party, complete to all lines and levels and applying petroleum jelly / grease after erection on exposed surface of bolts and covering with plastic cover to prevent corrosion.

Supplying, drilling/cleaning hole and fixing of HILTI Torque Controlled Expansion Anchor HST3, of sizes ranging from M8 to M24 to the specified embedment depth and activated with adequate torque as per manufacture’s specification, with the applicable tools and tackles, under the guidance of the HILTI supervisor.

Providing and fixing PTMT Ball cock of approved quality, colour and make complete with Epoxy coated aluminium rod with L.P./ H.P.H.D. plastic ball. 25 mm nominal bore, 152mm long, weighing not less than 440 gms.

Providing and fixing M.S. fan clamp type I or II of 16 mm dia M.S. bar, bent to shape with hooked ends in R.C.C. slabs or beams during laying, including painting the exposed portion of loop, all as per standard design complete.

Providing and fixing PVC Floor multi-trap with 50mm waste outlet for draining waste water from toilet, with PVC cover, fixed in alignment with the floor tile and sides sealed for proper drainage of water, as per directions of EiC.

Making plinth protection 50mm thick of cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) over 75mm thick bed of dry brick ballast 40 mm nominal size, well rammed and consolidated and grouted with fine sand, including necessary excavation, levelling & dressing & finishing the top smooth.

ELECTRICAL WORKS : Supply and Erection of 415V,32A, 3 Ph & N, 4 WAY Lighting Distribution Board with one number 32 A 4 pole MCB and ELCB (30mA) as incomer side and 8Nos 10A Single Pole MCBs and 4Nos 16A SPMCB as out going feeders, as per the detailed schedule, scope & special requirements specified in the TPS : 32644-13-TS-001SW & Serial No. 2 and 2.1 of 32644-13-TS-001SIW
