REPAIR/MAINTENANCE AND CHECKING OF EARTHING RESULTS AND REMEDIAL ACTION FOR ACHIEVING OF EARTHING RESULTS FOR VARIOUS TYPES EARTHING PITS AT TECH AREA AT AF STATION JAMNAGAR

Deployment of manpower, instrument, tools, and all connected accessories for testing of earth resistance of existing earthing at provided earth test point for each earth set by competent calibrated digital earth test meter, electronic type along with accessories (earth rod set with Cu wire with clips) and recording the result dully signed with date by MES representative, User and contractor all as specified & as directed by Engg-in - Charge.

NOTE:- (a) Testing of each earthing shall be carried out at the interval of 3 months and measurement and payment shall be done each time separately and test result shall be maintained dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor. (b) Pouring of water in each earth pit is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (c) Necessary arrangement to be made by the contractor for pouring the water in earth pits. Vehicle reqd for carrying/storage of water (upto to the site) with helper will be arranged by contractor and deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (d) Cost of Maintenance of carrying vehicle (if any) and cost of fuel reqd for veh is deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

Supply and fix in repairs Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size of 75 mm x 75 mm x 25 mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8 mm dia and 25 mm long screw, fixed in SMC junction box of size 170 x 170 x105mm hinged door fixed on wall complete all as specified and as directed. Note : SMC juction box will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule. Make:-ELMEX/CONNECT WELL/WAGO

M&L for PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm with 120 mm thick wall and 700 mm x 700 mm x 150 mm thick bed concrete and 50 mm thick precast chamber cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B1 , reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I including demolition of old pit complete.

Supply and pour Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel in 5 Kg packing all as specified and directed. Make:- JJ Engineering / SM Infotech / Powertack/ Power Plus

Supply and filling Common Salt in existing conventional earth pits in appropriate pacakage all as specified and directed.

Brazing of copper strip using brazing touch at suitable temp and using brazing rod all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix mild steel galvanised earth strip of size 32 x 6 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing with brass screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as specified and directed. Note : Epoxy insulator will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule.

Supply and fixing copper earth strip of size 20 x 3 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing with brass screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminals including taking down old strip all as specified and directed. Note : Epoxy insulator will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule.

Supply and fix Aluminium earth strip of size 25x3mm with epoxy insulators and fixing with brass screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as specified and directed. Note :Epoxy insulator will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule.

M&L for marking of earthing pit (GI earth / Copper earth / Chemical earth) with two or more coat of synthetic enamel paint, colour & pattern as approved by the Engr-in-Charge, Letter size shall not be less than 50 mm complete all as specified & directed. Material and Labour for renewal of Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm.× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less'than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to using galvanised iron strip 32×6mm as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion.

Note : The Quoted rate for above item includes the cost of following : - (a) Earth electrode. (b) Main earthing lead from earth electrode to test point of 7.5 metre. (c) Material and labour for connecting earth electrode and earthing lead as specified. (d) Adequate quantity of charcoal dust, common salt and adequate quantity of chemical (e) All labour involved including testing of earth net work. (f) Excavation and earth work or drilling hole for electrode.

(g) P.C.C. pit and C.I. cover. (h) Funnel with watering pipe, wire mesh and copper lugs etc. as specified. (j) G.I. protection pipe of size ordered specified for protection of earthing lead from mechanical injury or tempering. (k) Test point. (l) Connecting lead from test point to main

Material and Labour for renewal of Chemical earthing with copper earth plate 90x60cmx5mm & copper earth strip 50x6mm.

Supply and fixing in repairs copper earth strip of size 50 x 6 mm and fixing with brass screws etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 15 mm bore (internal dia) ISI marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fittings such as elbow, union reducer, tees, bends etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs Unplasticised PVC pipe of pressure rating 10 kg/cm2 of size 20 mm bore (internal dia) ISI marked laid in trenches / on floor, ceiling etc including with all fitting such as elbow, union reducer, tees, bends, etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs 15 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs 20 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs 15 mm size PVC perforated caps screw to end of puff or vent pipe fixed on UPVC pipe and ISI marked complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs Air termination, single pointed Copper rod 12 mm dia and 300mm long lightning arrester, screwed for easy fitment and fixing with and including base plate with 10 mm holes on four corners for necessary fixing arrangement on top / side of PCC(1:3:6) block of size (15cmx15cmx20cm) complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs PCC block (15cmx15cmx20cm) for fixing of GI/Aluminium/Copper strip with suitable size of insulators on roof top complete as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs 25 mm size epoxy type insulator suitable for fixing earthing strip including screw etc as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs Aluminium conductor steel reinforced, all sizes Note:-Conductor to be fixed on High mast lightning conductor pole of 11/12/16 Mtrs including screwing with insulators etc complete as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs Cable with copper conductor PVC round sheathed (flexible) industrial cable of size 6 sqmm NOTE:-Cable to be fixed on High mast lightning conductor pole of 11/12/16 Mtrs upto to the test point including screwing with insulators etc complete as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair GI funnel of any type and size to be fix in existing earth pit including Cleaning of earth chamber complete as specified and directed.

S&F in repair Air termination, Star pointed copper rod 14 mm dia and 500 mm long with copper Air Rod fixed in position on pole complete with clamp and nut bolts all as specified and directed

Supply and installation of 6 meter long GI tube(ISI marked) ,'medium Grade, dia 40mm (including 2 mtr FRP) mast on the flat RCC roof/ PCC platform of the building along with fixing arrangement with guy wire(dia 4mm) of suitable length duly embedded in and including cement concrete (1:2:4)of size 40x40x40cm platform complete for supporting mast with all accessories for installation of lightening arrestor spike on the Top of mast complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs Copper strip 32 x 6mm buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of Sheet moulding compound (SMC) junction box of size 170 x 170 x105mm including Galvanised mild steel clamps, nuts and bolts complete. Make : SINTEX / Legrand / Hensel

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth, for foundation, / laying of pipe / cable etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick using excavated soil all as directed

Removing excavated soil to distance n.exc 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point all as directed.
