SPECIAL REPAIR OF ROADS IN BDE AREA UNDER GE ROORKEE

Repair to potholes of depth n-exc 30cm not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed, macadam, binder & chippings) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for premix bituminous macadam laid/ rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with Paving bitumen VG-10 blinder content of 4% by weight of total mix (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Wherever width of road is restricted and power roller can't use then the compaction to be done using vibrating roller not less than 3.0 tonne.

M&L for Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. swe- eping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bitumious primer of paving bitumen content (VG-10) @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of cleaned dry surface by a self propelled or bitumen pressure sprayer equipped for spraying the tack coat uniformly complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content ( VG-10) by weight of total mix, rolled with power roller exc 8 tonne & n.exc 12 tonne and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for thermoplastic reflective paint as in road marking 2 mm thick single coat as in centre line or edge line road marking of 100/150 mm width using HOT MARK thermoplastic paint ( Hot application) white by indigeneous modern propelled raod marking machine as directed including all ingredients such as binder glass beads Titanium-diaoxide calcium carbonate lintar fillers thermoplastic requirement for glass beads shall be as per the table No. 800-4 specification including spraying of glass beads instrucions complete all as specified and as directed.
