Providing and laying Bituminous macadam of specified compacted thickness using VG30 grade bitumen on prepared surface with specified IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of (specified grading premixed with bituminous binder) grading conforming to Table 500-7 for base course, including loading of aggregates with F.E. loader and Hot mixing of stone aggregates and bitumen in Hot mix plant 40-60 TPH capacity, transporting the mixed material to the site, laid over a previously prepared surface with mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level & alignment and rolled as per clauses 501.60 and 501.70 using Smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonnes for initial break down rolling and Vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes for intermediate rolling and Finish rolling with 6-8 tonnes Smooth wheeled tandem roller to achieve the desired compaction as per Technical specification No.504 of MORTH including cost of cleaning with air compressor 250 cfm, all labour, materials, hire charges of machinery, loading, unloading and conveyance etc., but excluding cost of prime/tack coat as per specification vide clause No. 504 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by Engineer-in-charge during execution with the following materials.
Note: 1. Although the rollers are required only for 3 hrs as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for 6 hrs as the Hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. To cater for the idle period of these roller there usage rates have been multiplied by a factor of 0.65
2. Quantity of Bitumen has been taken for estimate purpose. The actual quantity will depend upon job mix formula.
3. Labour for traffic control, watch and ward and other miscellaneous duties at site including sundries have been included in administrative overheads of the contractor.
4. In case of bitumen emulsion usage the above rates vary.
Grading II (19 mm nominal size) Layer thickness - 50 to 75mm with 3.4% of Bitumen by weight of total mix.
Providing and laying Bituminous concrete of specified thickness by Hot mix plant 100-120 TPH capacity using bitumen of grade VG30, IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler (Qurry Rubbish) conforming to Table 500-17 & Table 500-9, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment rolling with smooth wheeled 8-10 tonne, vibratory 8-10 tonne and tandem 6-8 tonne rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per Specification vide Clause No.507 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge during execution.
