PROVISION OF RETROFIT EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR DG SET 160 KVA AT JOC MESS SUBSTATION, NAVAL BASE KOCHI

Supply, installing, testing and commissioning Retrofit Device in 160 KVA Diesel Generator Set for emission control complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge with the following Specification, (a) Type approved by CPCB recognized/ approved laboratories as mentioned in the note below. (b) Technology/Type: DPF (Diesel Particulate filter),Wet Scrubbing, Diesel Oxides Catalyst or any other as directed/approved (c) Capturing Chamber Material: Stainless Steel or as recommended/approved (d) Disposal : No burning or dumping of captured particles (e) As per PS NOTES: (a) The emission control device / Equipment must be type approved with having a minimum Particulate matter (PM) reduction efficiency of at least 70%, at any one of the CPCB, recognized/ approved laboratories as given below: (i) Automotive Research Association of India, Pune (Maharashtra) (ii) International Centre for Automotive Technology, Manesar (Haryana) (iii) Indian Oil Corporation, Research and Development Center, Faridabad (Haryana) (iv) Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) (v) Vehicle Research Development Establishment, Ahmednagar (Maharashtra

(b) Maximum back pressure of 8,500 Pa exerted by the Emission Control retrofit device at max prescribed load by DG OEM (as per the capacity of the DG set). Necessary precautions to be taken in exhaust scheme design to avoid condensate/steam back entry to DG sets which is/are not in operation. The sensors for temperature and back to be fixed and shown in the display panel. (c) Emission Control retrofit device shall be complete with safety precautions to ensure no damage should be done to the DG set operations under any circumstances. The Emission Control retrofit device should be closely coupled with the DG exhaust to ensure 100% of the exhaust passes through the Emission Control retrofit device. (d) Anti-Vibration mountings shall be provided for complete Emission Control retrofit device in case of flexible coupling with the diesel generator exhaust (e) The Emission Control retrofit device shall be with corrosion resistive and HR paint. (f) Standard set of tools consisting of a set of 3 spanners, one screw driver, one standard plier and one nose plier of appropriate size to be provided along with each Emission Control retrofit device. (g) Exhaust piping, civil/fabrication work, electric cabling etc to be done all as directed (h) Testing for all the parameters i,e PM, Nox+HC, CO etc to be done before and after fixing the Retrofit Device from any NABL accredited/Recognized by MoEF(CPCB) lab all as directed and results to be submitted (j) If any damage caused to the DG set is complete responsibility of the contractor to make it good.
