Pre-Fabrication and Erection of Sulphuric Acid Lines in connection with replacement of in CI lines of product acid pumping and recycle lines in SAP and barge sulphuric acid unloading lines at boat basin (relocation), FACT-CD.

Fabrication of Pipeline and Fittings with SS 316 L Materials size 25 NB to 400 NB for replacing CI pipes and fittings in product acid pumping lines and recycle lines,SAP barge sulphuric acid unloading lines at boat basin ( relocation),FACT-CD The required materials shall be transported from store / site.New pipes,fitting, special fittings etc shall be fabricated with SS 316 L material. The required mitre bends/mitre fittings shall also be fabricated if required to suit the site conditions in SS 316L material. Elbows,tees and reducers shall be fabricated in addition as required at site in SS316L material. The pipes shall be cut by plasma cutting machine, length as per instructions from engineer in charge. Pipe ends shall be ground properly and take suitable bevel / single Vee. The pipes/fittings/mitres shall be fabricated by TIG Welding (with argon purging) with stub ends and MS flanges/welded SS 316L flanges. All welding shall be 100% DP tested.Pipes shall be in pieces or in full pipe length as per instructions from engineer in charge.

Erection of Fabricated SS 316 L Pipe and Fittings Make necessary site arrangements for the work.The newly fabricated SS 316 L pipe lines with fittings shall be transported to site. The SS 316 L pipes with fittings shall be erected / fixed in position at all elevations with proper gaskets and fasteners/welding pipejoint at site. Flange joints shall be tightened properly to avoid any leakage.Temporary supports shall be provided as required. The route/orientation of the pipelines shall be as per approved drawings/site instructions. Any pipelines joint requires welding at site shall be done by TIG welding only after proper bevelling of joints. The pipelines shall be erected without any strain. Any rework required shall be done.All welding joints shall be 100% DP tested. Pipelines shall be erected along side existing lines and necessary supports shall be provided and duirng ATA /shutdown connections shall be given. After complete erection entire pipeline circuit shall be successfully leak tested.Site shall be cleared off scrap, unused pipes shall be neatly stacked in the area earmarked.

Fabrication of stub end rings from SS 316L Plates, size 25 NB to 400 NB. The required stub end rings [size25 NB to 400 NB] shall be marked and cut from SS 316L plates [8 to 12mm thick for SS316L using plasma cutting machine. The rings shall be transported to FACT CD work shop for final machining and back to site. Ring edges shall be ground properly and take suitable bevel / single Vee.12/10 mm scrap SS 316L plates shall be made use for cutting stub ends.

Fabrication and Erection of Pipeline Supports Collection of required materials from FACT -CD stores / plant area and transport to the work site at SA Plant. New structural supports for pipeliens/pipe bridges/ saddle supports etc shall be fabricated and erected at site as per relevant drawing/ instruction of the officer - in -charge to meet site requirement.

Dismantling and Removal of Pipelines/Structurals: The existing CS/CI pipelines [all sizes] and structural supports,pipe bridges shall be cut and removed from all heights and elevations as per the instructions from engineer in charge to facilite erection and rerouting of cooling water and acid headers. Damaged pipes shall be transported to scrap yard, after taking the weight and deposited in the appropriate areas ear marked for different materials. Usable materials shall be transported to specific locations and neatly stacked as per instruction.
