Providing and Fixing wooden acoustic wall paneling in Lecture Hall I and II of Department of Management in IIT Roorkee

Dismantling cement asbestos or other hard board ceiling or partition walls including stacking of serviceable materials and disposal of unserviceable materials within 50 metres lead.

Providing and fixing in position wall paneling of wooden perforated acoustic panels of size 1200x1200 mm, thickness 16 mm made up of moisture resistant high density fiber board with minimum density of 850 Kg/m3 substrate with laminated facing as per approved shade / species with melamine balancing layer on the reverse side & finish having perforation 6 mm dia @15 mm pitch in lineal perforation. The edges of the panels shall be “tongued-and-grooved” to receive special clips for installation. The back of the panels are perforated with 10mm diameter circular holes with a nonwoven acoustical fleece of 3mm thick made from fabric felt manufactured from 100% recycle fabric of density 330 GSM for providing Sound absorption. Wooden Acoustic Panel is to be fixed on specially fabricated galvanised mild steel sheet 0.50 mm thick pressed section (galvanizing @120 grams per sqm including both sides) GI framework with GI Channel studs of size 48 x 34 x 36 mm placed at 600 mm centre to centre vertically and horizontally in floor and ceiling channel section of size 50 x 32 mm fixed to the floor and soffit at 600 mm centre using 12 mm dia, 50 mm long wedge type expanded zinc alloy dash fastner with 10 mm bolt. The Polyester Wadding of 25 mm thickness having density 1000 gsm having flammability - IS 15061-2002 is then to be inserted in the slots of Frame work. Then Panel to installed on the frame work with screws. All Panels are in line & level. Joint Groove in between of two panel will be 4 mm for expansion & contraction. The installed panel should give minimum NRC value of 0.80. Work to be completed as per specification and as per direction of Engineer In Charge. Approved makes are - Credence Esto - PERF -P, or equivalent of Knauf, Anutone, Himalayan or Armstrong make.

Providing & fixing in position wall panelling of Fiber Glass Acoustical Wall Panels of size 600x1200 mm, at all heights of thickness 25 mm with resin bonded square edges having NRC of 0.9 minimum. The panels should be manufactured from high density bio-soluble resin bonded glass wool absorber having density of 96 Kgs/m3 and wrapped on the front side with an acoustically transparent fabric having option of colours and fabric type like jute etc. as approved by engineer-in-charge, plain tissue backer and fabric wrapped hardened edges. Panels should have humidity resistance up to 90 %, thermal conductivity ≤ 0.03 (m² k / w) thermal resistance ≥ 0.9 (m² k / w) & moisture rate ≤ 1% (JC/T670 – 2005). The panel should be fully recycled and fire retardant as per Class A. A special crafted wooden block angloc of width 125 x 1200 mm shall be fixed at distance of 100 mm from each edge of acoustic panel on plain wall. Angloc shall create angle of 5° with the plain wall. Surface impalers of size 3”X4” having projecting element called spikes shall be fixed on the angloc surface at 600 mm center to center horizontally and 600 mm center to center vertically, using self-tapping screws. Silica based construction adhesive to be dabbed on to the projecting elements (spikes) of the impalers. Wall Panels shall be pierced through the spikes of the impalers ensuring line & level of panel are maintained. The panels should be mounted on the impalers horizontally or vertically as per the approved design or as per the directions of the engineer-in-charge. Approved makes are - Credence Creda model no. STR-P, or equivalent of Knauf, Anutone, Himalayan or Armstrong make.
