Strengthening of Steel Roof Truss Structure at Bagging Plant Railway Siding Area in FACT CD, Ambalamedu, Kochi

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system for all type of works using 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical joining with cup & lock system including necessary working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after .The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners,connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge (The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose .The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding).

Chipping & removing portions of existing RCC works carefully without damaging the remaining structure & removing the debris as per directions within a distance of 150 m.

Dismantling and clearing away any thickness of rubble, brick, laterite in CM including disposal of debris as per directions within a distance of 150 m.

Dismantling the existing structural carefully without damaging the remaining portions including conveying and stacking at places pointed out initally & then removal of structural after cutting to suitable length to FACT scrap yard through mechnical means (Measurements will be based on actual weight taken at FACT's weigh bridge).

Chipping & removing old cement plastered surface including racking out joints & clearing the surface for replastering & disposal of the debris as per directions within a distance of 150 m.

Dismantling AC / GI / Tufflite / Aluminium sheet roofing / side cladding & depositing the debris away from plant limit within a distance of 150 m.

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer- In-Charge-75mm average thickness.

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer- In-Charge-50mm average thickness.

Reinforcement Cleaning: Cleaning reinforcement of total rust by tapping or using wire brush or any other suitable way including from behind and around the reinforcement bars to give it a totally rust free finished steel surface.

Rust Removal: Providing and applying approved alkaline chemical rust remover with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application.

Anticorrosive Treatment to Steel: Providing and applying single coat of zinc rich anti corrosive coating such as nitozinc primer in 40 micron thickness to the exposed reinforcing bars after application of alkaline rust remover on main and lateral links all complete as directed by Engineer- In-Charge.

Providing and applying bond coat on the prepared surface to receive new polymer mortar/polymermodified concrete, with two componentsepoxy based bonding coat Concresive1414 of BASF/Nitobond EP of Fosroc orequivalent material in one full coat.Laying of reinstatement polymer mortaror micro concrete shall be completedwithin the overlay time of bonding coat.This bond coat act as bonding agentbetween old and new concrete. Item rateinclusive of all materials, labours,supervision, tools, tackles, transportation, fixing etc., complete as per specification and as directed.

Polymer Modified Micro- Concrete: Providing and laying of polymer modified micro- concrete like Emaco S46 T of BASF/Renderoc RG (S)of Fosroc/ReCon MC 40 of Conmix or equivalent material blended with washed, saturated surface-dry (SSD), graded, low absorption, high density aggregates of size 8 mm & below up to 30% by weight of micro-concrete and water at 4 lit. per 25 kg bag and pouring into the form work using suitable pumping device for uniform flow of concrete. The side shuttering can be removed after 3 days and the bottom shuttering after 7 days ensuring proper bond between the micro concrete and existing concrete substrate. Item rate inclusive of all materials, labours, supervision, tools, tackles, transportation, curing, etc., complete as per specification and as directed.

Cement Concrete work in 1:1½:3 nominal mix using 20 mm and downgrade hard granite broken stone including all charges for cement ,mixing concrete, laying, consolidating, curing etc.complete but excluding cost of form work & reinforcement works-For foundation footings, bottom & sides of trenches, equipment foundations, plinth beams, lintels, slabs, columns & beams etc.up to 5 m from ground level.

Providing formwork to RCC works with necessary wooden planks, joists, runners, posts etc.including removal after completion of works-For columns/Foundation footings

Providing reinforcements to RCC works with MS / Tor steel rods including all charges for conveying, straightening/uncoiling, cutting, bending, placing rods in position & tying with GI / black annealed tying wire of suitable gauge etc. complete.including cost of reinforcement

Cement block masonry work in CM 1:6 using good quality, approved, cement blocks including charges for conveying, scaffolding charges etc. as per departmental instructions for super structure walls up to 5 m height from ground level/floor level including cost of cement

Cement plastering with CM 1:4,12 mm thick one coat floated hard and trowelled smooth at all levels,including cost of cement.

Supplying, Conveying, fabrication and erection of structural steel work bolted or welded at all levels as per scope drawing for trusses, purlins, louver brackets, louver runners bracings, stair cases, platforms, hand rails ladder, threaded sag rods, splices, etc. with M.S angles, channels, tees, flats, RSJs, rods, pipes and plates including cutting, welding, cleaning, erecting and painting with two coats of zinc chromate primer (one shop coat and one coat after erection) and two coats of chemical resistant enamel paint of approved quality and colour over the primer including supply of necessary MS bolts and nuts other than holding down bolts.(The structural steel material shall be of M/s. SAIL / RINL / TISCO /JINDAL make) - Required gas and electrodes will be supplied free of cost by FACT at stores

Providing Polycarbonated corrugated sheets,1.20 mm or nearest thickness of suitable colour as approved by Engineer-in-charge, fixing with 8 mm dia or nearest size GI bolts & nuts of suitable size to suit at site with G.I. plain, bitumen washers and necessary corroshield stitch bolts,scaffolding etc. complete as per departmental Instructions.

Roofing/side cladding with AC corrugated/Semi corrugated sheets 6 mm thick with 8 mm or nearest available dia and suitable length polymer coated Hooks/bolts and nuts,GI and bitumen washers ,cutting sheets to required shape/length, providing a minimum overlap of 150 mm at ends including cost of AC sheets and all other materials, scaffolding charges etc complete at all heights.

Supply of PVC roofing sheet of 1mm thickness of LOTUS or equivalent make of required length for side cladding / roofing work in the rquired plant areas.

Roofing / side cladding with PVC sheets with polymer coated J, or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8 mm or nearest dia. G.I. plain and bitumen washers or with self drilling fastener and EPDM washers etc. complete (minimum 9 number on each sheet inclusive of bolts & nuts provided in the lap areas) , and roofing compound including necessary overlap of 150 mm at ends and an overlap of minimum two corrugations at side etc. complete at all levels .

Dismantle existing valley gutter, supply, conveying and fixing AC valley gutters VG 10 of Everest or equivalent make with all required specials such as drop ends,stop ends,nozzles,union clips,etc. with 8mm dia GI bolts and nuts GI &bitumen washers over MS brackets already provided and making the joints of gutter leak proof with 6mm dia asbestos rope and bituminous jointing compound etc. as per departmental instructions at all heights including the cost of scaffolding if required.

Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion at all levels.110mm diameter pipe.

Anchoring rebar after placing in position and inserting into the holes drilled and grouted using the grout manufactured by HILTI or equivalent make for beams as directed by the engineer-in-charge.Rate shall include supply of all materials (except reinforcement rods), conveyance, all charges for cleaning the surface, ,drilling holes, fixing rebar, grouting etc,at all levels by Hilti authorized personnel (reinforcement rods will be paid in separate item) with16mm dia rebar of 273mm development depth using chemical RE-500 V3.

Cleaning the structural/other surface neatly at all heights, manually with suitable tools or with high pressure water jet spray (using suitable mechanical means), and scraping if required, to remove the whole accumulated dust, rust, dirt etc as per departmental instructions.

Painting with one coat of approved quality exterior primer to walls, columns, beams, slabs etc after neatly cleaning the surface by removing loose paint, dirt etc.by cleaning with water, scrapping etc. at all heights including cost of all materials, labour charges etc.complete as per instructions.

Painting with one coat of external emulsion of approved quality and colour over the priming coat already done and paid separately after cleaning with cotton waste including cost of all materials, labour charges etc complete at all heights as per departmental instructions.

Painting with one coat to old surface/succeeding coat of external emulsion of approved quality and colour after cleaning with cotton waste including cost of all materials, labour charges etc complete at all heights as per departmental instructions.

Disposal of moorum/ building rubbish/ malba/ similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading to approved dumping ground for lead up to 10 km for all lifts, within the premises of FACT CD, complete as per directions of Engineer in-Charge.
