Fabrication and Replacement of CI Sulphuric Acid pipelines & MSRL Phosphoric Acid Lines with SS 316L Pipes, in the Acid Plant Area, FACT-CD.

Fabrication of pipeline and fitting with SS 316 L material, size varies from 20 NB to 200 NB The required materials shall be transported from the store/site. New pipes, fitting, special fittings etc shall be fabricated with SS 316 L material. The required mitre bends/mitre fittings shall also be fabricated to suit the site conditions in SS 316L material. Elbows and tees shall be fabricated to suit site conditions. The SS 316L pipes shall be cut by a plasma cutting Machine, as per instructions to avoid wastage. Pipe ends shall be ground properly with suitable bevel/single Vee. The pipes/fittings/mitres shall be fabricated by TIG Welding only with stub ends, and M.S. slip-on flanges. Pipes shall be in pieces or full pipe length ( 5.7 to 6m) as per instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge.

Erection of fabricated SS 316 L Pipe and Fittings of Size 20 NB to 200 NB The newly fabricated SS 316 L pipelines with fittings shall be transported to the site, at various elevations. The SS 316 L pipes with fittings shall be erected/fixed in position with proper gaskets and fasteners. Flange joints shall be tightened properly to avoid any leakage. TIG welding at the site shall be done after proper fit-up and edge preparation. Temporary support shall be provided if required. The pipeline route shall be as per approved drawing/site instructions by the Engineer in Charge.

Fabrication of stub end rings from SS 316L Plates, size 20 NB to 200 NB. The required stub end rings [size 20 NB to 200 NB] shall be marked and cut from SS 316L plates [8 to 12mm thick for SS316L using a plasma cutting machine. The rings shall be transported to the FACT CD workshop for final machining and back to the site. Ring edges shall be ground properly with suitable bevel/single Vee. 12/10 mm scrap SS 316L plates shall be used for cutting stub ends.

Dismantling of old cast iron pipes / MSRL pipes size 20 NB to 200 NB The existing cast iron / MSRL pipes and fittings, at various elevations/pipe bridges, shall be dismantled/removed as per the instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge. The usable pipes shall be transported/stacked at the specific location and scraped to the scrap yard.

Fabrication and Erection of Pipeline Supports Collection of required materials from FACT -CD stores/plant area and transport to the work site at PA Plant. New structural supports for pipelines/pipe bridges /saddle supports etc. shall be fabricated and erected at the site as per the relevant drawing/ instruction of the Officer-in-charge to meet site requirements.
