OUTSOURCING OF OPERATIONS OF ELECTRIC SUPPLY INSTALLATIONS AND LIFTS AT COD UNDER GE I KANPUR

Outsourcing of operation for main receiving station 11 / 6.6 KV and 2 Nos DG Set of capacity 380 KVA, Diesel engine driven alternator with common base plate diesel tank, 12 volts battery, panel boards including battery charges, etc at COD inside by engaging Electrician-03 Nos per day i.e 01x 3 shift of 8 hours duration of duty 24 hours round the clock, including sundays and gazetted holidays for maintaining and smooth functioning the electric supply installation & its equipment including upkeep the electrical installation operational and in healthy condition and carrying out all daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance as required and specified.

Note for item No 01.

The item No. 1.00 includes the following provisions and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the same:-

Contractor will arrange all T & P like tool kit, fuse wire, safety equipments, search light,etc for his workmen.

Duty staff will ensure proper upkeep and operation of all installed machinery and other electrical fittings, fixtures and will report break-downs or any defects immediately to the Engineer-In-Charge/concernd JE and proper shift wise operating record of each plant in log sheets duly signed by shift duty operator, contractor and Engineer in Charge

Record in log sheets for POL/ instruments reading installed on panel for interval as directed by Engineer-in Charge and immediately on failure as well as resume of electric supply. The cost of log sheets,registers for records and any other stationary are included in the quoted rates.

Daily cleaning of equipments and floors including sweeping, cutting & removal of grass, shrubs,bushes inside/ yard area.

One MOBILE PHONE for operating staff will be provided by the contractor at Power house to keep liaison/ communication with concerned JE/ Engineer in Charge.

The electrician shall be qualified with ITI or equivalent to ITI certificate holder and should have sufficient practical experience.

Penalty for non possession of requisite qualification:- The work shall be commenced as per W.O No.1 issued for this contract. Any default on non-possession of requisite qualifications mentioned here-in-before for workmen engaged by the Contractor shall be liable to pay for penalty at the rate of Rs 200/- per day per person.

The operating personnel should be in neat uniform and with shoes.

Penalty for absent on duty by Workmen:- (i) For absence of operating staff at installations or delay in attending or any breakdowns in supply of power caused due to negligence on the part of the working staff, the contractor shall be liable to pay penalty at the rate of double the prevailing minimum wages as fixed by the Central Govt./state Govt or quoted rate whichever is higher per absentee per day. (ii) No additional recovery except as mentioned above will be effected from the quoted rates in Schedule 'A'/ BOQ on account of such cases.

Operation of DG set incase of power supply failure and also operation of VCBs& LT panel in unmanned sub station in COD compound incase of any tripping/fault.

POL as per requirement will be supplied by the Department . Diesel will be provided at site (loc of installation) by the department.The manpower for transportation for shifting of POL from store yard to the installation will be arranged by the contractor and the cost for this provision is deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. However, vehicle for transportation will be provided by the department.

Incase of break down, manning staff shall intimate through telephone or in person to concerned JE E/M Engineer in Charge immediately as possible and such break down record shall be maintained.

Outsourcing of operation for MES 11/ 6.6 KV electric supply installation at VRG sub station by engaging Electrician-03 Nos per day i.e 01x 3 shift of 8 hours duration of duty 24 hours round the clock, including sundays and gazetted holidays for maintaining and smooth functioning the electric supply installation & its equipment including upkeep the electrical installation operational and in healthy condition and carrying out all daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance as required and specified.

Out sourcing of operation the lift electrically operated complete with power driven automatic steel sliding door suitable to carry 13 passengers installed at administrative building in COD area by engaging 01 No. Lift operator in day shift from 08:00 Hrs to 1600 Hrs excluding sundays and gazetted holidays complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item Nos 5.00 and 6.00

Carryout routine check up of lifts as recommended by manufacturer and maintain its records.

Give the telephonic information to concern JE in case of any emergency.

Duty staff will check the lifts, control panels and to keep the premises clean and tidy and will report break-downs or any defects immediately to the Engineer-in-charge/ concern JE.

Communicate message to standby DG set operator in case of electric failure.

The lift operator shall be qualified with ITI or equivalent to ITI certificate holder and should have sufficient practical experience.

Penalty for non possession of requisite qualification:- The work shall be commenced as per W.O No.1 issued for this contract. Any default on non-possession of requisite qualifications mentioned here-in-before for workmen engaged by the Contractor shall be liable to pay for penalty at the rate of Rs 200/- per day per person.

The operating personnel should be in neat uniform and with shoes. Sitting arrangement of operator in the lift will be provided by the Contractor.

(i) In case of lift operator employed found absent on duty, the contractor shall be liable to pay penalty at the rate of double the prevailing minimum wages as fixed by the Central Govt./state Govt or quoted rate whichever is higher per absentee per day. (ii) No additional recovery except as mentioned above will be effected from the quoted rates in Schedule 'A'/ BOQ on account of such cases.
