REPAIR MAINT OF CERTAIN FLEXIBLE PORTION OF RUNWAY, TAXI TRACK AND PARALLEL TAXI TRACK WITH POLYMER EMULSIFIED (COLD EMULSION) BITUMEN AT AF STATION TEZPUR UNDER GE (AF) TEZPUR

M & L preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing any foreign objects or other stone pieces /vegetations etc and sweeping with brooms and finally cleaning with air compressor, making the surface free from dust and appying polymer modified bitumen emulsion PMBEs by spraying with conventional tractor mounted container and sprayer complete for uniform apllication with undiluted quantity of PMBEs @ 0.300 litres/sqm mix with water in 1:1 ratio and (total quantity 0.6 liter/Sqm) provide uniform finish to runway complete as specified and as directed . Note:- (a) The work shall be carried out after filling of pores, pin/pot holes of area not exc 491 sqmm each and filled with ready mix Dense asphaltic concrete (DAC) and finished properly to match with existing flexible portion of runway and to be executed one day before placing of polymer modified emulsion, and rate will be inclusive in quoted rate. (b) Contractor shall produce original purchase voucher of PMBEs from authorised dealer. (c) Contracotor shall bring the materials and to be incorperated after checking the consignment by Engr in charge. (d) Runway surface friction will be tested by the contractor prior and after the application of PMBEs and rates thereof shall included in the unit rate of this item. (e) Arrangement for protection of centre line light to be made before application of bitumen emulsion . Any damage to center light to be repaired at the cost to the contractor. (f) Protection to center line painting to be arranged by the contractor and cost of the same shall be included in the quoted rate. (g) Any spillage of bitumen emulsion over existing center line paint and center line light to be removed by the contractor and cost of the same shall be included in the quoted rate.

Material and labour for preparing old painted surfaces of rigid pavement and flexible pavement (concrete or asphaltic base) of PTT , Taxi Track, links, Tarmac or like and applying a coats of aqua base road marking paint as per manufacturer's instruction (white / golden / yellow/ orange) as lines / dashes/ letters etc width or girth exceeding 10 cm complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per serial item No 2.00 here - in - before but surfaces not exc 10 cm width or girth.

Grinding incl cutting of edges where required with electrically/diesel operated grinding machine of existing undulated rigid portion of runway and dispersal and maintain proper finish with adjoining rigid surface maintaining proper surface texture and surface condition and remove all debris/material obtained after grinding to a distance up to and n. exc.100 Mtrs and deposited where directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- Surface of runway should not get any kind of damage during the process of grinding. Damages made if any shall make good by the contractor without any extra cost.

M & L for pouring of modified streaming asphalt sealing compound to use in the crack of flexible portion of runway or PTT of 6 mm to 25 mm wide including removal of dust, flakes, oil, grease or other particles by air blower and clean the surface make it smooth before application of asphaltic sealing compound, it is ready to use without requirement of heat for preapration of sealing compound, easy to use at site without mixing of other material. Note :- (a) Asphaltic sealing compound should be ready to use, no requirement of mixing of other foreign materials like aggrgate, sand etc.. (b) Contractor is suggested to check crack at site before quoting of rate.

M & L for application of bitumen ropes of 1/4" to 1/2" diameter, it contains elastomeric, self leveling sealant used in filling of cracks of rigid or flexible pavement, it combines tenacius adhesive power with extraordinary resiliency to protect against infiltration of moisture or incompressibles through repeated thermal cycles of expansion & contraction, properly applied in cracks and melt by direct heat process like melting tourches etc. including removal of dust, flakes, oil, grease or other particles by air blower and clean the surface make it smooth before application of bitumen rope complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (a) Asphaltic sealing compound should be ready to use, no requirement of mixing of other foreign materials like aggrgate, sand etc.. (b) Contractor is suggested to check crack at site before quoting of rate.

M & L for application of self adhesive, cold applied, polyemer modified, high tack bituminous instant runway, taxiway, tarmac, apron crack sealing tape of 50/75/100/150 mm as per requirement of site, 2 mm thick having quick release film on one side which form high strength water-proof layer after cleaning of cracks of runway, taxiway, tarmac etc complete all as specified and as directed.
