APPENDIX-1 - DRILLING & GROUTING OF MAIN DAM (BLOCK NO 11 TO 14), REAMING OF FORMED DRAINS & DRAINAGE HOLES AND DOWNSTREAM POINTING
Transporting the drilling machine, pump set and other accessories to site including loading and unloading charges, and transporting back after completion of works as per the direction of departmental officers
Shifting /conveying the drilling machine, pumpset and accessories to drilling locations, erecting, dismantling and adjusting to nearest location including all leads, lifts, labour and machine charges etc

Drilling vertical /inclined holes in Masonry/concrete Dam body (main Dam), from top of dam, with diamond drills ('Nx'or nearst available size) and after washing holes, cleaning the holes with air, water loss testing and re-drilling wherever required, including labour charges, machinery, air, water, etc. (excluding cost of core box) with stage height of 3m intervals or as directed including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour charges and any other incidental charges, etc., complete and as directed by the Project Manager.
Drilling vertical/inclined holes in Masonry/concrete Dam body /Rock with core, from top of dam, with diamond drills ('Nx'or nearst available size) and after washing holes, cleaning the holes with air, water loss testing and re-drilling wherever required, taking cores, serially numbering with paint, placing the same in core boxes and transporting including labour charges, machinery, air, water, etc. (excluding cost of core box)at stage height of 3m intervals or as directed including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour charges and any other incidental charges, etc., complete and as directed by the Project Manager.
Conducting field permeability tests in exploratory bore holes of various depths at different elevations of average 3m interval, applying pressure as decided by the Project Manager. ( both ascending and descending)
Drilling vertical /inclined holes from inclined surface of Masonry Dam body in the downstream portion of dam with diamond drills ('Nx'or nearst available size) and after washing holes, cleaning the holes with air, water loss testing and re-drilling wherever required, including labour charges, machinery, air, water, etc. (excluding cost of core box)at stage height of 3m intervals or as directed including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour charges and any other incidental charges, etc., complete and as directed by the Project Manager.
Drilling vertical holes in inclined surface of Masonry Dam body (with core) in the downstream portion of dam with diamond drills ('Nx'or nearst available size) and after washing holes,cleaning the holes with air, water loss testing and re-drilling wherever required, taking cores, serially numbering with paint, placing the same in core boxes and transporting including labour charges, machinery, air, water, etc. (excluding cost of core box)at stage height of 3m intervals or as directed including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour charges and any other incidental charges, etc., complete and as directed by the Project Manager.
Cement grouting with stage grouting at 3m intervals or as directed in the vertical drilled holes in the main dam starting from the bottom of drill hole using packers with Cement grout /grout mix under a maximum pressure as per specification/ codes/direction of the Project Manager and thickening the grout mix as required (as per specification/appropriate methods) by using admixture for increasing workability, including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour, platforms, scaffolding costs on conveyance between holes for any other items not covered in item no. 2) and any other incidental charges, etc. complete as directed by the Project Manager
Cement grouting with stage grouting at 3m intervals or as directed in the drilled holes from the downstream inclined face portion of the main dam (after completing cleaning the holes with air and water loss testing) starting from the bottom of drill hole using packers with Cement grout/grout mix under a maximum pressure as per specification/ codes/direction of the Project Manager and thickening the grout mix as required (as per specification/appropriate methods) by using admixture for increasing workability, including cost of all materials, hire charges of machinery, labour, platforms, scaffolding costs and any other incidental charges, etc. complete as directed by the Project Manager.
Reaming vertical formed drains to the original dia from dam top to crown of foundation gallery and reaming / drilling of drainage holes from gallery to foundation rock for main dam and Flanking dam with appropriate bit to the required depth and flush in the hole including cost of lubricants, power charges and water charges, repair charges, depreciation of machineries, all form work etc complete including cleaning the holes as directed by the dept. officers and as per the specification.
Supplying M.S core boxes with 150x60x10cm with 7 inside compartments and hinged top cover with locking arrangements and 2 Nos. handle on sides, using 2mm thick M.S plate and 30x5mmM.S flats including cutting, shaping, welding, applying a coat of iron primer after scrapping and cleaning, painting with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint, painting bore hole details and name scheme on both sides of lid for identification, etc. complete and measures in weight of the box and as per the direction of departmental officers.
Capping and covering the grout holes at dam top (after the drilling and grouting work is over) using M15 grade of concrete along with water proofing admixture to prevent ingress of rain water , to the desired depth as per the site condition and as directed by the Project Manager.
Cleaning of d/s faces of the dams with high pressure air-water jet, raking of joints and pointing of masonry joints on downstream faces of Main & Flanking dams with cement mortar 1:3 (1cement 3 fine sand) as per specification including cost of labour, materilas,equipment, conveyance charges etc. complete as directed by the Project Manager
APPENDIX - II UPSTREAM TREATMENT OF MASONRY JOINTS AND CONTRACTION JOINTS FOR MAIN & FLANKING DAMS
Raking, cleaning and pointing of masonry joints on upstream face of Main Dam & Flanking dam with UV resistant and anti-shrink materials using crystalline technology(CT), using cementitious materials conforming to BIS/EN-1504-3, Class R4(2014) standards for masonry joint filling to a depth of 5 cm including preparing of ‘T’ joint of masonry by removing of existing loose portion of stone masonry by breaking (using manual / mechanical means ) removing existing embedded M.S. bar, racking out the masonry joints to required depth, cleaning with special chemicals and air water jet under pressure for removing algae/ fungi, applying bond coat before repair material application and top coat after finishing, complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery, labour, scaffolding, hire charges of cranes, insurance charges transportation with all leads and lifts and any other incidental charges as directed by the Project Manager.
Filling the deeper cavities or loose material area inside the masonry joints for both dams which are beyond 5cm and upto 30 cm using cementitious 1:3(1 of OPC 53 grade cement ,3 of fine sand) cement mortar mixed with water proofing admixture (having 28th day compressive strength of more than 7.5N/mm2) inside the masonry joint upto 30 cm depth (underneath the top 5cm depth meant for pointing),using raking tools,complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery,Curing, labour,electricity, scaffolding, hanging platform,pullys,hire charges of cranes, all relevant safety equipments, insurance charges, transportation with all leads and lifts and any other incidental charges as directed by Project Manager. (Work will be measured and paid based on Weight of cement used in 1:3 cement sand mortar filling).
Pack grout filling the internal porous cavities greater than depth of 30cm and upto 1 metre deep in the RR masonry: Treating the internal cavities in both dams greater than a depth 30cm and upto 1 metre deep in the masonry using injection pressure grouting to reduce the porosity of the masonry by drilling hole of 12.5 mm/25mm dia and 200mm deep and fixing PVC nozzles in triangular pattern.Minimum 3 nos of PVC nozzles shall be fixed per 1m2 of the upstream area for grouting. .Grouting the deep cavities inside the masonry joint using Polycementitious materials or equivalant having High strength, quick setting, zero shrink cementetious grout/ along with plasticized,expanding-non shrink grout admixture under required consistency by using 40 psi grouting pump.The grouting material shall give a minimum compressive strength of 35N/mm2 in 28 days when cube tested.All works Complete using all relevant safety equipments with all lead and lifts complete as per specification including cost of all materials, machinery, labour, electricity, scaffolding, hanging platform,pullys,hire charges of cranes,curing, all relevant safety equipments, insurance charges, transportation with all leads and lifts and any other incidental charges as directed by Project Manager.{Work will be measured and paid based on weight of cement and cementitiousmixture (without water) used}
Carrying out treatment at vertical contraction/Block joints for main & Flanking dams, as detailed below: 1. Racking out the Block Joint/ Contraction Joint material completely upto a depth of minimum 150mm from U/S to remove the deteriorated existing system and thoroughly cleaning the surface of the joint to remove all the loose particles,fungus and scale formation by using Air blower & Water jetat pressure. 2. Insertion of compressible Hydrophilic material -To be pushed into contraction joint from upstream side of dam and sealed by inserting compressible hydrophilic backup material which fits into the groove completely.Hydrophilic material shall be filled to a depth of minimum 100mm. 3. Filling the joint by Polyurethane Sealant material upto and above the upstream surface level starting from the finished hydrophilic material surface. 4. Application of Adhesive and fixing minimum 2mm thick and minimum 150mm wide water resistant,UV resistant TPE(Thermo plastic elastomer)/EPDM based joint tape designed for water tightness of expansion and construction joints whichever as specified by the Project Manager on upstream surface of the Contraction joint. 5. Fixing of minimum 2mm thick Aluminium strips 150mm wide for anchoring TPE/TPO/EPDM(Geomembrane material) to U/s face of dam with the help of fasteners, approved by the Project Manager, placed 500mm c/c on each side of the strip to protect the treatment, by deploying expert labours having experience of working on dam structures by using latest machines, tools and all safety equipments as directed by the Project Manager, inclusive of charges for all materials, scaffoldings, electricity, labour, tools, hanging platform, pullys, insurance and plants etc. complete.
